Just got a call.I hung up after "Congratulations..." I do not listen to these calls.But I do answer.I find if I don't they call even more!
We are in New Brunswick.

J'ai reçu le même coup de téléphone à 5:23pm. Je n'ai pas répondu, mais ça m'intriguait puisque j'ai un ami qui est parti pour South Lake City hier soir. J'ai essayer de rappeler, mais sa dit qu'on ne peut pas composer le numéro. J'ai donc fait une recherche sur le net et me voilà ici! Par chance que je n'ai pas répondu!

I received the same phone call in 5:23pm. I did not answer, but that intrigued me because I have a friend who left for South Lake City yesterday evening. I have to try to call back, but its said that we cannot compose the number. I thus made a research on the net and I'm here now! Luckily that I did not answer!

call came in at 1223pm, told me I won a trip, and like a dope I pressed #9, heard some elevator music, then mechanical noise like lines switching, then phone disconnected.... I immediatly checked the internet, found it was possibly a scam, then called my service provider and told them the details (aliant in New Brunswick, Canada) the operator felt that I wouldnt have a problem with pressing #9, apparently this is more detrimental to business phone lines not residential ones, and she made a note on the account that I called and informed them of what had happened.... sheeeesh! I wasted a full hour just answering the d**m phone!!!!

Note: 1-727-831-2410 was what came up on the phone that had a display (not the one I used to answer the call...)

Just got a call as well, recognized the number, and ignored it, lucky for me, they haven't been too persistant! I am in Windsor, ON, Canada, and my service provider is Cogeco.

South shore Montreal, My wife answered, same Msg, She pressed " 9 " and line hung-up. I'm not so proud of her !lol !

Same thing ...... pressed the 9 and got the whole caboodle about the free trip or if I provided my card details a trip 2 + 2 free would only be SAm 599.00 hallo ..........!! eventually I argued with the guy over semantics that I had to tell him that I did not want a trip to America ............
A Mr Dan Wilson and a Mr Thomas refer to website www.4vacation.net.  Have a look at it we got far better vacation offers in Australia, Queensland ........ What ever you do don't talk to them, just put the phone down ........ Ciao Joop

Je suis du Canada (Québec en Estrie), on m'a appelé cinq fois depuis mai 2007.La première voix enrégistrée qui parle est celle d'une femme.J'écoute et leur demande en français de s'identifier et aussi à qui ils veullent parler.Je ne reçoit aucune réponse.Après quelques secondes, la ligne se raccroche.Le message est toujours le même,en anglais et nous annonce que nous avons gagné un voyage....

We've had that call a number of times and have actually taken them up on their offer, both in Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. The price is right and they are not too pushy on the sales pitch. I go to Vegas quite a bit and they also had 2 free nights there as well. They continue to call this number - just did today so I guess they want us back. Ha!

Du Québec, Canada: Ma soeur a reçu un appel de ce numéro et ayant un aficheur, elle a choisi de ne pas s'en occuper. Au deuxième appel, on lui annonçait qu'elle avait gagné un voyage (en anglais) et elle a raccroché et m'a demandé de faire une recherche... Une belle façon d'essayer d'attrapper les gens à acheter du "tempsharing"...
From Quebec, Canada: My sister received a call from this number but having a caller ID, she chose to ignore it. At the second call, she was told that she had won a trip (the call was in English and she is French. She hung up and asked me to make a search... Nice way to try to get people into buying timesharing...

I just tried calling back, I get operator telling me I can't connect.  I guess they screen there calls to now!
I did not answer as I know no one from that area code.

Also in Fredericton, NB - received a call at 10:45AM. They left no message. (I also screen my calls for that very purpose!)

“Congratulations you just won a free trip to the Caribeans!” Recorded message of course. I hung up immediately.No  “Hi, are you...?” nothing. Some months ago I did receive a call I traced back to Clearwater, Florida also but to my recollection, it was a different number.

DO you know if the Florida State Police were informed or are following up on what looks like a scam?

I'm in Vancouver -- I wonder if they're targetting Canadians?  Typical robot dialer with the pre-recorded "Congratulations" message.

Get the same call periodically.  Offers a cruise, all I have to do is press 9.  I understood computer generated calls were illegal, but I'm guessing there is diddly CRTC can do about US scam artists?

j'ai recu ce matin un appel de ce numero quand j'ai repondu le message enrigistre disait que je venais de gagner un voyage au caraibe, desole mais je ne crois pas a ce genre de chose la j'ai tout de suite recroche, je me suis mis a verifier sur le net avec ce numero et je vois que j'ai bien fait..merci a tous.

fait attention on est en 2007...les fraudeur on plus de facilite a le faire avec l'internet..

attention aussi des offre d'achat de vos chose qui sont a vendre sur le net..je me suis fait courtiser pour l'achat de ma moto par une personne de la cote d'ivoire..je me suis informer et wester union m'a confirmer de la fraude...
