I didn't answer the other number that called me every morning at around 8:30 and now I get calls from this number 727-556-5492

Called me twice yesterday and this morning saying they are from Macy's credit services. I've checked my account with them and am not past due on payments. In fact my next due date isn't until Jan 7th. I've received calls from Ohio and Florida now....I'm guessing this is a scam.

People saying this is a scam, IT'S NOT. Just because they are calling you by mistake doesn't mean they are a scam. Maybe someone has taken oven your credit identity, or provided your phone number as theirs. It could even be a close family member so watch out. This is a REAL number from Macy's American Express and they will start calling you from this number and many others as soon as 2-3 days after missing one payment. When you get the Macy's Card, usually you have a credit line for the store, and a credit line with American Express for outside purchases. Just because you paid the balance in one doesn't mean you paid the other. They have different statements with different payment dates. You might already be months late in one of your credit lines. Maybe you enrolled in online statements and haven't been paying close attention to your emails. Don't pass this off as a scam. As time goes by you might find yourself in big financial trouble for ignoring this call or treating the phone representative in a discourteous manner.

Mt wife sent Macy's a letter telling them they had to cease calling once she notified them in writing
(Michigan law) !!
SO: they go to this ruse of having an offshoot company make the calls!!

I want to know who's  number this belongs to.

No one speaks when i answered it and i no longer answer when that number calls.I dont have a clue who it is because they never leave a voicemail.

P.S. I Do not own a Macys card if, accordning to most of these posts, it is indeed macys.

I got a call and i dont have any macy credit card

i get calls from this number and a bunch of ohio numbers that the comments all say its from Macys. Thing is, I dont have and never had a Macy's card, I dont shop there. This is truly annoying to keep getting calls from them

I've received numerous calls from this # in the past 2 weeks (they never leave a voicemail).  Thanks to this forum, it appears, this may be a scam using Macy's/Bloomingdale's as a front.
So, today they called me and left no message.
I called the # back - speaking to a man, who could barely speak English.  He mentioned that he worked with Macy's/Bloomingdale's and he was calling about a service.
He wanted my phone # and my SS # - I gave him my phone # but refused to give him my SS# (even last 4 of my SS# is a no no).  I told him that I've thought this was a scam and he shouldn't need my SS# to find out what service was being provided to me.
He then, promptly hung up!  LOL
SCAM!!!!!!!!

I have a CREDIT balance and received a call from this number saying I was past due. Thankfully my husband became suspicious when the person said they could take payment in full over the phone on the spot! I HATE SCAMMING AND PRAY THE SCAMMERS PAY FOR THEIR STEALING FROM INNOCENT PEOPLE.

Never had a Macy's Credit Card and NEVER WILL. Why these Congenital IDIOTS Keep calling me is a mystery. Unless you have an account refrain from answering these MORONS.

This company claimed to be Macy's and Bloomingdales but it is not worth the risk! I am an associate of Macy's, and on every one of their legitimate numbers they have you enter your account number on the keypad of your phone. They don't have you just tell the person you call. Don't give them your account number just in case!

I do not have a Macy's Credit Card, I think they are calling to sign people up!  Telemarketing. I think its a general billing number. If your late they could be calling you but those that don't have a Macy's card, could be solicited to get one.
