Received a call from this number just today.  Didn't bother to pick it up.  Didn't recognize the number.  Answering machine activated.  Busy signal.  Looked it up on Google search.  Got these warnings.

This number has called me 8 times today!  How do I get them to leave me alone?

I hope you receive my message, you know I receive a call from these people and they told me the same thing, I just want to know if it's true or not because the people that I talk to they were not really nice and they didn't want to give me more information about it and they take my money from my credit card.

had a hang up today from this number.  googled it to this site.  realized I've received a number of messages about winning something which I delete before I listen to the complete message.  I'm going to try the trick suggested [on page 14?] to repeatedly press # in order to confuse their autodialler.  Good luck to all of us.   Niagara Falls, ON

J'ai tout simplement raccroché puisque je me suis souvenue d'une émission dans le genre de la facture oèu des gens racontaient s'être fait avoir avec ce genre d'appel. Si tu presses le 9 tu te ramasses avec une facture d'interrurbain assez salée. Donc restons aux aguets...et dites-vous que si vous gagnez un voyage...et que c'est un message enregustré qui vous appel...y a anguille sous roche!

same guys called me twice today, then phone number Unknown, but my phone registered the number 1-727-831-2410. they wait ans say nothing.
This is not the first time, the guys are calling on a regular basis, leaving no messages and do not answer immediately.
I ususally have at the end of the day 5-5 such calles. I hate it, but it looks there is no way to stop it, probabaly changing the phone number and unlist it will help.

This IS a scam because they lie to you. I was told of the same package including a free cruise. Sounded good, I gave my credit card, then they told me AFTER I had paid for 4 mini-vacations, that for the cruise alone there is a $199/person port fee, $40 fuel surcharge, tips are NOT included.
I recorded my conversation of the original offer and asked if the cruise was totally free, and I could go with $1 in my pocket and be okay and they said yes. Don't give them your credit card number because now they can't tell me how long it will take for a refund.

Hey, I got a similar phone call made to my home number in the middle of the day. I could not verify the number they were calling from. First a recorded message saying I had won a prize played and instructed me to dial 9 to talk to an operator. I talked to a lady (well spoken english but indian underaccent) who explained I had won a prize to Florida to stay in hotels etc. She gave me the website www.4vacation.net to look at. It was a very good indetail website with privacy policy and terms and conditions. To verify my acceptance of the promotion I was transferred to a man (well spoken english with indian underaccent). He was very confident and explained the whole 'promotion' in full and what I was eligble for. He answered all my questions very well. I queried him many times about the terms and conditions, gave him 'what-if' scenarios which he answered well and got all contact information from him. He said his customer support number was 1800 069 385 and email was info@mygrandvacations.com. I rang the number with my mobile and it was a voice recorded 'out of business hours' message which went to voicemail. The email address provided (info@mygrandvacations.com) did not match the Customer Service email (cc@4vacation.net) of the website. I asked if his company had any other business websites and he said no. www.mygrandvacations.com which forwards to gv.yourgetaway.com is a suspicious site with similar contact information on it. The man continually asked for my credit card details over the phone, which I persistently dodged. I asked him more questions about the process, what I get in the mail and in my email, how I book and confirm, any other fees and charges I have to pay and the information he provided me was very believable and all within the information provided on the site. He knew the names of the hotels and cruises and the packages offered back to front! He also was able to tell me exactly what company he worked for, how it was in Florida and quoted (probably bogus) business numbers and the laws this promotion was in line with (like ecommerce laws). He was very prepared! He saied after I gave him my credit card details I would go to his legal verification department who will verify my details and send me my package. Finally when I said I had no intention of providing my details over the phone he asked if I was sure I wanted to turn down this exiting promotion. Then he got very angry and dirty and started swearing and insulting me telling me how I was @#$%ing stupid for turning this down and I had wasted over an hour on the phone which would be charged as a long distance phone call and I should hang up now as i was a @#$%head.

I'm glad, because when I told him I wasn't giving him my details he started abusing me and explained I wasted my money on long distance phone calls. I'll wait to see what my phone bill is, but atleast I dodged the main bullet :S

I live in Australia and got a call saying I could have a trip for 4 people for 3days/4nights in Orlando with 2 free theme park tickets, and 2days/3nights at a beach area of my choice in Florida, and then a free 2 night cruise.  Plus 4 days, 3 nights in either Las Vegas or New mexico. Also, I would have to do a 90 minute walk-through for a time share/condo pitch.  All in all, it didn't sound like a bad deal -  all I had to do was pay A$600 on my Visa and then they would send me the info via email and brochures.  I was (supposedly) speaking to Mark Schneider from Vacation Promotions who gave me the web address www.4vacation.net and the phone number 0422 32 97 65. I asked him to call back in 30 minutes so my husband and I could discuss it (actually so we could check out website etc)but he never did. Has anyone actually paid the money and got anything?

Received call from foreign sounding man claiming to be from company called Vacation Promotions and claiming that I had been selected to receive a holiday to Florida / Disney World and a cruise to the Bahama's for an 80% discounted rate. Something insane like $500!!
He quotes the following website: www.4vacation.net and phone number 1800 069 385 which may actually be a legitimate reservations line in Florida. He also mentions that the promotion is through Travel World, however Travel World will immediately scream at you NOT to provide them your credit card details. THIS IS A SCAM and Travel World has nothing to do with it. DONT GET CAUGHT OUT!!

Automated system, press 9 for free vacations.  Spoke to agent, and unfortunately gave credit card info.  

Called VISA and cancelled card, got charged 623.00 within 10 minutes of the initial call.  Visa said they could do nothing about it.  TOO Bad !!!

Just got the same call.Good thing I wanted to check out the site...here I am glad I didn't bite.
