- Not Jose ConsuelosThese guys handle fraud cases. I got a call multiple times and they never said a name, so I called them back to see WTF they wanted. They said some Jose guy falsely provided my phone number as his in order to commit check fraud with someone.
Clearly it wasnt me and they said they would stop calling me. They seemed very nice and hopefully they dont call anymore.- Caller: Nichols and Grant

- SSThey called threatening to show up at my house or work and said a complain has been filed against me and I will be ordered to court. Someone from there calls and leaves messages daily. Its harassment and I will file a complaint. So glad I saw this. I have student loans but will only be making arrangements w/the loan people, not this b.s scam of a company.

- D. Giunta| 2 repliesNickels and Grants, page 12, summons and court date, two charges of check fraud against me (totally not true) blah, blah, blah. They were very threatening. I am in debt but I am not dishonest. I would like to see a class action lawsuit against these unethical jerks. Who do these guys think they are to threaten, harass, and make false accusations against people who have lost everything in this lousy economy?
they said someone social security number and bank account information may have been compromised due to possible fraud that probably happened on the internet and to call this 1800 number to speak w/a representative. ! they dont mention any names and that is suspicious. why wouldnt my bank just call me if this were true?? we also got another phone call w/ the same message from a rossi and lombardi law firm. i believe they are both the same.- Caller: Nelson and Grant
- jodiYes, same thing. They called and left several messages, if we received court pages, to discuss pg. 12 for a court apperance. I was furious , called them back and said we never heard of Gary Smith and it stop calling us. Some guy, Tim Johnon said one of their attorneys would call back to follow up, I told them its not our problem and don't call back. Yes, they called back and my husband took the call and they were very rude, insulting and trying to get him intentionally upset. We told them we are calling the FBI and then they got even more verbally hostile. I will call the Attorney General Office, and report them. They left a mssg with this number to call back: 716-362-2812, saying they are from Nicolas and Grant Firm. IF YOU SCAMMERS ARE READING THIS< GET A LIFE AND A REAL JOB! I BET YOUR MISERABLE< Thanks to all who posted.

- BB replies to D. Giunta| 1 replyWe keep getting calls form Rossi and Lombardi Law Firm. They say it is check fraud and a court date is about to happen unless we send them $200.00 and our Social Securtiy Numbers. RED FLAG! They are very threatening. They also keep calling friends and relatives. This is just unbelieveable. Where do they get all the numbers from? Including cell phone numbers?
- ME TOOI have just started getting these calls. There has to be a way to sue this so called company. Maybe if there is enough of us we can close them down. I will be contacting our Attorney General tomorrow. Something has to be done with these guys. I hear harassment is against the law.

- D. Giunta replies to BBthanks for info. yes we got that phone call too from rossi and lombardi, today we got another phone call and didnt even say where they were from. i think they get it from places like facebook and twitter. never put ure info in there or make ures private. ive been blocking all the numbers and they keep on callin with different ones. i wonder how we can get the fbi involved? this is harrassment to the fullest. i should check it out. ive saved all of the messages.
- TonightI also just started getting the calls for about a week now. I am in the process of reporting everything. The first thing you have to do is document everything and make sure you follow up on everything that has come to you from these clowns. This kind of behavior has been banned by congress and is subjected to heavy penalties. With enough people reporting to this site it will follow as record for when the time the government slaps these guys silly, they will be caught with there pants down. Please continue to do your own research on how to further peruse these people yourself. They cannot do anything to you, just know that.

- Eleana| 1 replyI received a phone call from a 1-888-539-9064 two days in a row. The first caller identified himself as Tim Johnson from the Nichols and Grant Law Firm and stated that his law firm sent papers to me at my home or work a week ago and he needed to go over page 12 of the documents and to talk to me about my upcoming court appearances. He left a callback number of 716-362-2812.
Today they called again and the caller did not identify himself but stated that this is the first of two documented attempts to contact me and that I am the suspect in an investigation and to call back to another 888 number that I didn't even have time to write down.
Neither of these individuals even stated who they were looking for but stated sir or madam instead.
I do not owe any debts to anyone so I know this cannot be a collections attempt, unless it is for someone else.
I looked up Nichols and Grant at the better business bureau. The offices are located in New York and they are a collection agency, not a law firm. They also have 6 unresolved complaints against their company at this time.
I live in Ohio and even though they are calling from New York, they are supposed to follow the laws of Ohio. If I did owe a debt, they are not to misrepresent themselves as a law firm. This is against the law. Also, any company, including a law firm would have to take an individual to court in order to collect a debt or have wages garnished. You cannot be taken to jail or arrested for a debt.
I called them and considering that I used to work in an actual law firm told them in no uncertain terms that I knew the law and they need to cease and desist calling me immediately or else I would be contacting the authorities and filing my own law suit against their company. They never did tell me who they were even looking for.
My advice to anyone who is dealing with Nichols and Grant is the following....
1. Ask them who they are attempting to contact. If it is you, then find out what debt they are attempting to collect. If you owe this debt, go back to the original source and work out a plan to pay this debt and do not attempt to work with this company. Any company that will harass people and misrepresent themselves is not a company you will want to negotiate with.
2. Ask for their law firm identification number, if they indeed represent themselves to you that way. All law offices have an identification number. If they realize you know this and they cannot provide this then allow them to know that you can indeed turn them into the authorities for misrepresentation.
3. Ask for the name of the company owner and the number and address of their corporate offices. This will usually be enough to scare them off and if not then you have the needed information to contact your state's and New York's attorney general's office.
4. Ask them to cease and desist in calling you about this debt even if it is your debt. In most states, including Ohio you have the right to ask this and it has to be complied with or you can sue for harassment. This does not mean that they cannot send you letters to continue to collect, only that they cannot call you about this issue anymore.
5. If they continue to call you after all of this then it is time to contact the Attorney General's office in your home state as well as New York where they are located. You can also file a complaint with the local police department.
