- C ByrdI also recieved calls from this number threatening to garnish my wages.(I have been unemployed for 3 years) also threatening to have my DL suspended and tags on my vehicles revoked , scary part was they named the year make and model of both vehicles! they never say whom they are representing, why would I give my bank information to someone I don't know! number to call back was 716 362 2812!
- Kage| 1 replyHey guys. I got the same call. Do yourselves a favor and look up any court documents they claim have been filed under your name. They stated that I was to receive a summons TODAY. I looked up my name in my county's courts and there are NO pending cases. Nichols and Grant buy debt from companies and use legal scare tactics. Just Google search "court records" for your county and do a search for all court locations. Good luck!

- Anonym replies to ChelleThey called me at work too. Asked them what is was about - it was a debt to a company named "Checkmate." We had a loal with them prior to filing Ch7 - gave them that info and they promised not to call again - then four hours later, got another call. They admitted they call you on AUTO-DIALER. They don't even know who they're freakin' calling - and there's NO PACKET - don't worry. BUT, if you've ever walked away from a payday loan with Checkmate, these people apparently buy the debt. They are a SLIMY COLLECTION AGENCY! Interesting tactics though. Got everyone's attention, didn't they.
- RapidSomeone named Tim Johnson of a place called Nichols and Grand Law Firm says I should have received a packet of documents either at my residence or employer (its always last week) and he needs to go over page 12 for date and time of appearance and transcripts, etc. I have never received any such documents. I have also been getting calls from someone saying they they have legal documents to serve me and give me a case # but they refuse to tell me who is serving the papers, I said then serve me these alledged documents or stop calling me.
I think they are related to AmeriLoan, a Payday Loan Company using all methods to get money out of someone.............- Caller: Nicholas & Grant
- KenSo, I'll tell you what I did with these schmucks. I got the same call about my court appearance "fast approaching" and they needed to discuss page 12 and so on. The clown on the phone stated this could all be averted if I would settle then. I said "nope" and told the idiot that I was home and was waiting for the service of the papers. He hung up. I never got served, so I called them back the next day and asked where my papers were. I told him to stop harrassing me and hung up. Then I thought I'd play with them, so I started leaving messages on their voice mail every 5 minutes. Must have left 20 messages. never got a call back, so I called them again 3 days later. Tolkd the moron I was waiting for the papers and he again wanted to settle. I told him "Is this the best you can do? What about getting a real job d-bag." He hung up on me and I haven't heard from them since. This was 2 weeks ago. Whoever gets calls from these guys, I'd challenge them and turn the tables on them. They're a joke and should NOT be taken seriously. Don't be intimidated by their threats. They can't do anything to you.

- Very Upset replies to UnknownGot this call on July 4th at 9 pm, was at the pool, picked my cell - 9 times call, I called back next day - they told me all kind of staff with some info correct but they mentioned the name of the credit company I had credit card long time ago with ex (he supposed to pay it off after separation and never did), this company somehow stalled the info but I realized they are scam as they were telling me it was loan and I missed one payment in 2009 as the check bounced. Ha, that was not true - it was a credit car and never paid with check - always on line!!!!! These companies get our information!!!!!!!!! SCAM!!!!!

My boss is pretty cool but I don't want to lose my job over these idiots. Please help someone. Also, does anyone know the number to anywhere in Pennsylvania where I can turn this number into so that it is on record that they are a scam?

- NicoleSo I just called this "Tim Johnson" back and someone actually picked up. I was like "someone keeps calling me" and before I finished talking, they hung up on me. So I called back and someone else answered. I was like "quit calling me. I know ur a scam" and the dude was like "oh my God, I walked all the way across the room to have someone b*tch at me! Good bye" and he hung up on me. So I just got off the phone with my local news channel to report them so that other people know its a scam. These people need stopped!

- IrisOMG!!!! These people having been contacting my partner giving her the same line of crap!! The scary thing is she was going to pay!!! I told her to hang up! I calmed her down by saying to her why would you give money for a debt you know you don't owe?! To people you don't know!!! I did research on this supposed law firm..[***]! It's a scam! Absolutely nothing they said made sense or added up. They wouldn't give a case number, threatened her with arrest, threatened to take her back to Washington state where this debt originated. We are now filing complaints to the Washington state attorney generals office, the better business bureau, and the federal trade commission. I advise everyone on here to do the same!! We need to shut this scam down!!!

- LL| 1 replyJust received a call from them at work and it was a recorded voice of a woman. Couldn't really understand her name, but she mentioned she was from the firm of Nichols and Grant. Said something about a bad check and that if I didn't call back within 3 days it could effect my bank account in a negative way. There are very few bills that I pay with checks anymore and I never write bad checks, so I don't know what the hell they are talking about. I don't and won't answer the phone. They told me to call them back at 877-829-5564. The number that came up on my caller ID was 855-215-4132. Just throwing a few more numbers out there for people to see.
