I just noticed the VOXBONE/ NYC2 PHONE#(646) 520-0697 incoming @ 4:38 pm,
on Monday, May 18, 2009.
They left no message, but I just googled the name, since I don't have
long distance.  
I was almost scammed in the past, so, just the word scam, alerted me.
and I recieve messages in the past, from people saying something about that they were calling regards confidential company, for a job I applied
for online.
guess I'm active?

Called me at 9:16 am and called back a British voiced male said hold,could take up to 45 min, what a friggin joke the economy this bad and someone has to do this ERR!! Oh and it's career network, talking to a guy now...

Yeah I just got a call from the same number about 10 minutes ago.  I didn't answer cause my phone was on silent, and they never left a message.  So I looked up the area code on yahoo...and found out it was a new york number.  And I live in Michigan...weird.  Damn scammers :(

I received a call from this number this AM.  As I did not recognize the number or even the area code, I did not answer.  There was no VM. Annoying!

yah its just a scam. i also got a call frm that number

I received the call but didn't answer, when I called back under a blocked number the recording states they received my information from Careernetwork.com. Which I do have a resume posted on.
I recently did get an email from a company stating they reviewed my resume and I am a potential canidate but the company will need to do a credit back ground check before the interview and they gave me a link to a credit bureau agency, that charges a processing fee of $1. I wrote the lady back saying I don't mind the credit check but a valid company would do this on their own and not send me to a link that charges and they would've used my name in the email which she did not, I do feel this is the same company.

Very true-- BBB is worthless in this matter. Contact the FCC and file an online complaint. Add your number to the do not call list if it's not already there

They've contacted me with 2 phone numbers now, this one and 202-403-0828.
I guess if you don't answer the one they will just call on another line.

I think it is a part of being on Career Networks which I think is a scam because I've only received spam from their website.  Has anyone ever received any job offers, or anything from Career Networks site, just hang ups and junk emails.  I'm removing my resume from their site right now.

ask to confirm info on hot jobs application i filed with an employer looking for warehouse workers. when i asked who the employer it was that i filed out the application for, she said "i dont have that ifo. we do seververal verificatiobs at one time and someonelse forward the info on.
then i asked, if yopu dont know who is asking for the info , how can you send it back ? one of the questions asked is if i was intrest in going back to school. i said no im 51 years old and getting a job was more important right now. then she said thank yoy and hung up.  thank God for sites like this on googlee were people can be the best watch dogs for pieces of [***] like thie company we need jobs not scams. now i liiok at caller id and gfoogle the number tio see if it is a scam and it usually is.  ALSO IF YOU GET A CALL FROM 800 SERVICES AFTER USING HOTJOBS ON GOOGLE ITS A SCAM WANTING YOU TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE YOUR RESUME VISIBLE YO EMPLOYERS ONLY. THIS WILL HELP REDUCE THE SCUM OUT THERE TRING TO SCREW YOU.

I got a call from 646-520-0697 - They did not leave a message on my cell. I called the number back & a recording said to hold for a Verfication Specialist. B**L***T!!! I would never give my info out to anyone for a job or otherwise unless they have my written consent. Glad I googled too!
