I just got a call from this number at 10:30pm which I thought was odd. I aswered and some one who seemed to be doing an impersionation of a young girl said hi and when I answerd, "Who is this?" They just said bye now and hung up. Very odd and creepy... Did not seem to be someone with an accent though as in the other cases.

Got  a phone call from this number and our caller id says sKYPE USER. Didn;,t answer phone and they didn't leave a message. I believe they have a website but I don't think you should open anything on it as we  recently had a virus and I think it came from something that came from them.

I also got a call from this skype user 661-748-0240 ??I tried to call it back & it is skype..they never did say any thing??

I just received a call asking for my husband (who is at work), when I said he wasn't here and asked if I could help her she said no she'll call back and hung up.  Good luck!  #1 his schedule SUCKS so when he is home he is normally asleep and #2 he almost never answers the phone unless he sees someone he knows like me or his mom on the caller ID :-)  So, I guess she will have to speak with me again...maybe next time I will just ask who it is like I am passing him the phone and see what happens.

I received a call from a Roger at 661-748-0240. The caller stated that he was a Manager of the American Grant Dept., where I was selected to receive $7500. Roger stated that he had enough info. about me. I informed the manager that he needed to send me the money as promised if the that grant were true. The call was disconnected. When I returned the call, the phone recording stated that my call cannot be connected, the number I was trying to reach was a Skype line.

and they didn't leave a message - as it appears to be the first time this number had tried to call - but my question is is who was it? and how did they get my number? ...
It says its from a landline in Bakersfield California......I don't know anybody from there.

Harrassment, trolling, whatever you want to call it.  The person left me a voice message.  I didn't obviously pick it up, but I had to listen to the voice message and delete it.  Someone is bored and has nothing to do with their time at all.  What a waste!  Spread the truth, happiness, liberty, peace and prosperity like I'm doing!  Do not waste my time ever again!

I got a call from this number at 10:10 pm on a Saturday night. The man actually left a message, and it's eery but funny.

He said his name was "BILL PARSONS from the Jerry Springer Show." Then he said, "we have a young lady who is claiming you are the father of her child, and would like to call you onto the show to dispute the validity of this claim. If you could give me a call back at this number, that would be great. We'll get your 'baby mama drama,' as they're calling it on the street these days, resolved. And, uh you know, hopefully you're not the scumbag that she's claiming that you are! Have a great day sir. Hopefully, we'll hear from you soon."

was talking to a guy through email and he said his number would show up unlisted when he called me but gave me his # anyway so i could save it. so he called - sometimes it showed up unknown, other times it showed up with the # and name i saved in my phone, other time it came up as 000-012-3456. we had talked for over 4 hours, said he lived down the street from me. all of a sudden, the call was disconnected, he said he would call me back, but didn't. so i tried calling him back, when the skype message came over the phone, i emailed him about it.  he never called or emailed me back... not sure why he wasted 4 hours talking to me about everything if he was just fake.. which i think he was... he said he has had that number for years and didn't want to change it... well apparently he hasn't had the nubmer for years since it's a skype router!! i feel dumb..

This is one of the numbers that appears on your caller ID when you receive a call from someone using SKYPE.

I just got a call from this number. A woman with a British accent saying "This is (unintelligible), the assistant to Chris. I'll call you back another time. Bye."

I answered this number from the house phone and the number stated it was from Skype user. The person asked me if I wanted to renew a playboy magazines purchase that I never even purchased. I do not buy pornography.

I tried calling back on my landline but I do not have long distance services and it told me too dial the 10 digit number. I am going to try a ten digit number on another phone. It told me by my long distance that I could not connect to this number because it is a skype user.

This is a Skype phone number. My mom called me today using the number and left a message. If you are getting other random calls from this number, it is most likely someone using skype to prank call you.

I too I got a call this evening twice on my cell but didnt answer. They did not leave any voice-mail. Actually they used a number that ends with 0245 for the second call.
The best solution is not to answer any calls from a number that looks suspect unless they leave a message. If the caller wants you so bad he/she would leave a message.

our company is signed up for a convention in Vegas. Every year we get calls from different "hotel vendors." this number is one of those.
also tried to call me from 661-748-0244 but it was also from the same area so I didn't pick up.
