I've been getting calls from this number for a couple of months.  I get the recorded message from PMAB, L.L.C., concerning a 'personal business matter.'  They do not ask for anyone by name,  They leave two phone numbers at which to call them back, and they give a reference number for me to use when I call them back.

I have caller ID and do not answer calls from numbers I do not know.  The information in the message is insufficient to warrant my calling them back, since they do not seem to know my name and have not previously tried to contact me by mail.

Furthermore, I don't owe anyone any money that I'm not already reliably paying back, and I've gotten no bills in the mail indicating delinquent payments on anything.

I consider the call bogus, but I think I'll call the credit reporting agencies to see if they know anything about this.

I live in the Atl. I just got a call from them for a bill from 2007 that I know one of my 3 insurances have paid. The number on the caller ID had 800-489-2854, but the message they left told me to call back at 678-969-7840. After being nastynice to them, threatened to report them to BBB, they hung up in my face. Their a FRAUD do not send them a dime. You've been warned!

I have been called each week for the past several months.  I've returned the phone call and have explained that the person they are looking for does not have this number any longer.  They keep telling me they will remove my number from the system, but the calls continue.  I have an idea.  Here is a link that list the officers of PMAB.  Call their office and ask to speak to them.  See how they like getting calls all day long.

I get calls from this number several times a week - even on Sat mornings - and NEVER a human being.  I don't respond to recorded calls especially ones asking me to call long distance.  WRONG!!!!  I agree, they are to blame for bad credit especially when insurance companies take care of the bills - they want cash from you also.

You have a great deal of nerve telling people off like that.  I want to speak back on behalf of all the people like myself who DO pay our bills, and on time, that it is the ineptitude and plain greed on the behalf of the medical offices that messes things up to begin with.  I PAID my portion of this bill after the insurance paid theirs, and they still sent this to collections.  I have proven it repeatedly and the collections company still call me.  And the collections agents are the ones VERBALLY HARASSING ME, not the other way around.

I received the automated call, and actually went thru the steps, because I wanted to see who keeps calling.  Then this person asks my name, says his is Patrick.  I said Patrick who and he refuses to say.  He wants me to give him my address as verification.  I refused, saying he should be giving it to me to verify, I do not give out info to people I do not know, and that he called me.  He wants me to call him back at some extension, but that still won't tell me anything.  If they are legitimate, they don't need the info FROM me.  He refused to tell me what the call was about other than a debt collection.  Since I do not have any such debts, this sound like a scam.

That number shows up every day and NO ONE!!! Talk about a waste of money!!!!!!

First time I have received a call from these people. I have several bills a month incoming (all medical, as I have several medical illnesses, often have tests and expensive treatments for them not 100% covered by insurance) as well as ones coming in from 2 hospital stays over the last 3 years. Each month, each bill gets paid a little bit. I have never received (from these doctors offices or hospitals) any notices of past due or delinquent accounts, balances, or bills. I had one bill escape the cracks (sent to wrong address) for a few months, but I just sent a payment on it (50% of entire bill) last week and next month the other half will get paid, given how much I can afford to put out on each bill each month. Some bills range from only $30, to $500, to maybe more on my hospital stays.

It's just odd that suddenly, I find this bill THEN make a payment and I hear from this collection agency. From reading a few of these somewhat eloquent comments, this call seems somewhat fishy. For the 6+ years I've had this cell number, I've had wrong calls from credit agencies, avon representatives, etc., for someone else of a different name... so I'm not entirely sure this call is for me. I just assumed it was by reading these comments, associating this medical collection agency with the fact I do, indeed, have a lot of bills each month that are medical related. I've never had service refused, any of these medical offices call me regarding my billing, or send me a letter in the mail - either separately or in conjunction with my bill. I have had a defaulted student loan in my past, but that's LONG been remedied and paid off, and my credit recovered from it - so dealing with debt collections and whatnot isn't entirely new to me... it just seems very odd how this is going about if not somewhat fishy or like a scam.

As for PMAB - If you TRULY have my mailing address: Send me written correspondence, please. State your purpose and my method of action, just like the US Dept of Education does. Until then, I will pay on my medical bills MONTHLY - the bills come each month, I make a substantial payment, I don't get a call or letter about it, they come back each month, the balance is lower. Repeat until it's paid off.

Guy, who was very muffled and had difficulty in understanding, asked for a Carol R.  I told him that the number was not under that name and hadn't been for at least 6 months.  Also asked him to remove the number as a contact for this Carol subject.

This number has called my cell several times over the past few weeks and never leaves a message. The only reason I answered it today was because I thought it was someone I was waiting on a call from (I'll learn to always check caller ID).  I answered, there was silence almost long enough for me to hang up when a female voice said, "Is so-and-so there?"  (A little un-businesslike don't ya think?).  I could hear a lot of what sounded like paper rustling.  I said, "Sorry, you have the wrong number".  She came back with, "Is this 'xxx-xxxx' (my phone number).  Yes.  Is so-and-so there?  Uh, what part of, you have the wrong number wasn't clear?   Mental midgets.

I get a call almost every day from this #, for sometime now.  They used to send me statements saying I owed a medical bill.  This bill was paid when I received the statement, only (1) statement.  I do not owe any other bills that maybe past due.  Now they just call and say nothing.  I call this harassment.

We continually get calls from this #704-553-7146  this is a bill collection agency trying to collect a debt?  My husband had 3 medical insurances during the time of service and all bills have been paid to the provider in full,but they still continue to call sometimes several times a day. I even played nice and gave them all 3 insurance co. info and they continue to harass  us even though I have E.O.B's from insurance showing bills were paid and my returned ck.proves bills were paid in full.   This is a scam I believe...someone is feeding info and getting paid to provide info on people who have major medical bills because they believe you wont check every bill because there are soo many so you are being double billed sometimes!!!!     Check every bill through insurance and make sure you owe the difference or what the  allowed difference is due to the insurance co. contract with the provider....you don't always owe the full diff. paid!!!!!     My husband has battled 2 glioma brain tumors,a pituitary tumor which caused a  rare disease( he now must live with), as well as radiation and chemo and now has a seizure disorder all within past 16 yrs.  We have too much to deal with already and always pay ALL of our bills...sometimes it takes a year or so to pay off but all get paid. THIS IS HARASSMENT on top of mental and physical distress I now  pay an attorney/accountant to do all medical bills.  Guess what....no more phone calls.  Attorney said this is fraud and they are double billing in some cases and is now trying to collect on bills I paid twice in the last 5 yrs.

I also started receiving phone calls from this number and they would all come in during the hours that I was at work. The message was always the same to call the number concerning a personal matter and I would always delete the message and never call back.  One day my it got the better of me and I called the number back only to find a tape recording telling me to leave my name, number and someone would contact me.  Sounded strange so the next day I called it again and got the same message.  A few days later I was at home when the call came in and I answered it, only to find a lady on the other line and the first thing she said was I would like for you to know I have heard every kind of story you are about to tell me (which mad me furious because I knew I did not owe any money).  Then she wanted me to give her my mailing address and SS number to verify who I was.  I told her if you called me then you should have all of that information,  She became even more rude so I told her to never call my home, work or cell again. She proceeded to tell me that I had a debt with this company and needed to resolve it.  I informed her I knew more about my rights than she evidently gave me credit for and the company would be receiving a cease and do not call letter, (which you can easily find on the internet).  I sent the letter and have not heard from them again.

Do not pay this company any money.

Calls from this 704-553-7146, just added them to my reject list, I owe no medical bills!

I filed bankruptcy over a month ago and they are still calling me. No regard for the law- they need to be put out of business.
