I kept receiving these calls with odd voice mails about being summoned for court and they would also go to my last place of employment.  Also note that they left the message pertaining about page 12 that I did not sign for or refused to sign for.  I am a full time student and mother of two who is home 24/7 so I know when my mail and/or ups is in.  I called the number to see what the fuss was and they knew my social sec. # and address and said I would need to pay $3200 to them for Best Buy and it was Obama's fault that now I would have a record with check fraud, theft, and receiving stolen goods.  My stomach is in knots that this John and Frank knew my info but would not allow payment by mail only by phone.  The numbers they used were 716-332-1659 and his "direct" number 716-362-2807.  I almost paid them until I started asking questions and stumbled upon this blog while on the phone with him. I played out the rest of the call as if I were too going to pay next week.  Who does one contact about this? Local police? I am worried about my identity!!!

Got a call regarding a court date and they needed a statement of some sort. Didn't say what it was for however.

Decided to check up on the name of Nichols and Grant and guess what!! I find this little forum so I am adding my voice to the mix here. Same guy - Tim Johnson. Said they sent me some packet in the mail which of course, I have never received. Very interesting.

My sleuth nose is wiggling at high speed. Thinking a nice hefty lawsuit for harrassment would be quite in order and maybe I can retire. Woohoo!!

Same thing happened to me today.  I live in Florida.  Tim's mouth was so nasty then hung up on me when I tried to get any info from him.  Said a package was delivered and needed to discuss it with me.  After reading all the previous comments I will be reporting to the Florida and New York attorney general's office. Also added them to the block list on my home phone and cell phone.

These are stupid scammers! I got a phone call from Frank Lewis today, he tried really hard to get me to pay $300 on my debit card. I played along, as he told me that they were sending out summons for court today. I explained to him that I not recieved anything in the mail, he stated they sent me something. I explained that he must be crazy and I wan't paying him anything. The number he called me from was 716-829-1783  Nicoles and Grant. This is a scam. Do not pay these people anything..  I checked into it, and they are not for real.

I googled "nikels & grant " and came to this forum similar to others. I started to get call from '1888-403-2059" and 877-829-5564 and all have in common. THEY SAY TEHY REPRESENT NOKLES & GRANT".
I asked them who they are looking for and EACH TIME they tells me a different person's name that they are looking for. I got really suspicious and went on online and typed the "1888-403-2059" and I was very surprised how many complaint was made for this number... and eventually came across "716-362-2812 Forum here".

Be worned, it seems like "Nikles & Grant" has multiple number!!!!!

anytime they say they are attorneys ask for their bar # number and state where they are a member of the bar association or licensed to practice law. Record all the calls and save any correspondence, right down their phone numbers and send ask what bank u can wire the money to so you can attatch their bank accounts for fdcpa violations. also check the nys department of corporations, delaware dept of corporations and nevada department of corporations for further ownership and see if you  locate an employer ein number  or federal tax id # so all of their assets and transactions can me analyzed and you can get paid when you win a lawsuit against them otherwise they will change their name and close up and reopen under another name and claim that the old company is out of business and insolvent  so you cant collect,
if they say they are attorneys get it on tape it is then a criminal offence.

They claim that Falzone & Associates is a Law Office.  However, it seems that Attorney Frank (S.) Falzone (NY Bar Number 1820169; admitted 1982) has his office elsewhere.  According to NY Appellate Division records, his office is here:

II.) This firm may also be known as the "Jason Evans Law Office".

Jason J. Evans, the principal, is also a NY Attorney (NY Bar Number 2891851, admitted 1998 and graduated from Albany Law School).  His offices are located, according to the records, at:

Hmmm...and where is this JDB located?  Williamsville, NY.  Probably just down the street.

III.) So now we have a problem:  Just which attorney is associated with this agency, if either one is?

And where is Attorney Falzone actually located?

In both cases, it's clear that neither one runs the JDB from their own office, a tactic "perfected" by CACH long ago (the "Rent-a-Lawyer" collection operation).

IV.) However, there is a lot of information out there; here's some of it:

1.)  ""QAR, Inc." and Quadrant are one and the same.  Quadrant is a JDB which specializes in "paper" few JDBs touch, such as OOS utility debt.  And payday loans.

They are located in the heart of scumbag collector country, upstate NY.

2.)  They claim to be a law firm specializing in asset recovery.  Again, note that neither attorney they claim to be associated with is located in their office.  Or even in the same building!  Atty. Falzone is not even located in Williamsville, as a matter of fact.

3.)  QAR claims to be a member of the ACA International.  They are nowhere to be seen in the ACA member rolls under any of their claimed names.

Neither are they licensed/bonded to collect where the law so requires from all reports;

4.)  Their collectors are reputed to be about as "bottom-of-the-barrel" as one can find, even in upstate NY:

The staff--who are reportedly allowed and even encouraged to use booze or other "mood altering" substances ON THE JOB--believe that polite and efficient "customer service" is for wimps. Here are some complaints which illustrate what they call "service":

I just called back to the number left on my voicemail (716-362-2812) and guess what they needed a case number. Hmmm no one gave me a case number and I don't have any paperwork to review page 12.

A guy named Tim Johnson at Nichols & Grant Firm left this phone number 716-362-2812 in my voice mail via 1-877-829-5564. I have NO IDEA what he was talking about. Something about the documents sending to my home or employer... I have an excellent credit history, no debt, and just got a house loan a few months ago, and started to receive some calls from this number. I am paying my mortgage without any problems so far. No clue what is all about. I have never called back this 1-877 number and/or 716-362-2812 because I simply think I don't need to.

I have been getting phone calls from this firm today finally they left me a name and number to call back.  I did call but I just hung up to hear how they would answer the phone and they say NICKELS & GRANT.  Supposedly papers were sent to my home or employer last week and they need to go over page 12 with me before i have to go to court which the dates are coming up soon.  They never said my name not once and they never told me what it was regarding.  The number they called from was (877) 829-5564 and the number Tim Johnson left was (716) 362-2812.  Yes i am in debt but fixing it at the moment so i have no clue what the hell this damn people are talking about.

Awesome I will be reporting them asap as i started receving calls and had no idea who they were and happened upon this site soooooo.  I knew something was wrong when it came up on the caller id as a NY number, knowing I had done no business in NY and would have no reason to be in a NY court.    So thank you very much for this info and I hope everybody files a report on these people (and I use that term people loosley).

My daughter received the same type of call today.  I called back and got into a heated discussion with the rep who would not give me his name.  He was very nasty; threatened to place a lien on my home; even knew my first name.  Now I'm really angry and will notify the NC AG tomorrow.  The number I called was 888-403-2059. On the caller ID it comes up with a number 1; when redialed the line is busy.  Glad I decided to do google search.  Thanks for the info.  Hope you become debt free soon.
