- jr| 1 replyThis number is a Skype number. I misplaced my cell phone and called myself using Skype. This is the number that shows up on caller id. I would assume that Skype cycles through a large block of phone numbers and this number could be anyone using Skype.
- domingomy voicemail has been disabled by me. Calls from this # are a fraud.
- Caller: unknown

- JessicaI got a call from this number last night...
They left a voicemail as a rap...
"Yo you dumb [***],
I'm gonna throw you in a ditch,
I broke your camera,
don't think your cool.... ho
...end this [***] bro...."
I did indeed lose my camera, so either they responded to a craigslist ad about it being lost MONTHS ago, and went through pages and pages of lost and found ads... or they have my camera which has my address and phone number in it...- Caller: Random Guy
- KevinThey said they were "Global Medical" - I do NOT want calls from them!!
- JackieThis number is from someone calling from skype.
- Caller: Skype
- Call type: Prank
- ME, ME,ME| 4 repliesThis is a number used when making Skype calls. Maybe these "prank callers saw ur profile on Skype & are messing with you. If you have a Skype acct, you might need to hide ur profile from those outside ur network. IIts Skype dont worry. Remember never to verify any information over the phone without knowing who you are speaking, not even ur full name.
- Caller: Skype Acct Users
- KCThis number is displayed when someone calls you using Skype. So it could be anybody - or not.
If you don't already know the caller, probably best to hang up immediately. - Letitia replies to LJ| 11 repliesAn India-based company named DNF Global Solutions.Obviously, this is a well-connected establishment who are "harassing" and scamming people. Read my story and I did file a report. I was locked out of my Hotmail account and I was in this continuous loop. I searched the Internet and came across this company who provided tech support for Hotmail. I contacted them and I was told by this “tech” named Nick Nelson that 227 emails were sent from my computer requesting people’s financial data. I entered a contract with them for 3 years that they would provide all of the tech support for my computer. I later found out that companies like DNF Global Solutions are ripping people off. The name of this company is DNF Global Solutions who are located in India. The “tech” installed this Super AntiSpyware virus, which made my computer slower and infected my computer with viruses; my files were being deleted, uploaded and files were hidden. After I did my research, I learned that was a rogue virus to annoy me and to infect my computer, which it did. The scary part is that they were able to unblock my Hotmail account. I changed all of my passwords. While, I was speaking to them, someone gained access to my online banking account. They became the Administrative of the computer and I have not been able to repair it. I was told to call 866-921-5154 for tech support. They were calling me various phone numbers from 661-748-0244, 661-748-0240, 661-748-0242, 661-380-3000, 661-748-0245, but when I called the numbers back, it did not go through. I thought that was odd. After they failed to answer my questions, I decided to terminate the relationship. I spoke to a manager named Sonya who was shooting the “energy” over the phone. There is no DNF Global Solutions with Mike Hughes as the President. 866-921-5154 is the Toll-free number to an all-inclusive exotic vacation; http://allinclusive-adult-vacations.com/desinaion.htm, as well as, to an India phone number. The phone numbers that the “technicians” were calling from apparently were fraudulent because many people were complaining about how they were unethical telemarketers. My computer has not crashed so the forensics can be obtained off it to get their IP Address so that their illegal activities can be stopped.
- tracy replies to businesswomanwhen i called back it said no reps available and the call was disconnected
- deanne| 2 repliesgot a call frm a diff number a half an hour ago...he had east indian accent, said he was from windows and my computer has "fix"a bad virus. wanted me to sit in front of my computer so that he could talk me through how to fix it...hung up on me
- SallyThis number is not the scam operator's number. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number, but the caller left a message. I checked the message and it was my husband calling from England on Skype. So it is a number that Skype uses to route calls from overseas. That would explain all the different scams associated with the number.
- Skype UserAs others have said, this is a general Skype number. I use Skype's VoIP phone service. They give you two choices for caller ID. The standard caller ID is your username which can be a problem when you call clients and your username is something like "HotLuvr666" or some nonsense, rather than your real name. The other option is to block your caller ID. When you do this, Skype will show your name as "Unavailable" or it will randomly use one of their standard numbers.
That's what this number is. - JaiGot a call from this number from a guy with indian accent stating he was from UPS and had a package for me but the driver but could not find my house. I told him that I never ordered a package so how would he have a dellivery for me he? He then hung up.
- state workerThis appears to be the default setting for Skype unless you go in and set up your caller ID properly. I am a teleworker for the state of Louisiana and when I just tried dialing my own cell number from my Skype number, 661-748-0240 is what appeared. Just the presence of this number appearing on your caller ID does not automatically mean it is a suspicious or malicious call, just that the person is using Skype to place their call and they have not set up their caller ID.
- Caller: State of Louisiana
- KarstenThe number simply seems to be one of probably many numbers that will show up if anyone tries to call your phone using Skype (whether as a result of a forward from your own Skype account, or because the caller uses SkypeOut).
In my case I have family calling from overseas so the calls are usually legit.- Caller: Skype
- TeapotI just got a call from this number twice in a row... the first time I picked up they're actually calling me as I'm writing this now. I answered the first time and just heard rusting and weird noises... My friend just let me know that it's a skype number. So everyone getting calls is getting them from Skype... just an FYI....
- Rob| 1 replyYeah, this is a number in the Skype universe. I just got a call from it and it was from a colleague in China calling me over Skype.
- Caller: Skype
- SarJust got a call from this number, they knew my name and said something about me being on a sex hotline...not many people know this number and usually the people who call it are asking for another person. I heard it was Skype number so I think one of my stupid friends or one of them who are mad at me got one of their friends to call me from skype and prank call me...
