I suggest everyone be very aware of this operation. The reason why my number was called, I believe due to a  family member using my address for their IRS issues. So we receive quite  a few calls.

I received a msg on my answering machine, and returned the call.

"Michael Johnson" whoever, after I said to him, "you are a scammer and authorities will be notified" said:

"I don't care, you bit**, do you like to have sex like this and this", and proceeded to speak in such vulgarity, that I laughed at him, and said "You can sit behind whichever desk you are and make all the threats you want, but you sure don't scare me."

He proceeded to curse at me, and I hung up.

Scam or no scam?  This was from Michael Johnson, IRS.  This needs to be shut down!

Fraud!  The IRS just does NOT handle debt collection this way.  When I the called, they  asked for the phone number of the client, it is clearly a scam. If I am calling for a client , the IRS will ask for a power of attorney first, before I can even have a conversation with them (IRS0.  Chat with them if you want just to mess with them. Dish out a little discomfort!!!

I GOT THIS CALL TWICE TODAY FROM THE SAME NUMBER 530-238-5813 & I KNEW FROM THE VERY START  THAT HE IS A FRAUD BECAUSE THE CALLER HAD A HEAVY INDIAN ACCENT  AND HIS NAME IS JUSTIN WILLIAMS!?? COME ON!! THERE ARE NO INDIANS WITH WILLIAMS AS THEIR LAST NAME OR JOHNSON OR JACKSON! THESE SCAMMERS ARE STUPID! & ARE ALL THE EMPLOYEES @ IRS INDIANS??? I ALSO ASKED HIM FOR HIS ID# AND HE SAID "WHY WOULD I GIVE IT TO U? AND I REPLIED...WELL IT IS MY RIGHT TO KNOW BECAUSE U ARE A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE, RIGHT? THEN THE STUPID SCUM HANGUP THE PHONE!!

I received two calls/voicemails from this number.  The person who left the messages went by the name of Dina Bruce.  The lady had a heavy accent.  If I really had a "deficiency with my income taxes", the IRS would not make phone calls, they would send letters.

I got the same call from Gary Peterson,  I asked for the ssn ofthe tax owed he hung up

My caller was named "John Williams"  same as the above....

This guy called and left a message with his name as John Marshall.  I thought the IRS was closed along with many other federal agencies!  Lol. Perhaps scam artists need to close down, too!

i RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER TODAY FROM A LADY WITH A VERY HEAVY ACCENT AND SEH ADVISED ME TO CALL 5302385813 AND ASK FOR A CALVIN DICKSON WHEN I CALLED A MAN WITH A HEAVY ACCENT ANSWERED AND HE ADVISED ME HIS NAME WAS MARK JOHNSON AND HE WAS HANDLING MY CASE FOR NOW HE TOLD ME THAT I OWE THE IRS 15,545$ FROM BACK PAY THRU 2006-2012 AND IF I DONT PAY THEY ARE GOING TO PERSUE ACTIONS AGAINST ME LEGALLY AND I HAVE TO EITHER GET AN ATTORNY AND IF I GO TO COURT AND LOSE THE CASE I HAVE TO PAY 35,200$ AND DO UP TO 2YRS IN JAIL I WILL LOSE ALL OF MY ASSETS MY JOB CAR D.L AND BANK ACCOUNT.  I WAS STILL KIND OF CONFUSED AT WORK UPSET TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT. I TOLD HIM TO PUT SOMEONE ELSE ON THE PHONE THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND BECAUSE HIS ACCENT WAS HEAVY HE GOT MAD AND H/U THE PHONE BUT CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THEY CHECKED MY CRIMINAL RECORD AND THEY ARE TRYING TO WORK WITH ME BECAUSE THEY SEE I DONT HAVE A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND AT ALL. SO THEN HE TOLD ME TO COME UP WITH $2000 I NEED TO SEND IT CASH THRU A WALMART WU BY THAT TIME I KIND OF COUGHT ON TO THIS BEING A POSSIBLE FRAUD AND PRETENDED I WAS GOIN TO SEND THE MONEY BUT NEEDED THE INFORMATION TO SEND. HE REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME UNTIL I WAS AT WALMART AND HE STARTED BEING TO HOSTILE SO I BUSTED HIM OUT AND LET HIM KNOW THAT THIS WAS A FRAUD AND I WAS GOING TO REPORT HIM AND THIS NUMBER...HE THEN CALLED ME OUT MY NAME ALL KIND OF SLURRED LANGUAGE I COULD NOT BARELY UNDERSTAND.  HE TOLD ME THAT I WILL REGRET FOR STATING I KNEW THEY WAS A FRAUD I WAS GOING TO PAY AND HE WAS GOING TO MAKE MY LIFE PURE HELL AND HUNG UP THEN CALLED BACK AND ASK IF I HAD KIDS AND IF I DID THEY WAS GOING TO BE TAKEN AWAY AND DISAPPEAR AND I WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN AND H/U THEN I GET ANOTHER CALL FROM AN UNAVAILBLE NUMBER AND A LADY WAS ON THE OTHER LINE AND SAID SHE WAS FROM THE DMV AND THEY WERE SUSPENDING MY DL I TOLD HER I KNEW THEY WAS A FRAUD AND SCAM AND SHE H/U...I REPORTED THIS TO THE FBI ON LINE AND HOPE THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS...THIS IS SAD NO TELLING WHO OR HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY HAVE ACTUALLY SCAMMED OUT OF THEIR MONEY.

