We have received several calls from Rossi and Lombardi at 716-332-1658 regarding a package we should have received and court dates. They never said a name and when I asked who they were calling they just kept talking making me think it was a recording. Please do something about this. My husband and I do not need this kind of harassment.

As a police officer from Ohio I was certain that by falsely advising themselves as a Law Firm and not a collection agency is  Illegal, I called New York's Attorney General. After explaining as to what happened after my wife came home crying, stating she has to go to court, I became aware that this was  malpractice by a collection agency and not a law firm. The gentleman that I spoke to explained that I was in fact correct and this N&G was actually having over 50 people call and complain on a weekly basis. The number to call and report them, is - 716 853 8400

Simply explain they are advising they are a Law Firm and not a collection agency! Help battle malpractice on these ([***]) and win back your civil rights!

I have received numerous calls over the last few months from "Tim Johnson" from the Rossi and Lombardy firm- saying that they sent me a package to my home or work place.  They never used my name - during one call they used the last 4 digits of my SS.  They always said they had to go over page 15 - that the court case was coming up rapidly.  I have never spoken to them.  When I got the first call, I was a worried - I called my brother who is Miami Beach Police Sgt - He told me ' don't worry - it's a scam" - But I'm still getting those annoying calls frequently.

My boss called me at home today 8-17-12 saying this is Brown & Williams and they are taking me to court. A Cody Spidal or Cory Spindal was his name.

I have the same Problem, they are a bogus firm, they are impersonating attorneys! I had my Attorney call them on speaker phone and he set the record straight, they went from attorneys to people that just answer the phones, HAHA! I guess they don't factor in a possibility that the person they called could be a courier for one of the largest law firms in the area! My Attorney asked to speak with one of their attorneys and what do you know there are NO attorneys at that office. My attorney said they are a sold debt collection agency whom are using illegal tactics that violate the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. They were calling my family stating that I was writing fraudulent checks and that they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest. My attorney found out that it was an old SETTLED debt with Wachovia bank. It was the best 75 bucks I spent. I love it, I just want them to call me or my family members one more time so I can motion to file a law suit.

I have received multiple HARASSING, FRAUDULENT voice-mails  from this number saying that I should have received a packet at my place of employment or residency regarding some hearing dates I have, and that they need to go over page 15 with me. How to know when its a SCAM: 1st: they don't know your name, or any other personal information about you.....2nd: they make up some absurd story about money you owe or hearing dates you have that you would have so how known about if it was really true. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE - THEY ARE LOW LIFE FILTHY SCUMBAGS! I called them back once just to entertain them, but i refused to give them any personal information - i told them the next time they called me, they would be the ones with a hearing date and that i would file a harassment charge against them, they were extremely irritated with me, very rude and hung up.............and if it was legit then i would expect them to act more professional. Its a crying shame people actually try to make a living like this, by IDENTITY FRAUD.

Yet another instance of phone harassment! Be aware people this is more scam than anything legitimate. I have never bounced a check, I have never defaulted on any loan, my credit score is almost 800... These SCAMMERS haven't any legitimate reason to be calling me, and simply because you may have some hiccups in your recent credit history, does not mean they have a legitimate reason to be contacting you either! Personally I am tired of these trolls leaving the harassing phone messages that they do on my personal Cel phone. The person's name given is also Tim Johnson as the representative. He is equally generic when calling, something about a packet mailed that I would have had to sign for, and that he needs to go over page 15 concerning the court date and hearing. This scammer has used several call back numbers, I have noticed also that this organization is blocking the real number they are calling from as it does not show in my missed calls record; I just get prompted about a voicemail... I had actually considered calling them back to tell them they have the wrong number, now I am far more inclined to file a Class Action lawsuit against them. anyone interested? Write back here, if there is enough interest in this action, I will leave an email at that time. If anyone else has already begun this action, please let everyone know here. This should stop now!

I just received a call from them looking for a former employee and told them not to serve a subpoena here.  They told me just to tell the server when he comes.  I told him, no, for him to call the attorney they called to handle this and they can call the server.  Before I could get all of this out of my mouth, the idiot had hung up on me.  Believe me, I'm trying to get back in touch with him.

just got a call today from a Lucas Cain, with the same kind of threats, he hung up on me but not before making me an offer to pay it off for a much lessor amount. When I called back to 855-215-4132 I asked for a manager and was then talking to Frank Lewis, sooo many red flags, went off!!! The thing that scares me is that they have my social security number. I filed a formal complaint with the B.B.B of New York, I also plan to file with the Sec. of State, and the Sheriff's office, they are trying to collect on an account that is already past the legal limit for collection! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!

I received several phone calls from Nichols and Grant today. I was threatened to the point of almost giving Frank Lewis my debit card information. The scary thing about the call I got was the amount of information he had about me. He actually had my social security number and all of my credit information. He said I owed $2500 for overdraft fees, and I could settle the account if I paid $1000 on a debit card today. He told me about every credit card I had as well as my credit rating, which he said would be destroyed if I did not settle. When I asked him give me information about the debt I was told he could not access that information until I gave him my debit card information to insure the debt would be paid.

today oct 2 2012 exact same call from james grant of nichols and grant refering to page 15 of a packet sent to me or my place of employment   this is a debt collection agency that bought a debt that was owed from a credit card;loan dept store whatever this collection agency will use whatever tactics they can to get you to pay the debt all they can do is call and harass you the best way to pay your debt is to recieve a credit report and do your own research and set up payments ignre all lies from nichols and grant because thats all they are;lies.unfortunately they are allowed to do that.

James has been calling my cell, my work, even my brother's home phone trying to get me to fall for their bulls**t.   Lame threats.   I may answer the next one and tell them to send me the original paperwork.  They'll tell me I'm just trying to get out of paying a debt.  I'll say, prove that I have this debt.  They can't, They get frustrated and finally stop trying to rip me off.

Have been calling me for weeks.  Same scenario as above.

Got a call from them a few times. Always wanting to go over page 15 that they have mailed to me and I should have signed for. I have never gotten anything. I called today and they were extremely rude and threatening. They said there was a federal check fraud case against me and my bank accounts would be frozen for the next 5-7 years. I said "They'll freeze my bank accts for $537" and he said "yes, plus attorney fees. I don't work for free". I kept wanting to go over page 15 and he kept dodging my questions. I asked when my hearing date was and he said "Well I don't have that in front of me - it doesn't matter though b/c all you can do is sit and watch while the lawsuit is placed against you." I asked for details of the charges and he said I lost that right to negotiate a long time ago (its been since 2009). I have NEVER gotten anything in the mail with details of these charges and how they got to that amount. He mentioned he would mail the packet to my job and I said "Well I don't have a job" and he said "Well that's not something to be proud of". I am a stay at home mom of 2 little girls - that is my job! Rude Rude Rude - obviously they are a collection company b/c no real law firm would dodge questions and speak to people that rudely. I gave him a taste of his own medicine back. I don't think Lucas Cane liked me very much. If that's even his real name.

I have received many of calls from this same entity threatening to affect my banking status within the next 3 bus days, today they left me a message wanting to discuss page 15 of the packet I should be in receipt of. PLEASE....I am not easily intimidated.

They have been calling everyday for 3 weeks several times a day for me at a relatives house so I've been in contact with BBB and my attorney about this BS scam to get peoples money and info,harassment by phone etc so they will b soon dealt with..Fair debt collection practices act..they can't do this and really how can all these people including myself owe a payday loan or whatever for same amount? We aren't dumb!
