The phone rang and it was a pre-recorded message about lowering credit card interest rates that I had hung up on so many times before that I was going to press 1, not to lower my credit card interest but to tell them to take me off their call list.  I pressed 1 and a live voice says "Do you want to get blown up today?" and I said "what?" and they repeated "Do you want to get blown up today.  Pakistan is going to blow all of America up in 20 seconds.  We are comming after you." and then hung up.  Pissed me off and I went to my hand held phone to get call log number to see who or what company was attached to the number.  It was not there, which is very strange.  I called my phone provider and they told me how to go on line and look it up and it was there.  I googled the number and got all sorts of hits and blogs about prank calls and scams so I am reporting it.

Why can't the police go there and arrest these people?????

Don't get fooled. This is the old Rachel (she left a phone message) and how she can lower your interest rates on your credit cards. What a joke. These [***] have use so many phone numbers it's hard to keep up!! Just don't answer,

My message was someone wanting to purchase cosmetics that i sell.. It was " Hi D this is Lynn and i'm working on a very big project (for some firm) and want to order some products from you".. My sister consultants are getting scam emails and texts as well.. it's a shame that some of them have almost fallen for it.. they are asked to send out a lot of products and wait for money.. one test was "i am deaf and i don't like the way the consultants in my area are treating me" ;puleeeze.... just be careful out there

They claimed this was my last and final notice to take care of credit card issues, and I don't have any.  If only it were their last call.  They don't provide an option to opt out either.  What a bunch of losers.

Robo credit fix call. Out of service when I cled back.

This one is a hoot!  Nearly $1000 to stay at a Motel 6?  I stayed there a few days ago for $40.  Either the webmaster really goofed on this ad, or someone is pulling your leg.

By the way, room is very, very, small;  no carpeting; no ameneties other than a box of tissues.  It was clean and comfortable anyway.

Just got a call on my cell and let it go to VM. Same as the above, robo call stating that this is my "final warning before credit regulations change......" blah blah blah.

call on my cell today, message left Final Notice for Stimulus package.

This number calls me everyday and I tried to ask to have my number removed and they just hang up..What can I do to stop this. Phone company told me to change my number.. Sure $70.

Changing your number will do no good. The "card services' scammers use a robodialer, which calls numbers at random.Google my name to learn how to eliminate their annoying calls.

Google 'Lucre Inc." This is a telemarketing boiler room operation in Grand Rapids, MI with multiple numbers and multiple scams. They are located at: 4011 Plainfield Ave NE  Grand Rapids, MI 49525
(616) 361-0128. They have an F rating with the BBB for their activities and history of multiple lawsuits and complaints with that state's Attorney General. Steve/R. Steven Hale is listed as owner & president. I've personally filed an AG complaint against him by name. The more of us do it, the more likely MI AG will be able to throw him in jail.

Hard to believe, but these crooks have a way to make money even if no one ever answers the phone!
They set up a bogus phone company, and when they make a call, your phone carrier pays their phone company a fraction of a cent to access the Calling Line ID database to get the "name" of the caller, in this case "Card Services" or whatever. (The phone number itself is provided in the call setup process.) The telemarketer's phone company then shares some of this revenue with the telemarketer. So they make millions of calls per month and take in thousands of dollars just from the database access fee. If you are foolish enough to answer the phone and give them your credit card number, that's just gravy.
