Unfortunately, this is a regulatory requirement by the government for many medical facilities. I know, because not only am I a retired healthcare professional who had to deal with this and umpteen other regulations on a daily basis---but I also have been asked to complete Press Ganey surveys following my last two hospitalizations. More information about these surveys can be obtained on their website:

They called a few days ago but I could not talk to them at that time. They said its a survey on my recent hospital stay. I did just get out of the hospital.  they said they will call back.  as long as you dont give out important info to callers your not sure of, there should be no harm.

Received call/hangup on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 3:05pm PST. No message left on answering machine. For a "legit" company, they sure act exactly like a SPAM caller. No ID. No voice message. Just call and call and call.

I got a call from this number this morning at 10:56.  I did not answer and no voice mail was left.  My caller ID read the ten digit number followed by the word User as the caller's name.

I had surgery, and got a call from this number about 10 days later. Caller ID said "South Bend, IN". No message left.
This is probably a semi legit call. I say "semi" because it seems they have been contracted to make these survey calls. However, it seems they are fulfilling their contractual requirement by "making" the calls, but do not seem very interested in performing the survey.
Do just enough to get paid... Great business model, huh?

That's weird because I have gotten a call after EVERY ER trip or hospital stay anyone in my family has had. So much you know. If you don't want to participate then don't but don't lie about it to people who might want to.

I received a letter from my hospital telling me this company would be calling with a survey.  Many healthcare providers (not just hospitals) hire them.

This person said they were a 'health professional'.  I asked what their specialization was and she said Health.  When I told her that wasn't a  very professional answer I tried to dig for more.  Seems she was phishing for information answering every question I gave her with a question.   When I asked which of my doctor's she was affiliated with she said 'regular doctor'.   This is when I knew she was up to no good.  I have a neurologist for seizure disorder, an oncologist for ongoing cancer treatments, and a PCP that coordinates them all.  Answer all of their questions with questions.  This confuses them and they don't call back every day.  In a month another 'heath professional' will call back.  Then refer them back to the previous call.  I know when they are calling now because I saved the number as 'Health Professional'.  Today was the first I heard from them in 6 months.  *Hey, I got time on my hands*  If it was a true 'health survey' they would have the dates of your hospitalization, the name of the hospital you were in, the name your admitting doctor, and an idea as to why you were in the hospital.    A survey is a great way to harvest information.  It can also be a trap.  Make them answer a few of your questions before you start giving them information.

Same, medical survey. I was at the ER. They did not ask personal. Wanted info. on service received. Was I satisfied with how I was treated. So the guy, if he had the same, is not a liar.

I am on the DO NOT CALL list and they have been calling me for 2 months never leaving a message.
Honestly, if they want something they should leave a message as I do get tired of scammers piggybacking on IP and other phone services to do their scams, so their not leaving a message is not helpful.
My biggest complaint is with Kaiser Hospital, so if Kaiser Hospital is reading this if I did answer a survey it would be all bad.  I am very thankful that I no longer have Kaiser and they didn't kill me while I was under their care.
Unforgettably, I no longer have Kaiser because they refused to dig into my medical treatment and give me proper medical care until I became disabled.  As a former patient of Kaiser I pray for everyone who does have this health plan to convenience your employer that you are worth more to them alive then you are disabled or dead because of Kaisers services.  Good luck to you all with your medical needs

Our local health consortium, Spectrum Health, does surveys directly via US Mail and e-mail after treatment by a Spectrum Health associated doctor. I have also gotten surveys from Blue Care Network about recent medical treatment.

Its a survey to see if you liked the serviced you had from a recent doctors visit (regarding the service of employees) and or hospital visit. My son has been seeing a pediatric neurologist and has had a few hospital stays, plenty of doctor visits and test done, and well in one instance I was not happy with the person conducting the test (they were not kid friendly) and the survey helped me express myself as I don't like confrontation.

If you received the call in error, please don't accuse others of lying as it could have simply been a mistake that you received that call. We are all here to inform others of "who is calling", no need to be ugly, since I assume we are all adults and don't need nor have time to be ugly to each other.
