I'm glad they called, I joined in order to protect my 2nd Amendment right.  Damn Obama trying to underscore the constitution.  #impeachtheidiot

This is a collection agency that is saying they are The NRA to see if your number is still good. You are likely never answering your phone, like me, unless you recognize the number or the caller ID shows a name with whom you wish to speak. They also have tricks like calling on their personal unlisted number at around midnight to see if you will answer and thus verify your number is still valid.

This is not the NRA. The NRA is based out of Fairfax, Virginia and not Centreville, Virginia. I called the. NRA again because I am a member and I gave them this new number and they say it is not their number. This happens to them a lot. It makes us mad at the NRA instead of mad at them when they are the scammers here.

The National Rifle Association has always telemarketed their services via phone.  Don't know what rock you've been living under, but this isn't news!!!

When I got this call it says URGENT ALERT and when I answered it, it was NRA. WHAT is so URGENT and Alerting in this day and age for them to have THAT as an ID.????  I nearly had heart failure.  I thought we were being bombed, or there would be an earthquake and tsunami alert. CATS sake alive. Scare me to death already. I want them sued.

I agree this is NOT the National Rifle Assoc.  I have been a member for years and they DO NOT use this kind of tactic.   This is definitely the collection agency.  If there is a way to block them from your phones I would do so.  I have.  Yes, I know they keep calling under different numbers.  Look them up on the internet and report them.  The National Do Not Call This has just become the Federal Do Not Call List and companies are definitely being reported and fined.  It was on our news last night.  Good luck to all of you.  This is exactly what I am going to do.  Report them for harassment.

Dude wake up! Call the number back and you will hear it CLEARLY say National Rifle Association. I just received a call from 703-988-6387 and it was definitely the National Rifle Association.

They are calling your your phone number & Confusing your caller ID, known as "Spoofing".  Another words they are not calling you from that number!!  It's illegal and you need to get a trained professional to put a stop to these idiots.
They are not the NRA. (AKA National Rifle Association).

You are correct. It is NOT the National Rifle Assoc.  I think the people who say it is and insist it is are just against the National Rifle Association and want people to think that they are an annoying pushy organization.  Only collection agencies are annoying.

Every time you deny this you make yyourself look foolish. It is the National Rifle Association, and they do solicit members and former members. Call the stupid number and listen for yourself.

Clearly you do not know as much about the National Rifle Association as you  seem to think. The National Rifle Association will drive former members nuts with these calls. My god, it's a simple matter of dialing the number and listening to what it says.

Here we go again.  Its the chicken or the egg argument.   The argument that has a no win outcome for everyone.    This Thread  (subject)  has come up so many times on this forum that  it ought to be called the "Herpes Thread"  and should be banned by admin!    The never ending argument about who is calling.   The "National Rifle Association"  or the  "National Recovery Agency".   This thread will go on,  and on,  and on,   and on until admin finally wakes up and decides to snip the damn thing after 6 months of redundant and repeated arguing and insulting each other over what amounts to absolutely nothing.   I personally don't give a damn which it is but am getting on with my life instead of hugging this thread and sounding like  school yard children  argueing over who's dog is the bestess............have fun wasting your time.

This number belongs to the National Rifle Recovery Agency. If you answer this call, it confirms that you are indeed home. Shortly thereafter, Barrack Obama and Joe Biden show up on your doorstep and confiscate all of your weapons. DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!

Can you imagine calling anyone on a Sunday afternoon at home with the Caller ID saying URGENT ALERT. Disgusting. Disgraceful, Uncivilized. UnAmerican. If it is the NRA, they should be shot!!!

I just redialed the number and they very clearly identify themselves as the National Rifle Association.
