- Hello friend post replies to FriendI Don't hate to say it but this number (636-410-9139) is not a true Capital One collector of debts I called Capital One and they have no idea who this so called debt collection company is....This number and company is B.S..
- Elle| 1 replyUnfortunately, Friend is correct. This number is from Client Services Inc. They are a third party bill collector that purchases old "zombie debts". Zombie debts are old debts that have passed the Statute of Limitations on when they can legally collect. They try to get all an individual’s information they can to try and revive these debts as current debts so you owe them. They've even attempted to represent themselves as a "law firm" threatening to "serve” people to scare them into paying even though they’ve reached beyond the Statue of Limitations and that individual is no longer under any legal obligation to owe. They have no leg to stand on. AVOID these people and do NOT give them ANY personal information!
- Caller: Client Services Inc.
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to ElleBefore you go giving lousy advice to people, it is always best to take the time to learn what you are posting about. The Statute of Limitations simply states how long they have to sue you. Debt can legally be collected for eternity. They cannot "revive" debts simply by getting information. An actual payment has to be made or you must contractually agree to pay them back.
Maybe you should read my post on page 2 and use that information and the links to actually learn something? - Secret Agent 001''Real'' debt collectors never-never contact by phone

- RH| 1 replyEbony Johnson called my home phone number looking for my son, who moved out almost 10 years ago. They asked for his number and I told them I would have him call them back. Ebony stated it was a business matter and due to company policy, they could not give me a number to call them back. So, while on the phone I googled them. She again asked for his phone number and I asked her who she was with. She told me Client Services, Inc and it was about a business matter and she really needed to talk to my son. I explained to her that my son works for me and sits a few doors down and that I would gladly pass on her information if she could provide it. She again stated she could not divulge any information, not even a call back number, as it was company policy. I then told her that I was sitting in front of my computer and after a quick google search found several sites that implied it was a fraudulent call. She asked me which website I was looking at so I told her that I too was not able to divulge any information as it was MY company policy. She asked me several times to tell her what website I was looking at and I repeatedly told her that just like her, I could not provide any further information. I spoke to my son after and he indicated he is not aware of any debt he has so we concluded this is definitely a SCAM.

- Jennifer| 1 replyCall me daily at work! I have no idea what they are saying I owe and they are violating the Fair Collection Act by threatening me with Legal action and by calling me at work. When I ask to receive a mailed list of the explanation of the debt (my right under the Collection Act) they bully more and never send me anything.
- Caller: "Client SVCS"?
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to JenniferI am not sure what you mean by "a mailed list of the explanation of the debt". Do you mean debt validation? That must be requested in writing as per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The initial dunning letter is sent automatically after first contact but is not debt validation. Now, had you read my post on page 2 you would have known all of that and more.
