- JennyGot a call from this number at 11:30am, wasn't able to make it to the phone so I don't know exactly who it is. Didn't get a voicemail from this number, all it sent was a text to my phone that says PLEASE CALL. If it's anyone I know, they'd leave a voicemail so I don't know who this could be.

- Leo replies to CarolI just got a call from that number too. The worst part is that they wanted me to add an extra person in my account (ex. wife or anyone else) and wanted their social security number in order for me to receive a rebate! I didnt have the SSN so they went ahead and told me they would call me back in 15min, giving me time to go ahead and get the person's SSN that i was adding to my account. Ofcoarse, I called Directv and they never heard of such a thing. The sad part is that they have my credit card number now but will be on the look out to see if theres any transactions that dont belong to me. Well, they did call back. I didn't answer. Then they called back right away and still didn't answer. Hmm, I don't even think collectors call back twice if you didn't pick up the first time. This is weird!

- EricThere are two things you need to know:
1) As many people have mentioned, the 661-380-3000 number reserved for use by Skype can originate from anywhere in the world, including the US. Which means that the call can be coming from next door or from Afghanistan, Brooklyn or China. It does NOT mean it's a US soldier, nor someone overseas. These are likely just scammers random-dialing in the hopes of scamming you - or it sounds like people are using Skype for pranking as well. (did you ever phone-prank as a kid? i know i did - feels different when you're an adult, doesn't it?)
2) Caller ID's can be spoofed which means that people can be using YOUR number to prank others over Skype - so when you get an angry call from someone saying "stop calling me", that means YOUR number has been used by these people as a spoofed caller ID.
Finally, it sounds like everyone just needs to relax. We're all calling each other names, jumping to conclusions - we're annoyed at the calls but we're taking it out on other posters. Hate the callers, but don't hate the people here who are unfamiliar with how Skype works. Happy holidays!- Call type: Prank
- BillI just got a call in my cell phone from 661-380-3000 and later I saw the display Paldale Area. What was confusing was that one of the voices sounded as my voice and they were speaking in Castillian Spanish, my first language. So I listened for a good couple of minutes. I read it is a Skype number and I use Skype from time to time to call abroad. Does anyone know if my phone is being charged or are they accessing data on my cell phone?
- Caller: Unknown but it appeared as a personal call
- JimmyI just realised that I blocked myself out with the same ph #. If your skype ID is not visible than this ph # show up at the other end. 661-380-3000.