#530-238-5813 - "Mark Johnson"  IRS - asked to call him back - Due to the government shutdown the IRS is not returning or making any phone calls at this time - this is a scam do not give any information and please report them.

Received same call.  This time I probed for more information with my Indian accent and apparently it is an operation being used to fund al-Queda in India while at the same time to disgrace the US government.  Needless to say I hung up but he kept calling back.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!  I received 4 calls yesterday and 1 this morning from the "IRS."  I called them back and was asked if I hired an attorney as my tax records for 2006-2012 were audited and a deficiency was found that needed to be taken care of.  They told me that I would be arrested, my assets would be taken away, my bank accounts would be frozen and my Drivers License suspended.  I argued with them and they said they would not deal with me and hung up.  1 minute later I received a call from the "DMV" stating my license was suspended.  Then, the "IRS" called me back with a case # to provide to my attorney when I went to jail.  I called them back and told them I called the FBI and they hung up.  I called them a little while later to again tell someone else that I called the FBI.  I was put on hold and Steven Johnson answered, and instead of saying he was from the IRS he answered it FBI.  I said I thought I called the IRS.  He was quiet, then said F*#& You and hung up.  I live in Las Vegas and it will be reported on the news.  Tell your local news as well.

Just got the call saying I need to call MIcheal Johnson in CA right away because the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. He didn't know why that he was only a paralegal and didn't have the information....I asked why a letter had not been sent and he said with the government being shut down there were only a few working...ya right and when would the IRS care about little ole me?  SCAM  Caller id said: Lakehead, CA 530-238-5813, same number I was to call.

LOL got the same thing just now, what a F joke! IRS my A&&!

THIS S.O.B. scared the hell out of us. Now we just keep calling back and harassing him. Pure Evil.

Received same message as noted above.  Accent sounded more asian so they may be changing up with who is calling based on previous messages.  Stated that they are with the IRS.

I just got a call from 530-238-5813 from someone who had a heavy Indian accent. They said I needed to call ASAP regarding my IRS account. I called it back and got nothing but a tone.

I received a call from this number from a person with a heavy accent informing me that the IRS was suing me and that I was to call this number back and speak to his supervisor.  He also stated to me that they were the headquarters for the IRS Bureau of Investigations.  I entered the number into my search engine and found this site and several others indicating that this number is known for scams.

Received one just a few minutes ago - very rude.  Told me that I needed to call back and ask for Supervisor Kevin Peterson.  Since then, 7 additional calls, and the last one was the final straw as I told the person that I was on to him and that I would report them to the FBI. He promptly hung up, then a minute later received one with the ID "Conference Call."  Same thing.  It's a scam.
