Received this call on Sunday @ 1:30pm. Left call back # and Case ID.  I have been participating in an in-person demographics survey since the Census.  I will check with the field rep before returning any calls.  Normally I have been getting notification letters to expect this contact..  Suspicious.

Do you really think a government agency would be calling on a Sunday?

Got a call today saying they were following up on the completed survey I received in the mail. She wanted to do another survey over the phone! I said I thought the maimed in survey was very thorough and felt they had more than enough info from me and in fact I felt the survey was very intrusive, but I was intimidated by the MANDATORY declaration. She blabbed on that they wanted to review which questions they should keep, delete or Change. I said I didnt want to answer any more questions. She said she’d note that. We shall see if I keep getting calls.

The voicemail said they were the US Census bureau so I answered the second call. Called twice within a minute. She thanked me for submitting the survey but had additional questions. Started asking about the members in my household and since I don’t give my kids information over the phone I told her I wasn’t comfortable with it. Wouldn’t answer why I was giving this information again. Gave answer like they were supposed to clarifying my answers to the questions. Fishy.

This was a legitimate call from the US Census Bureau.

Now that sounds like a complete lie since the census isn't for a few more years now.

If picked up, an automated message states "Please state your name", which I do not and hang up.

Received call 4/17/24.  Could not answer phone. Female voice  said "Hello I'm calling from the United States Census Bureau, please return call at i-888-419-7586 for the case ID number ***** thank you."  I had previously filled out info on a computer. (Number on phone 520-798-4152)
