- GOING POSTALAnother number blocked...What a shame!
- PrincessSame thing as a lot of others posted that "this is you second and final call..." I always thought "Final Call" meant that they would not call again but guess what, they keep right on calling with the "Second and Final Call". How many final calls do we have to get before they actually stop calling.
We pressed "1" as directed and (you guessed it) dead air.- Caller: Bank Card Company

- Imelda MaurerI.D. said Card Service", the phone rang twice, I picked up the receive and the voice said "This is an important message about your credit card" then the line went dead.

- Jody Corbin replies to BE| 1 replyWe get at least one call a day, same recorded voice, telling us it's our last chance to lower credit card interest rates, and we NEVER EVER have to pay ANY interest as we NEVER EVER carry a balance. I wonder how many useless calls they make to find ONE person who takes their calls? And we are on both state and federal "Do Not Call" lists.
- G in TN replies to mark| 1 replyMark, Digitone Call Blocker (80 number capaciy) can be used w/answering machine (I currently have this one), and the newest Panasonic w/250 numder blocking capacity has one version with built-in answering machine (may get to eplace answering machine but add to Digitone call blocker. It's amazing how quickly I reach the 80 number capacity!
- Sir Bedevere replies to G in TNThere's no need to spend $100 on a device to block calls as there are many less expensive options. Even some free ones.
If you are interested in replacing/upgrading your phone many are now available with blocking features and the ability to block a lot of numbers.
The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.
You can set up a Google phone account for free (with easily configurable call blocking) and get your home calls forwarded there.
If you have a home office or just have a home computer on most of the time Phone Tray Free software (Google it) may work for you. As the name implies, it's free. - Marge| 1 replyTry this. Set your answering system to two rings. After two rings the answering service says leave a message The don't and after a couple of tries to call you they stop. I get these scam calls but they get tired of calling and stop. It might work for you.
- Kplan23 replies to MargeThat's not really the best solution. Here's why. When your answering machine or voicemail picks up you have given out some information.
1. You have validated your # is active and accepts calls. Expect more calls from this caller and others they sell your active # to.
2. You may not be home at that particular time of the day.
3. Your voice will give away your sex and approximate age.
The best choice is to not answer at all, ever! But if you do use voicemail most cold human callers and robo-callers hang up on 4 or less rings. I set my voicemail to pick up on 5 rings. That way I avoid messages left by telemarketers and if the don't get through the # will be marked as unreachable and removed from their call list.
You can also hook up a fax machine. After a communicating with a fax the robo-caller will also drop your # from the call list. - Kplan23Called on 09/06/2013 @ 12:16 PM from Orange, CA. No message left. Caller ID shows V09061216350016. This is the usual calling card Rachel from Card Services, the worst of the worst of scammers. They rarely show Card Services on Caller ID. Usually just a V followed by a series of random digits. They have called for years from hundred of #'s and locations around the country. Bottom dwelling scum you can't block because tomorrow it will be a new # and location. Just ignore them.

I wouldn't give, said I didn't want to charge anything, so she got her supervisor.

"Don't worry about giving my card number, I'm under protection of consumers protection act." LOL
I wouldn't give cc number, Robert hung up.
They call almost every day, various phone numbers. I just play them along as long as possible, till they hang up. Wasting their time is the best I can do to fight back against these identity thieves.

Sorry Rachel but I'm on vacation this week and can't be there to check caller ID. You've called from Washington, Kentucky and California in the 3 days I've been gone. And I assume many other #'s I've blocked. I hope you and your friends get Christmas off. We deserve a break from your calls too.
