I've worked for Pmab before, the collectors are trained to be very nice the people that they call are the worst ever! Ive never known people to be so mean and rude! No they Do not buy debt, that's not true. The hospital and or Drs still own the accounts. I'm a very nice person and  I've called people to ask them to pay "their" medical Bill they became very irate, and blame the colletor for being rude when they were the ones rude. OMG some of you people are the rudest ever, but please be aware that your Drs and hospitals sometimes request copies of those calls. Just pay your bill! If there is an insurance issue fix it! If you've paid your bill and it went to collections in error that's not the collection agency's fault call your dr office or hospital and they will pull the account out of collections! It's just that simple people! Handle your business like  adults or have your credit ruined! Be glad the collector is calling you to give you an opportunity to pay or make arrangements to pay. How would you like it if they didn't call, If the company just automatically placed the account on your credit no warning!

Not true! The company does not call on Sundays. You must have a lot of debt you are trying to avoid. And you must have more than 1 account to get more than 1 call a day.

Here's a hint..... Just pay your medical Bill.

Or just pay it! That will make it go away!

They call me for my grown childrens medical debt as well. I keep telling them that these bills are not my problem and to leave me out of it.

Was your post a real thing?  It seems so blatantly ignorant, that it is almost parody.  If up to this point, you have have no idea what I am talking about, then your ignorance is at a dangerous level.  There is no way to fully critique what you posted, because it is barely English and otherwise has zero structure and meaning.  As I have mentioned, your ignorance is incredibly dangerous to you and to your undoubtedly 10+ illegitimate children.  People like you should not be able to breed.

I hate this company. I got to pay $50 up fort at the hospital as our co-pay.  that what insurance dose not cover and they then they pay outstanding balance. and hospital got take what they get. So I called the insurance company and sent them a statement that i payed my co-pay and that i  owe $0 and that hospital bill was paid. Then they told me that This is a second  bill for the Dr. which should  be only one bill.  for $489 so i asked them was it possible that the insurance paid the bill after the hospital went to them so it took about week form there to get back to me. so possibly they  called hospital and said i still owe.   but could just sat back waited week and called my back saying i still owe with out calling the hospital .

I am also getting tired of these phone calls!!! I even have a block on my phone WTF!!!

I had no idea who these people were until I googled the number. A medical collections agency, and I think I know who sent it.  Check to see if you really owe anything, because it's usually a hospital that can't wait to get their money. What a load of b.s.

They did the same to me, I had a bill with CMC and was called by pmab which was only 2_weeks overdue, so I went ahead and payed the bill through Carolina health , then I called Carolina health care and they said it was paid and they would take it off pmabs list. Well when I checked my credit report about a year later, there it was! I called pmab and they said it hadn't been paid! I call Carolina health care and they would take care of it,it still was never taken off, I ended up paying Pmab too to get it off my credit report, so if you ever have a bill thru pmab pay it directly to them or you will get ripped off like me.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I didn't give the folks a chance to make a 'first contact' with me.  They left a suspicious message about their trying to collect a debt, along with a reference number to use when I call back.  I don't return bullshot requests like this.  I didn't know anything about a debt, and they never sent a bill.

They kept calling, leaving nice messages, so I got tired of it and blocked their number.  They continued to call even though they were blocked.  They stopped calling after several years.

Obviously, it was completely bogus.  If they don't send an explanation or bill through the mail, then I can't even consider what they want.  Don't talk to these folks if you don't already have anything in writing from them.
