- Celine replies to Winnipeg, ManitobaI made the mistake of saying yes and then NO... but it seems that they do not understand the meaning of the word NO. I called VISA, and the representative said that it was a reputable company.... my foot. I researched the WEB and found that the whole thing stinks like a very rotten old fish. I sent an email to the police department of investigation of New Port Richey regarding this company in the hope that they will their darn best to put a stop to it. By the way,the address they were using to send their promotion package... happens to be a nail salon. From the comments on this page, this has been going on for quite some time. Unlike you I lost my cool and I made the mistake of not asking their names.
records@ci.zephyrhills.fl.us - cf45 replies to AustralianOh why didn't I see this before.... now I'm doing my best to recuperate my money and also to see if the police from New Port Richey, Florida can stop these people.
Must admit I was unaware that they had another website "mygrand vacations.com" I was only aware of 4vacation.net

- hivolume| 7 repliesI'm also located in Quebec, Canada. Note that a popular Quebec City newspaper wrote an article on these guys and their frauding techniques.
I complained with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) or West Florida. They were so far efficient in their handling of this matter. The company (4vacation.net) responded and the BBB gave me this contact
Contact Name and Title: celena - adm asst
Contact Phone: 727-853-7878
Took the BBB only 2 weeks to get a response from them. I've been unsuccessful in speaking with the above person though.- Caller: 4vacation.net

- ling replies to cghthe SAME thing happened to me!
But I called visa and he cancelled my card, so I'm not sure if the charges were cancelled as well because he told me that this was most likely a scam. - Ling replies to hivolumeWell, I was stupid enough to fall for this scam and right after I hung up with that FRAUD company, I called visa to cancel my card. They did it for me, but the charges are still on my new credit card they are sending to me. Do you think there is any way I can get those charges off of my visa bill?!
- meilina yo replies to Maria Lira BarachoHi, i also got the call from travel world this morning... did they take your money from your american express?

had anybody got something from this 4vacation.net ? - Burnt replies to KB Australia| 1 replyyes, there is a sucker born every minute.I was having a really bad day and somehow got talked into this.Ive never done anything like this before but- did.Yes,they did actually send me the package with everything in it they claimed.I sent it all back along with a letter Quoting their "30 day full refund policy".As my credit card had already been billed,I called to let them know of the situation.Unfortunatly, the company had already been paid.I have tried several times to contact them through the phone #s provided as well as E-mail with no luck. They havent yet contacted me nor credited my M/C.My CC company agreed to file a claim against this Vacation Promotions company, however I'm still liable to pay unless they are more successful than I was contacting anybody.Wish me luck as I'm sure I'll need all I can get!!! - Lyza Macor replies to Burnt_updated!| 2 repliesI too am trying to get my $500 back from this company. It has been over 60 days now and no refund despite following all of the outlined return requirements and yes, being assured by Brittany that the refund was being processed. I believe this is a scam and will be taking it to the BBB for further action.
- Steph.| 1 replyI CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!
Me and my mum just got sucked in for that holiday to florida, daytona and bahama's vacation.
While my mum was on the phone I looked on the net to find out if it was a scam and but I didn't find this site.
The man on the phone said to me: "if I was trying to scam you then why am I still on the phone with you, I would of hung up straight away after getting your credit card details"
What an [***]!
He fully sucked me in.
But then I kept searching for more scam article's and finally found some that mentioned 4vacation.net and now it all makes sence!
Thank God that there's no money in the credit card HAHAHA sucked in!
Now we have learnt never to accept calls from strangers ;) - sassyToday I received the whole scam: 4 day 3 night Orlando; 3 day 2 night Daytona Beach; 3 day 2 night cruise on Imperial Majesty, for the price of 2 days of Disney tickets. 20% of the money to go to charity for children's rights.
The girl who identified herself as Kristen employee ID 49 (she even spelled her name for me to write down) continued to be very cutsey & friendly eventhough I asked her question after question to try to reveal if this was legitimate or not... she knew her stuff well, though she messed up when I asked "who is the fundraiser behind the children's charity" she said I could find the info at www.stopchildabuse.com. When I asked if I could have the telephone # of the Florida better business bureau (or whatever they would call it there) she handed the telephone over to a more pushy man who called himself: "Chuckly Lear"... who went through all the same details with me, but now started using tactics like: "if you don't trust us, just hang up"... I should have followed his advice, but he wanted me to psychologically do the opposite, and idiot that I am, it worked. I spilled my credit card info. I was than transfered to their "accounting" department to verify my #, and the phone cut off. Really concerned, I phoned back (800) 684-2058 (# listed on their website)and they apolized for getting cut off (thunderstorms in the area etc, was their excuse) and proceeded to verify my credit card info with me. Of course through this all I kept thinking: I'm stupid, I'm stupid, this is what other people do that our suckers... why did I get sucked in?? But they're scammers.. that's what their good at.
A few minutes later I phoned their "reservations" #1-800-684-2058 and I explained that I wanted to cancel with them, they gave me this # 727-491-3802 which I phoned and got a message machine. I did get through the 2nd time to a man who said he would ask the sales dept to call me back so that the paper work could be stopped. Regardless of this questionable promise I kept phoning the reservations line to bug them. "Sarah Starbird" (they could have picked their names better) explained that somebody would phone me back as already promised... they did, Amy did phone back to ask why I was cancelling, I told her that www.stopchildabuse.com was a website under construction and didn't check out... without a beat she said you were given the wrong website, it is http://www.preventchildabusenow.org/ (which does exist, but looks very cheesy), after I pushed a bit she promised that they would reverse the amount on my credit card... I hoped rather than believed them at this point. I also got this other telephone# out of them: ; 800-836-6375.
I phoned my credit card company and cancelled by card, but the amount of $398 US had gone through (it would have been $498 but Chuckley waived his commission... how nice of him, wasn't it)
My next step is to phone customer service & ask for the disputes manager & ask to contest the transaction.
Apparently my credit card has a guarantee, so either way, the money will not come out of my pocket thankfully. My bank takes the loss.- Caller: Vacation Promotions,www.4yourgetaway.com
