I have alltell and so does my husband and they have called both our phones, and we live in Ohio

I got a call on my cell phone but missed it.  thank you for the info i am calling my family ASAP to tell them not to answer their phone.

I also received a call on my cell from a person named Jeff calling for Kids First from this phone number.  I told him "I am  not interested and you are using my cell minutes and Goodbye."  I hope this isn't the beginning of a bad situation!!!!  I also have an Ohio number with Alltel.

I got an early call at 6AM tomorrow and the dimwits contacted me on my relatively unknown cell phone number.

I never get these so it's really annoying when it does happen. I am glad I didn't pick up though.

I also received a call from this number, and for some reason I have never googled a phone # before....this is pretty cool.  Won't waste my time trying to call it back...tried several times and it was busy.  Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I got acall from these people and I have AT&T with an iPhone (with an area code of 740). Maybe there is a connection with the place getting ahold of the numbers

6/3/08 Got a call from 505-247-1942.  In New Mexico and I didn't recognize number so I ignored it.  No message was left on my voice mail.  I believe it's a SCAM.

Received the call from this no. at 4:30 p.m. today (6/3).  I have All-Tel in OH as well.  This is the first call like this (unsolicited sales call) I have ever received on my cell!!!

Received call on cell. Friend with same prefix of cell number also received a call from them. Don't want to get sales calls on cell phone.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone while here at work this a.m.

I too looked the number up on the internet and came to this page. I thought when you were on the "do not call" list, this was supposed to be regulated?? What's the since in signing up for that if they can still call you?

Fortunately I received a call in my office and could not listen to whatever it was he wanted to say and he just hung up!! I think it sad when they start out by mentioning their name is "Kids First" of course you will want to help out a child!!!

didnt anser this call. found it was new Mexico. apparently its a scam.

I got the call today.  Even though the guy sounds "human", I seriously think it was a computer calling me.  All of the responses he had were so automated-like.  If it was a computer call, it was very advanced and seemed to have an answer for most of my questions.  Some of my questions were blown off and answered with an "ok".  Like he asked me if I wanted to participate and I said, "sure, but how did you get my number?" and he said "ok" and proceeded with the pitch.  He asked me to spell my name so I assume it was recorded because I only spelled it once.  I asked, "Can you call my home phone next time?" and he said please give me you home number.  I rattled it off and it/he said, "I'm sorry I did not get that, can you repeat your home number?"  That was when I thought, HA, this may be an automated call and I might be talking to a computer.  This is just my thinking and possibly the reason why "Jesse of Jeffy" or whatever his name was may have sounded rude to some callers.  Because afterall, he doesn't have all the answers... just the programmed ones.

I also got this call today, did not answer as I don't answer numbers I do not know.

I also am on an Alltel cell in Montana....weird.

weird. I have a nextel in licking country and he tried the same BS. Your right he got the numbers some were

Looks like these are the days for Ohio.  Got me today and my wife a couple days ago.  He said "Hello this is .... From Kid's First, how you are you today"  I said "WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME?"  He said "great, the reason I am calling....Click.

ya, me too. got [***] woke up at 10:45 by this call with a 740 cell phone

btw this is NOT just an alltel thing. i got called on an AT&T phone from them.
