I just got a call from them too... telling that I've won a trip to the carabeen and to press 9...i thought it was a fraud so I hung up !! I cam on internet to make sure and i found that forum ... i'm proud i didn't press 9 ...

Did somebody try to denounce ? I don't even know where to call ...

I've just got the call too... When I heard that, I realized it was a fraud... Luckily I haven't pressed that 9 button... I searched on the web to see if it was a frequent received call, and it was!!!

It seems to be that they're now calling the Quebec phone list, cuz' I'm in the Quebec Province too...

I have received numerous calls from no. 1-727-831-2410.  I do not answer their calls. If anyone knows how to get them to stop these harrassing calls please advise.

What is the scam part of this? If they can get your credit card number, they just steal from it?

This number just called me and I did not pick up the phone in time.  Caller never left a messge and when I tried calling back the number, the number was not in service.

I just received a call from Jason O'Neill.  He said he was with Travel World and I had won an all expenses paid trip to Florida and Disneyworld for 2 weeks.  I was immediately suspicious as I live in Australia.  I asked for a website to check and he gave me 4vacation.net.  He was also very interested in what type of credit card I used!  Thanks to google I was able to read about others in the same situation.  I hung up and he actually called back.  I wont be pushing #9 again!!

I also received a call from somebody who said that I had won a trip for 4 to Florida and a cruise to the Bahamas, but became suspicious when he wanted me to accept the invitation NOW by providing my credit card details. I was given the 4vacation.net web-site and a 1800 069385 phone number that I could call. i also come from Australia. I also wont be pushing "9" again.

Im in Canada, and Ive been getting this call daily (727-831-2410) for over a month now. Today I hit 9 today hoping to get to a person who could take me off the calling list. I was disconnected after a few seconds. Called Telus, who assured me I would not incur any charges on my phone bill, and that they have heard of this number/call many times before. Very nice lady gave me a website (for Canadians) www.the-cma.org, and on the right menu, you can click 'Do not contact service', then hit 'Registration Instructions' at the bottom of the first paragraph. Fill out the form that comes up, and this should not only help protect you from telemarketers and scams, but also from getting all that junk mail in your mail box. Hope this helps!

Received a call at 11 a.m. on Sept 12th from Angela Brooks who works for Escape Company in Orlando, Florida (as she said.... ???) to tell me that I had won a 2-wk Caribbean trip for 4.  Sounded too good to be true so when it came to give my visa card no., asked for their e-mail address and found out by reading comments that this was a real scam.  Others, please be aware.

We have new law coming in effect in Ontario for the creation of a NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST (with consequences) and I just got a call from this number.  Have been getting lots of weird stuff lately even though I am registered on Canadian Marketing Association Do Not Contact List.  Soon we will be able to send the Feds after them...FINALLY!!!  Let's just hope they get some really hefty fines!  I think they should treat it like criminal harrassment and because it is then criminal, confiscate everthing they have!

Just got a call this morning. They have been calling all summer. Hit 9 to tell them to take us off their calling list. The guy told off my boyfriend and then hung up. Called Bell and they said the only person who can help is the Better Business Bureau. She said when you hit 9 they can charge long distance calls onto your phone bill only if you have a long distance calling plan, which we don't thanks goodness.

Received a call the answering machine answered,no message was left, so I hit *69 it was 727-831-2410 and I live in Manitoba Canada

727-831-2410 called. There was a fake message saying my credit card balance was high. I pressed 9, she tried to get me to go to a vaction to flordia. I said i did not want it she hung up on me. I called the number back to get off the list and my phone was hooked into a dialer which dialed other people. Hanging up would not work. I called my cable company because I have voip and they had to reset the line.

The same thing happened to me about a month ago when I called to ask them to remove me from the list. Very rude. I just got another call from them today.

It's still going around.

Yeah, I just got a call from 727-831-2410.  I didn't pick it up, so they left a hang up on my machine.
