i called the number on my statement and macys told me it is fraudulent!! If macys calls you its a 1800 number every time. I called the 727 556 5492 back and he insisted he was macys and needed my account number. He also said they have a 1866 number. They are total fraud!
727 556 7300 also called me. scammers!

My call wasn't from Macy It was from a transmission company located in Florida I don't live in Florida and I haven't had any transmission problems

I've just started getting these "threatening" phone calls from, supposedly, Macy's.  I have already made the referenced payment, and called the store's 800 number to tell them this (and it wasn't LATE).  But still these robocalls keep coming!  I have Called ID, so just don't answer the phone, but I half expect somebody to show up at my door!!!

This is not a legitimate caller people. They are not Macy's or any other dept. store. They are con men.
The call type is NOT on the list. They are spamming to find gullible victims.
They're trying to feed on your fear or paranoia and uncertainty.
NEVER answer a phone call that you do not recognize.
NEVER answer a phone call EVER that is not on your phone or unexpected.
If you can't understand why you're being gullible and exactly the people they're fishing.
The reason why is because you're phone number is on a list or a robodial that is fishing for phone numbers to expoit and make you a victim. Don't let them make you the fool.
If you ever answer, you confirm the validity of your phone and are signing up to be a victim.

they call here repeatedly and hang up when I answer phone-------very annoying---calls at 830pm.........................

I have received 39 calls from 513 area code phone numbers in Mason, OH (513-573-8028, 513-754-9874, 513-573-8038, and 513-754-9841) the past week. Now they are calling from 727-556-5492 in St. Petersburg, FL as well. I have already had 3 calls today from both area codes. I get up to 6 calls a day, including weekends. I thought solicitors are not allowed to call on Sunday's, so I'm not sure what this is. The 513 #'s said it is for "Macy's/ Bloomingdales," but I have never missed a payment. Then the 727 # said it's for "Macy's Credit Operations." Even if you block the numbers, they will continue to call from another number. I hope someone knows how to get them to stop for good. Please help. Thank you!

P.S. I noticed the calls started a day after I stupidly tried signing up for tickets to a game show online. I will never do that again. They are a third-party scammer trying to get personal information.

The info above is helpful. And these people called four times on a Sunday. So that is not Macy's.  They probably would have sent an email and my payment is not late. I blocked the other number you spoke of but then they switched to this one. What I find scary is how do they know I have a Macy's account ?   I am going to contact Macy's directly and let them know this is going on. If you have an iPhone you can block calls directly on your phone.

Macy's is STILL calling me 6 times a day. I paid the entire bill a week ago & thought the calls would stop, but they are still calling. This is total harrassment. They should hire people in their credit collections department that know what they are doing. No need to call me anymore cause I will not be using the Macy' s card again!

Please let me know what they say when you call that phone number.  I been getting 7374465492 for a few days now.  No messege left on my voicemail. I don't attempt to call back.

Calls 4 to 5 times everyday, and then after several days from one number switches to a slightly different number. Needs to be reported to every better business bureau, ftc, do not call etc!!!!
This is not how legitimate businesses behave, and shouldn't be aloud to, and if they do they will and should be put out of business as they don't deserve anyones business. I wound up paying something to a number like this last month after being sooo harassed i couldn't stand it. Not sure where the money went. I asked to receive macy's paper statements as i can't get in online, and am not receiving any statements in the mail thus having to guess my amount. This is the 2nd time i asked.... And guess what.... Macys... Doubt it - of course never got any statement. So those of you who are saying pay your bill - you must be the ones calling - macy's treat your customers better if this is really you, and how about you doing what you say you are going to do, and then do it, and don't harass the hand that feeds you, otherwise you will go down for you can only do this for so long before it goes so viral and gives such a negative brand image that you won't be able to recover from - coming from a marketing analytics professional .... Bad business is bad business and people catch on quick and then it can spread like wildfire in the blink of an eye - and then your done for.

Keep getting calls from Macy's Bloom and MCCS both are the same. I just block them because scams are coming from over seas so the US Government has no control over them.

For those of you who don't have a Macy's account or don't owe them anything here is what I did. I kept getting calls from Macy's and I don't have nor ever had a Macy's account and don't shop there so I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The calls got stopped and I got a letter from Macy's Executive Office saying my number was entered in error and that I shouldn't receive anymore calls. Same thing. I confirmed with Macy's these are NOT their collection agencies. It's a scam.
