They have called me twice now. I didn't answer the second time as I was at work, but did answer the first time. I was told that they were a collection agency and that they were trying to collect a debt I have with CMC. I told them that I had already dealt with this and have a plan set up with CMC to pay $25 a month through their long term finance program and that I just received the first statement stating that my first payment wasn't due until October. The lady became rude at that point and said "Well, you were sent to collections yesterday and we need to collect your debt". I cut her off and once again said that I had already made a prior arrangement and that I wasn't paying them anything. I refuse to pay both CMC and a collection agency, basically paying double or, in the end, overpaying.

I told my dr. office I was out work after a long hospital stay and would start making payments when I went bck to work,which is next week. Now PMAB. Has it and won't take partial payments. Now I know about, not a cent to them...

You should be ashamed of yourself for being such a hateful person.  You are the ignorant one.  Don't you know people have feelings and some people do not excel in grammar like apparently you do.  They were just trying to help someone else by letting them know the experience their family had to deal with and I think your ignorance is dangerous because you just might make a remark to someone about "illegitimate children"  that just might clean the floor with your face!!!

This is the perfect example of someone who doesn't understand and as a result has not availed themselves of the rights given to them under the law.  "First Contact" does not strictly mean them talking to you.  First contact is the very first message they left on that voicemail.

There are numerous posts in here giving you information.  But, now that they have left a voice message, that is considered first contact and you can read what they are now required to do by law in the several informative posts in this thread.  When they fail to send that letter out, you have grounds to report and to sue them.
