- retiredReceived a call from Jamie with FMR Assoc. I told her we are on the no call list. I told her she was not a charity. She said they are taking a survey about child care. I told her again that is not a charity and to take this phone number off their calling list. I told her I was going to report her and then I hung up.

You can see the Google Map of their (Bruce & Janet) lovely (read: fancy & huge) home here (gated community, naturally):
5150 N VIA DE LA GRANJA TUCSON,AZ
But nothing wrong with sending Bruce or Janet a letter, or two. Maybe do your own "survey" ...explain to them you don't have to comply with the DNC rules, kind of thing.
Anyone with a little initiative can get a home phone number. Numbers that are "unlisted" just means it costs more to obtain.
You can always make a couple (dozen) phone calls to places like the Tucson Chamber of Commerce and the BBB and the Az Corp. Commission about them. Sure, they'll tell you it's not their problem, but eventually they'll get sick of people calling them and ol' Bruce and Janet well get quite a bad name among their fancy social circles.
Look what happened to Don Lapre. He ended up committing suicide.
People are no longer tolerating those who are not bringing value to this world...even among the upper class.
Turn the tables.

- Ellery Queen replies to Eric| 4 repliesOne small problem with Call Rejection-First it has to be bought as part of a package. Second-and perhaps most important- telemarketers do NOT always call with the same number. Often they call with throw-away phones. Sometimes the number on caller ID only says "Florida" or "Utah" or some other state. I had one company call me and EVERY TIME they used a different number-same recording-different number. Also, I think one has to be home and possibly on line to reject the call. This does not stop calls from telemarketers who leave messages on answering machines or calls one does not answer.

- MeIt's not a calling list. When I worked for survey company for 4 hours once it was a random computer generated phone number calling system. I would hit a button and it would call someone randomly but recorded the call generated in a list so it doesn't even matter if your on a do not call list. They just make new lists on the fly . They then sell those lists to other companies.

- ListLess520-290-3741 listed on caller ID as "Private Number". Lady started pitch for "radio listening survey", I told her to take me off of her list, she replied "Thank you for your time". Yeah, my WASTED time. Thing is, her call was preceeded by about 15 seconds by another call that my phone automatically blocked from 800-786-9330 listed only as "Toll Free Number". Evidently, since she couldn't get thru using that number, she called back from the 290-3741 number. What a lame game. ...and yes, I'm on the "Donut" Call List.

- MeSometimes They Even wanted us to pick specific area codes to target at that telemarketing company and the random numbers hit different areas at different times. It was $6.00 an hour job when $5.75 was the wage at the time. They paid for traning but if you didn't make your numbers you would get canned. I said screw this after 4 hours. I just wanted to smoke cigs anytime I wanted like when I delievey drive.
- C bannisterContinues to call daily. Would like to removemy number from their list?...Internet says they r a survey taker however research identifies retail collection associates

- homeuser replies to Ellery Queen| 1 replyYou can add a number to century link/Qwest's call rejection after the fact (using *78 to access your phone features and following the prompts). It is an option part of the phone package or on its own, most companies have multiple phone numbers - including the ones that aren't telemarketers.
The biggest problem I've found is when they call as 'unknown', MOST of those and toll-free #'s are blocked with this service. Check with your phone company to see what options you have available. - HarryJust received one of many of this types of calls from unwanted numbers.

- OldgringoThese are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone. All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.
All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew. After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.
The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated. If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?
