This is used by Citrix and other companies to send people a 4 digit security code, for secondary security, if they can't get via a text on their mobile phone.  They will say something like "Verify code is 1234"

My call was from  MyIDcare and ID'ed as 'VERIFY'. It is valid for me and pertained to last year's government computer breach of data on 22.5 million people.  Remember even Big Brother is venerable.

Apparently from what I've read here, many companies use this service, but I wouldn't bother answering if you're not expecting it.  In my case, outlook.com asked to send a code to the number they had on record for me, in order for me to access my account info.  I (or you) could opt for an email, but the phone was easier for me.  Called me within seconds of my requesting code, asked for me to press #, spoke the code twice and hung up.  100% legitimate.  Accessed my account.  BTW, my caller ID said, "SILVERADO CA" for what its worth.

Newspaper delivered on Wednesday February 17.  Had 714 707 3260 written in color  vlolet across the front page imbedded by the
Alaska Dispatch News in Anchorage, Ak.  I also have that number showing up on my phone calling record.

the changing of verizon e-mail to aol, causes that number to call us.
i am not interested in changing to aol at all.

if you change verizon to aol as verizon is doing that to all customers, that number calls you giving you a code, that is all there is.

For me it was verifiation by phone for my outlook email address

microsoft outlook email address verification by phone... not sure if that number is used for other reasons but in my case I do know this for sure

Same here! Caller was an automated system leaving me a code. No other ID or info.
Some have posted this is from Microsoft, some from AOL, some post that it is from Verizon. We have none of these except a Microsoft windows system. Would say if it is this vague and no other info...BLOCK them! Must be a scam!

Same for me. I almost did not answer to get verification code for transfer when Silverado CA showed up on caller ID where I expected to see AOL.

Received a call showing this number and Silverado CA a few moments after clicking button to get verification code when changing my Verizon email to AOL. I almost did not answer when a city name showed instead of AOL but an glad I did and got the code to finish instillation.

Got a legitimate call from this number to verify my microsoft account.

I got a missed call from this unknown number +1-714-707-3260. I googled this number and found the area in the US.Funny coz I live half across the globe coming from Manila.
