Got a call from this number this morning. I answered and no one was responding. I hung up....Go figure.

Even if you are on the Do NOt Call List, a company like your creidt cards, banks, hospitals, collections does have a legal right to call.You signed paperwork that says you would pay up..As long as you do business with them, by law they can call you. Ex collector here.

This is a legitimate number and they were appreciative when I called them to let them know the number they called is no linger accurate.

Constant phone calls. No message left. No name on caller ID. I do not answer unknown numbers. I block them. Done.

Called at 9:30 am. Left no message. It seems a  legit caller would leave a message!

I get calls from this number all the time for medical debt.  I have a payment plan set up with Mission Hospital and still get call from them.

PMAB a Debt Collector keeps calling for Bertie King. We are a nursing home and she is not able to answer questions. They need to stop calling this business. (Shallotte Assisted Living) They hang up most of the time when I answer.

I received another call from this number again today.  This time they said they were from an Internal Medicine office and wanted my birthdate and last 4 of my social.  When I asked them to further identified themselves, she said they would contact me by mail and hung up.  Forwarded, don't share any information with this number!

Our business location (a group home for IDD individuals) gets calls from these people all the time. It is against regulations to call a number that is a business phone number if an authorized individual from that number indicates that it is a business line and that their calls may impact services to customers (don't need to use that exact phrasing). While it may very well be that we have medical accounts that are delinquent, we do not deal with third party collectors as our resident services are handled by a separate process. Regardless, I called back the number and advised them that it was a business. The representative with whom I spoke informed me that she would process the request right away. We will see.

I am not understanding your post.  Are you saying the business owes medical bills that are delinquent?  If so, then you have no FDCPA protections.  I have also never heard that "impact services to customers" rule.  Could you provide a citation for that?  Is that a federal or a state law?

They did not successfully remove our number with the previous call. After receiving another call from them at 2:42pm EDT, I called in today and informed them that: Yes, this is a business number; No, the person you're trying to reach is not able to be reached at this number (he has left our facility). She said she would remove the number from the list. We will see again.

No, I am saying a human owes medical bills that are delinquent. That person no longer resides here, and those bills are not owed by our organization.
As for the Business line component (summarily): A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they're told (orally or in writing) that you're not allowed to get calls there.

I'll have to get back to you with a citation for the impact services to customers. It's been ages since I've read it, but if I recall it is only about special needs/medical communities.
