This is a 2 bit collection agency that will blanket automated calls using numbers found in the phone book with anyone with the same last name as the person that they are looking for. On the call you get the option to press #4 if you are not the person.  This will not work and is a waste of time.  

You need to call them at 604-530-0211 (calling the # they called you on will not go anywhere) and hope you get to talk to the nasty [***] on other end of the phone to get your phone number removed.  FYI, you may want to try to be nice as she will hang up for any reason on you. Most of the time you do not get to talk to anyone and are left in automated hell.

You can also fax them at: 604-530-4977 to request the removal.  

I have requested to be removed but was still getting hassled by them.  Complained again and hoping that will be end of it.  Doubt it though.

There should be a law against these type of system in that they should work correctly when you 'press 4'.  The nasty [***] even said that does not work when I complained. When I said that is 'bullsh!t' she used that as an excuse to hang up.

They stopped calling me. I felt so relieved think i have to "owe" some money to some harrassing bunch of people. Just when i thought it was over they started calling for over $100. IF YOU ARE READING THIS WIGGINS,STOP IT OR I SWEAR I KILL CATCH YOU RED HANDED.

...another weak ploy by a vigilant Wiggins employee.  Nice try, "Benny".  Call screen does work, trust me...

After weeks of 'dead air' calls and recorded messages which I hung up on I got a call last night from a 'micheal' who proceeded to tell me i owe over $8000 on a credit card I'd not heard of. I told him he had the wrong person and he said quote: No, I got your info from your credit report. I hung up and straight away got my report on line to see what was going on -indeed Wiggins had made a Hard Inquiry on my credit report. My reprot was fine -good credit score lots of 'green boxes' showing payments made -and no outstanding debt for ANYTHING. I knew he had the wrong person cos no way would any company give me a credit card with $8000 limit as I'm reletively new to Canada. I'm a rational, informed person,but that call threw me - if he calls back again i will have some ammo -or do I just hang up and ignore them -what powers do they really have -can they come calling and take my TV?

They want collect money from my Visa credit card.

After dozen of phone calls I answered and talked to Marry (manager) trying to explain that they have a wrong person but she said that she will keep calling and told me to go to the police if I am not happy about it....What an idiot. Any sugestions on how to make they life difficult. I am wiiling to spend $ and sue them. Any suggestions?

First of all, why are all you people hiding from someone who has a wrong number? The number is obviously hooked up too an account could be someones old number not necisarrily for you. When you press the 4 you need to wait to have someone answer and manually remove it, and legally then they have no stop calls. Using call screening/ignoring/blocking the number never works, jsut deal with it the first time properly and stop complaining. Talk to someone, make sure its not your name and DOB and even sin if they have it, then tell them to remove your number, jeez. I can't beleive there are so many people otu there who get upset by wrong numbers and then dont deal with thier issues but rather avoid the situation

they obviously have your SIN and name and DOB, meaning someone used them to open this credit card. the reason there is nothing on your credit about it as it probably just came into collections and isn't listed for usually 30 days, when he calls back ask him how long he has had hte account in his office and when will it be on your credit.

if it were just that easy......firstly try telling a jumped up little jerk who hears it all the time that it is a wrong number -secondly try proving to them on the phone who you are....without compromising your own privicy - after all HE could be a conman after your sin and dob for fraudelent purposes-thirdly just TRY calling their head office and speaking to a live person -and why should you fork out on long distance calls -its not your fault they can't do thier jobs properly...just hope it never happens to you mate -maybe then you'll realise the frustration theses jerks cause.

this 'Micheal' said the debt was over a year old.....so if it had been my debt, or a fraudelent credit card, it would have showed up on my credit report. My report shows that Wiggins checked my report beginning of April 09 and i did'nt get a call from them until May 09 -they knew before they called me that this debt was not on my credit report.
