I keep getting calls from this number (un-wanted or un-soliciated).  I am a diabetic but am NOT looking
for harassing calls about any medical coverage or whatever.  I want these calls to STOP.   Have asked
several times to stop calling to no avail.

I know a lot of people say this is Skype, but I have never in my life used Skype, so I have a feeling people are using it for other purposes.  No one left a message.

So, let me get this straight - you never spoke to anyone and they left no message but you know they are telemarketers??  So, maybe it wasn't just a wrong number?  Please stop getting so damn excited over one phone call!  That is not what this site/forum is about.

Seriously?  Get over yourself!  Wrong #s happen - this site/forum is not for people to report a single occurrance of a phone call that a paranoid person deems "sketchy" or "annoying".

Gor a call from this number this morning, which I didn't pick up, and there was a voicemail later. It was an automated recording "Emergency notification for July 12. Your computer is not protected. Go to www.sgsso.com to activate protection" etc. SCAM.

It's clear from previous message that anyone using "SkypeOut" who hasn't set up a called ID will show this number, so it can be any number of organizations using a Skype calling bot. It's not just one organization

Telemarketer

Automated call from San Diego Super Shuttle confirming my appointment.  From the other posts, it appears that this is a generic skype number and can be anyone calling.

I've been getting the same thing the past two days. Has it stopped for you?

Just started get call from (661) 380-3000 and different variations of this # and unknown numbers as well. [***] is annoying. The actually know my my name name and last initial and my occupation. I see most of these posts are from 2011. Anyone new getting calls?

They call me at 2am, does anyone know who they are?

Got several calls in a row, each time I answered they didn't say anything so the 4th time I swore at them and okay, said a few other choice words. Then the calls stopped BUT whoever it was went to my BUSINESS website and filled out a Contact Us form from my site and filled it in with a bunch of curse-words. I know it's the person who called because they used some the same words I did. The "Contact Us" form was filled out like this (sorry in advance if the below report is offensive but the form here asks us to be truthful so I'm just telling it like it happened)

Now that's hilarious that someone actually took the time to go to my website and fill out this form. Obviously it must have been some telemarketing company that is marketing to businesses. Well, I guess the poor telemarketer didn't take kindly to getting cussed out. I am willing to bet that this idiot person is going to hold onto my number and continue to call. Whaddya wanna bet?

Does the 6613803000 Skype number always originate from overseas?  I have reason to believe that I am receiving a call from a woman in Taiwan, although she says that she is in California.

I also have gotten these calls and not awake to answer. There must be something in common we all have that we are targeted for these calls. Skype customers seem to be one link. I have several blogs and online newspapers that discuss world politics and the powers thereof. I also have written on Scientology and Interpol ties to IRS. It could be a prankster but I doubt it. If anyone has any commonality with my interests, go to deltanewsandreview.com  and find Mystery phone (661) 380-3000 and leave comments.....I will have other investigative reporters check it out!

I just received a call from this number, but the call was from a friend of mine using Skype to try to contact me via my cell phone.  So, while this number may also be used for less than desirable purposes, it may also be a "standard" number used by Skype which would make sense based on the calls some folks have received from overseas.

received this scam call on my cell late at night

In my case, it's a Skype call. My son is in Japan. Remember, you can block some calls by dialing: 888-382-1222. This is the number for the "Do Not Call Registry."

(661) 748-0242, Palmdale Area, called me this afternoon on my lunch break. Had my full correct name (Spelling and all) then proceeded to ask me if I resided at 216...... Which is my old address that my room mate and I used to share. When I responded "maybe" he got frustrated and said "so do you or do you not live there?" my response was "my room mate does and her daddy is a judge" (not a whole lie, she's married to a TBI agent and her daddy is a parole officer) after her heard that he asked me for my social security number (i gave him a fake) because I was going to jail and I would be taken from my residence and put in jail for 120 days... That's funny because my drivers license has my mother address on it and all my mail still goes there. So how did they get my 216 address? Lol Anyways after I informed him that I've already been threatend once with court and that I will be looking his number up to file a report he said "I'm very sorry for the trouble thank you and have a blessed day" wtf?! Still I called my old room mate to let her know that if infact a las enforcement officer shows up with a summons to court then to send them to my job. My advice is to have fun with them and then let them know you know they're a scam and make sure you mention some sort of knowledge of the law and knowing people higher up. It always throws them off. This is my 4 phone call in 3 months from these people. Once I told them that my attorney would be contacting them and had a friend call from a blocked number with no response for 5 calls straight!!!

Got a call from this number 2:34 am.

I think it's a "Skype" number. I have a friend in Afghanistan he just called me and this number popped up. I could be wrong tho.
