Called me looking for DAWN

i have received three calls a day from this number for the last two months, the first time they asked for Robert? i said there is no one by that name at this number, second time was they have my name, number, address, and just need to verify my ss number, i told them to shove it, third time i told them that i have their number, the fact they called the first time asking for Robert then the second time told me i owed them money is stupid....hello!!!! phones have caller ID's now, so everyday i get three phone calls saying i owe this one or that one money, i tell them to [***] and they say they will call back when i am in a better mood. i have told them to take me off their list, i will sue them and they came back with u dont know where we are, i cant block their number b/c my phone does not have that feature.

I see that this call is from GA, but on the caller ID is says Russia.  Since I do not know anyone in either place, this call went to the ignore list!!!

I wish this number would stop calling me. I don't know why this number calls me I don't answer the phone when this calls because when I pick up the phone they won't shut up so I don't answer this number at all I wish they would stop calling because I'm getting really sick of it

I've researched this number,
(706) 250-5038 through a number of available Google searched websites, only to determine by reading the posts of others, that they are either a Collection Agency or a Scam processor of some kind.
I've made a very serious point throughout my life to keep a pristine credit score with absolutely no delinquent accounts, even so far as to never be so much as a moment late to any creditor, thusly, my "Credit Score" currently rests at 812.
I have recently Refinanced the balance of my home at a greatly reduced interest rate which leads me to believe someone with less than honorable intentions has gotten their slimy, scum riddled fingers on the financial documents utilized during my latest large transaction.
To those who have posted, I thank you. To all who seek out this number, get your free credit reports from the Big 3 and watch yourselves closely for fraudulent activity. Do Not Be A Victim!

Columbia DVD is out of business as far as I know. Can we say scam?

Well they provided my name and wanted me to confirm my home address.  I told them to tell me who were they and they said until I confirmed the address they could not move further.  I said if they needed something they could tell me what I wanted to know first.  They said have a good day and hung up!  Fools like I'm gonna give them my personal information.  Idiots!

These people are debt collection agencies trying to get info about someone else said they were looking for James Fontane.  I got harassed with telemarketers afterwards.

When I answered the call I had to hold for a "representative," so I did. I was just curious to see what it was. She asked for me, I said "speaking." She then asked to verify my home address (which she then gave to me.) I asked what it was regarding and she said she couldn't tell me that until I verified my address. I told her I would not verify anything until she could tell me why she was calling, and for what company. She spouted off some stuff, which I didn't catch and then told me she had all of my personal information and that I just needed to verify my address or the last 4 of my social. Right...I said if you have all my personal information there in front of you, go ahead and mail me a letter, said thank you and hung up. Strange, I haven't received anything from her.

Got a call saying owed $89.15 for furniture.  Asked name of the store they were collecting for - she said they didn't have that information.  Asked for date of "purchase", she said the didn't have that information.  Asked for copies of bill, attempts by store to collect, and all related documents and was put on hold.  Three minutes later they said they had "filed this debt under fraud.  Asked for copy of the file and she said they didn't have to send. You really don't want my next statement to her on public website.  Love being a retired detective who has worked fraud cases!!!!!!!

Have received calls from 706 250  5038 several times.  My husband has answered and they say nothing.  Most recent was today, 5/30. I HAVE ordered from NorthStyle and was seriously disappointed with their product and sent e-mail telling them so.  Now I will have to get a new card. And I know a PI. Guess I will be calling him.

Received a call from them today, claiming to be from some collection agency collecting on a debt from Columbia House dated backto 2005. Two things wrong with this, first its ten years old. Second I didnt open this account with them. There are somethings I just won't order online orthrough the mail such as CD's, DVD's and food. There is no quarantee they will arrive undamaged. The address they provided also is wrong. i didn't move to our present address until 2008. Its most likely a scam. Just in case I plan on contacting the proper authorities about this. Just beware there are people who would sell their soles to get money from people. If this is an ctual debt it was most likely created by my ex-husbandwho isdead since 2011. One more thing, make them put it in writing, they have five days to mdo so by law. Make them do it.

You dont need a PI, just learnthe laws and makecontact with the federal authorities.

Thanks for all the information, everyone!  Got a call from this number yesterday. YES, it seems they are still trying to run this scam in 2015. I normally don't answer my phone, but I do have a friend in Georgia with this area code. Same story, wanted me to verify my info. I told the guy you're the one calling me, why should I verify anything? I refused to give him my name, my address, ANYTHING. He then asked me if I could give him the last 4 of my ss#, to make sure he's contacting the right person. I told him he was a Damn fool and obviously mentally impaired if he thought I would give him that info when I wouldn't even give him my name. He hung up on me after mumbling "you [***]."    Well, my job is done!   :)

This number has been calling me and hanging up for months now and I'm sick of it. Is there no way to get these jerks shut down?

Same with me. This is a scam number, if you call them back and ask why they're calling, they will ask "We are trying to reach (Your Name)" and just tell them, you have the wrong number. It will stop soon.

Unless you're feeling feisty, in which case I have started big fights with them.

Called saying I owed Colombia house $75, I told him it's not on my credit report so it must be super old. Sounds like a scam. Why did they just start calling all of a sudden after 15 years?
