got a call from 646-520-0697. automated voice saying i applied for a job and they were employment select.  i have not applied for any jobs, period. no idea how they got my cell phone!  i waited and waited b/c i wanted to speak with someone, but no one ever came on the phone. just the recording over and over.

Call came in around 9:30 am this morning. Talked to the dude but he could not give me any details.  When asked if I wanted to further my education I told him no thanks.

I got the same scam. I asked them to remove my name several times and they keep calling. I started to fill out an application but backed out of the system when I realized it was a scam...however they had already gotten my information. They are snotty and rude and say "well your the one who applied for a job!".  

Jerks!  I hate it when companies take advantage of tough economic times and try to trick us!

When those sites ask if you want to this or that, you can select IGNORE or NO, THANKS. I don't remember I fell for this or not, but later I scrolled down the window and found out another option "NO THANKS" to click on.

Posting your resume on Craigslist is not safe at all, so be carefull when you get a call.  After knowing telemarketing is "attacking" cell fone, I register at www.donotcall.gov; but the telemarketing won't leave a message if you didn't pick up their calls.  It's because they'll be reported by the caller that they're against the law if they leave a message.  Anyway, I still not answering calls that are not in my contact list and those "withheld"...let them leave message to my voice mail.

recording saying that it was about an application I filled out in the past week and that the company is staying confidential until they verify my information. If I have applied, they have my information and there is nothing to verify. Sounds like a scam.

further to my post - a google of voxbone yields this website. http://www.voxbone.com/ does anyone know what kind of a company that is? They supply go through numbers so it basically shields the true caller's number?

I just received a call from this number myself on my cell phone.  I was away from the phone and did not pick it up to answer.  They did not leave a message.  I too was on craigslist a week or so ago.  I'm also getting a bunch of spam emails since then!!

Whoever this is keeps calling my cell phone.  I do not know them, but have heard this is a scam for people looking for employment.

I had applied for a job recently posted on Craigslist.  It brought me to some weird screen asking about continuing ed, but since I need a new job, I filled it out.  Got a call from here, no message.  Also got a call from a similar number, same deal-no message.  My guess is same co., same scam (only 1 digit different).

Just recieve they same call as you all reported. I didn't recognize the number so I sent it to voice mail. It too was looking for a return call for job screening and internet access. I thought I would check out the number on the net first, thinking I was scoping out a potential employer. I'm glad I found this site first. I have not responded to the call.

Received a call from this number... I had applied for a job from EMPLOYMENT SELECT, they called to "verify information"... I did not give them any permission to send me information or anything of the sort, so we'll see if they sell my info to others

I receved one from this same number aabout 4 days agao about a job that I had applyed for but mine was supposed to have been in NY

they called and wanted me to return their call between 0800am and 5pm to verify my information about a job that I have never applyed for in NY

Someone from this number called my cell and hung up. My service with Verizon and live in South FL as I long suspected Verizon sells their data base to various tele-marketers.

Got a call from this number this morning, didn't answer, left no message.  I applied for a few jobs a couple days ago, so it has to be related to that.  I applied through indeed.com, but I don't hold that sited responsible, it's an awesome way to look for work.

I just recieved a call from this number and I just told them that I am very aware that they are a SCAM. They could not tell me what job I applied for and hung up on them.

I never applied for a job with this supposed company. How did they get my contact information. There was no voice message, therefore I did not attempt to return the call.
