...however, the caller must add your number to their internal do not call list if you tell them to!

I answered.  Said they were a radio survey in Arizona.  Told them I didn't live there and didn't care about their problems. I HUNG UP!  The do not call list is run by the government which is useless anyway.  They don't care about you once they get re-elected.  The real problem is YOU!  YOU KEEP RE-ELECTING THE SAME [***]!
INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND EXPECTING A DIFFERENT RESULT!  WISE UP!!!!

The call comes nightly and has become very irritating. After the third ring, they hang up.

The ID said "Out of Area" but  a search of the number, using "reverse phone call lookup," said it was FMR of Tucson, AZ.
This "firm" seems to be part of the masonic nationwide network of advanced cointelpro "gangstalking."

The remove request appears to work.

    remove@FMRassociates.com

I e-mailed them last week and this morning I got the following e-mail:

This is to confirm receipt of your request to remove your telephone number from our database.
FMR Associates is a market research only company. As a result, we are not subject to the national "Do Not Call" lists. Our studies are generally about media usage and habits, usually seeking specific types of people; that sometimes includes invitations to participate in research studies for which we pay respondents.
The telephone number has been permanently removed from our database at your request.
We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused.
    Sincerely,
    FMR Associates, Inc

Appears they are responsive to removal requests much to their credit

Received a call from 520-290-3741, CallerID showing only "FMR". I blocked this call while still ringing using my call blocker device. I'll edit the entry to include all future calls originating from the '520' area code (Tucson AZ and lower portion of the state).

EDIT: Yes, I've read earlier comments in this reporting thread to use FMR's website contact page to remove our phone numbers from their database, but I receive so many unsolicited calls that I prefer not verifying that I have a working phone number or email address with any company or agency if I don't do business with them or need their services. Just as FMR's website explains that they are exempt from the National Do Not Call Registry, there is nothing preventing them from selling their database of known good phone numbers to robocallers. The first report of FMR calls was reported on 800notes at the beginning of this thread in 2010! They've been at it for a long time and must have made thousands of unsolicited calls. I just block them all with a call blocker.

Actually that's not true. According to the FCC, the only people that are exempt from the Do Not Call list are charities and the politiacal parties. A lot of the survey companies want to claim that they're exempt from it, but if you read the statute, it doesn't include survey companies in that area. Since survey company's by nature are trying to sell you something, even though it might not be inherent at this point, they're there to make money or they wouldn't be doing it. Keep in mind that once you try to get them to take you off the list, it takes 30 days for that to take effect, but each occurrence is a $25k fine for it being done. Most companies are willing to pay that as the vast majority of people won't take the time to fike a claim with the FCC.

The company that called you.
