Kep getting calls from this number..I don't answer

I got a phone call today from someone asking for mrs Smith I told him no such person lived here and he asked me if my phone number was correct and I said yes then he proceeded to tell me then I must be the right person and to please tell him my name.  Warning bells and whistles going off in my head and I responded with who is this and why was he calling and he said that if I could just give him my name he could explain it and I proceeded to tell him why the [***] would I tell him who I was and he told me I was abusing him so I hung up.

This guy with this heavy indain accent from this 5109433040 number keeps calling me saying i owe money on a car loan and can he have my credit card number i informed him i have never heard of that comapny before and the car that i have is PAID OFF he says "oh well its a fee from the bank" and its a bank ive never heard of...i asked to be placed on their do not call list get this he says i have to pay for that too!!!...So finally i asked to speak with a manager he said he couldnt do that and hung up!

I got this call twice, the first time, he said hi i am from microsoft and you have a virus on your computer, I said what is my name, he hung up. they still keep calling but no one is there

someone from this number asked me to log into internet to resolve my computer prob. I told him that i had given my comp for repair and they would change my HD

Just got a call (March 11, 2011) from that number telling me that my computer was going to crash, so to go and turn on my computer immediately.  Hung up.  There may be a succer born every minute but I ain't one of them!  :)

A men called me on March 12 2011. He now my first and last name. He told me that he is sending a virus to my computer. I  thoght that it is joke but he repet 3 times. I asked him "what is you name?" and he said - "HACKER - I am sending a virus to your computer" - I said "Do it". He hang up. I stil thoght that is a joke but when I open my computer at the evening HARD DRIVE was gone.

Had a call last night from 510 #.  Asked for Mrs (my last name).  I did not confirm my identity, but asked "who are you?"  He said I'm William calling from (name) digital software.  I am doing a follow up courtesy call on your PC servicing.  I said wow, that's amazing because my computer isn't a PC (it's a mac)and has never been serviced by anyone!

Today at 11:43 pacific time, a call from phone number - 123-456-7890 !!!!  what the hell is that!  SAME FREAKIN' GUY!!!  I told him he has nothing to do with my computer & F*** off.  I said I am reporting his calls to the appropriate agencies.

We live in Nova Scotia and received the call tonight that is exactly the same as many of the other ones - someone looking to fix the computer problems we've been having. Fortunately my husband is a programmer and asked the person more questions and then hung up. We then reported the number to our local RCMP branch and I posted a warning to Facebook so that people in our local area hopefully know that our province is being targeted right now. It's so offensive to have somebody reach into your home like that and try to do something illegal. The number was the same 510-943-3040

Got ANOTHER call  from this idiot but I wasn't there this time. He doesn't even have the IQ necessary to erase the numbers where he was busted so he call them AGAIN...At this point it's rather pathetic.

I'm in Vancouver and just got the call at 7PM PDT.

Seeing this unfamiliar number on my call display, I answered the phone with a curt, clipped "yes?"

Nothing for 10 seconds, then an electronic "goodbye".

they've called me twice.... are people reporting this to the police.... how do i go about reporting it if i do? thankfully i have been at work both times... but the number comes up on my call display

They have called me repeatedly saying that my computer has sent horrible error messages. They claimed to work for Microsoft and wanted to know which operating system I'm using. I told them that I have no idea and couldn't help them with their questions. It's clearly a scam and I sure hope they will quit calling. Maybe I'll just block their number. I reside in Victoria and see other's have been called in my area as well.

GOT A CALL TODAY SAYING MY AUTO LOAN FOR 20K WAS APPROVED. TOLD THEM I NEVER APPLIED, HE HUNG UP. ALSO A VICTIM OF ID THEFT AND I THINK THIS MUST BE RELATED!

I am in Victoria BC, we have had a few of these annoying calls.  When he phoned last night he actually had my name. That really annoys me, because it is not in the phone book (not my whole name) so who is selling this information to these low life leeches?  I cannot imagine people getting taken by this, but I am sure there sure some, and it is very sad.  Shot drawn and quartered comes to mind.

i have been getting calls from this number latley. i live in minnesota. i havent answered my phone yet when they have called. but when i tryed to call them back it says that the number is no longer in service.i have a cell phone so i cant do this but if they are calling your home phone you can call you phone pervider and give them the number and have them put a block on it.so they cant call you any more.

Got a call from 510-943-3040. They said their servers were getting error messages from my computer for the past 2 weeks. (I own and operate a computer repair shop) I asked "Who owns the servers? What type of server are they - Email, FTP, Citrix, Gaming, SharePoint, BES? What is the IP address of your server? What is the error message you get? What IP address are you getting the error from?" He said "What?" I repeated myself. As I did that, I searched for the owner of 510-943-3040, found out it was TIME WARNER TELECOM, Oakland (East Bay), California. He said "Ummmm". I said "Do you have any of that information? Are you at Time Warner’s office in Oakland? The line went dead then, he must have hung up. I think I scared the kid - must be his first day as a telemarketer. I called the number back a dozen times and got a busy signal – It’s probably their diallers input number.

Got the call about 20 minutes ago, middle eastern male stating they have been receiving error messages over the past two weeks from y pc. I asked where he was from he stated Micro Soft and that he needed me to turn on my pc so that he could assist me in fixing the virus that had infected my pc. i realized at this point that it was a scam so I told him I could not speak with him at this time and hung up.

I just received an obscene phone call from this 510-943-3040 number.  This man sounded Middle Eastern, as the music blaring in the background was all of that Middle Eastern music.  I listened to it for a bit before he came on the line and asked me if I wanted him to F&*^ my Pu%%y....and If I had a husband who did not satisfy me.  I could not stop laughing at his accent when he told me what he wanted to do to me.......I asked him if he always sounded so stupid when he tried to be obscene. It was too funny......He hung up on me :-).............Really pitiful when you can't get a decent obscene phone call from an International number!  I guess I just embarrassed him too much when I laughed at him...............Oh well................Needs to get better at his job!  It worked and he hung up.

Same caller I heard from on March 16th.  I recognized the number from last week, so I answered very rudely "You have nothing to do with my computer jerk!"  He said "What!?" & then tried to hang up but I stayed on the line.  I could hear him talking frantically to someone in the background while trying to disconnect.  I finally hung up, laughing....
Tried calling the number, but get a fax machine type squealing.
