- BethThese people call me all the time. I have caller ID, so I never pick up (the joke is on them; they are wasting their time with me as I will NEVER pick up). I have gone to their website and requested that they do not call me. Let's see if they live by it.

- CA-SandI received a call from this number on my cell phone today. I contacted the number from a private landline and retrieved their e-mail address www.marketstrategies.com. Selected the “Contact Us” tab and then selected the "Do not contact" tab. You can request to be removed from their call list. It will request for your name, e-mail address, and phone number. I entered "Private" under the required fields and a fake e-mail address. I did give them the correct cell phone number, being that they already have this information and left a comment stating that I want my number removed from their call list. After I submitted my request this is what I received as confirmation……
Thank you. Your request has been sent.
Please allow 3 business days for your request to be fully processed and your contact information to be removed from our lists. - Jason| 6 repliesI work at a market research company and these are the most ridiculous comments. So you were called four times and didn't pick up the phone and want the calls to stop? Well... pick up the damn phone and say so. Oh, did I call you while you were eating dinner? I'm sorry, I forgot 6:00pm was our national dinner hour. And wait... it's sunday... the lord's day? How silly of me... I didn't notice that all the stores and offices were shut down because apparently nobody should be working on sundays. If I had known that by paying for a service I could get rid of all annoyances, I would've called up my cable company and have them shut off all the commercials long ago. While we're at it, since we're all paying for electricity, there should be a ban on power outages as well, cause that's just annoying. If you want your voicebox to be filled with people saying "We're calling to do a survey, I can help you with that. Better yet, let me just leave one for you now. Next time you get mad that a survey company didn't leave a message, just assume this was left.
(Answering Machine Beep): Hello, we're calling you in regards to a survey we're conducting. If I left our number and you tried to call us back to do the survey, we won't be able to help you. Unfortunately, we do call a couple hundred / thousand people per day and if you were to call here, we'd have to shift through dozens of projects with thousands of numbers each to try and find which survey we tried calling you about to begin with. I realize that you think we should immediately know why we called because we do have your number, but unfortunately you're just one of thousands of people we talk to and YOU JUST AREN'T THAT IMPORTANT. Thank you for your time.- Caller: Marketing Strategies

- TeleMaster replies to JasonOn there web sight you have to give them your, name, address, and e-mail. I wouldn't do that. Just answer there call, and tell them to remove your phone number from there list or in other words put you number on there do not call list.

- Peeko replies to Help these poor people| 2 repliesI use telemarketers' contact info all the time when filling out online forms. In fact, Patricia and the other losers who've commented here are gonna get signed up for some free online offers today! After all, I'm not selling anything to you, so the law doesn't apply. :)
When the free condoms and adult diapers show up at work with your name on them, you'll know Peeko sent them with love.
And tell your receptionist at corporate that I feel her/his pain- having to answer dozens of telemarketing calls every day because you can't NOT answer the phone indeed cuts into work productivity. But now that you guys have explained so clearly that I should just shut up and take it...perhaps you could relay that sage advice to him/her. - Peeko replies to Not Old Enough for Medicare Thank You| 3 repliesI finally took their call since it was obvious they weren't going to stop calling our office until I did. They had my name, and wanted me to complete their survey about shipping. I asked who contracted them to do the survey and she refused to identify them, saying it was for "all of the shipping companies". Pfft. Also, some of the questions were out of line, like asking how much our company spent on shipping last year. I refused to answer those questions.
At the end of the survey, she made an offer to participate in a more detailed survey online in exchange for a $35 gift certificate, good at over 300 online retailers. I declined.
Something fishy about this, but we'll see. If I start getting slammed with telemarketing from freight companies, I will know who to seek recourse from. The caller was adamant they would not sell my name and number to other companies. - Teresa| 2 repliesOverall, getting "survey" calls are very annoying and most people do not want to take the time to answer a bunch of questions to strangers over the phone - and it doesn't matter WHO you are or what company you represent. If we ask to be removed from the calling list, respect our request and remove our number and DO NOT CALL AGAIN! If we hang up on you, you deserve it, plain and simple - and take that response as DO NOT CALL AGAIN!!

- Candice replies to JasonI hope I never talk to you over the phone - sounds like the job has gotten the best of you - take a mental health day or better yet, see the shrink!!
- lyn replies to Patricia KelleyI'm sorry, but I am the one that is paying the phone bill. It is in my house for my convenience not yours. I don't feel all that obligated to be polite to someone I don't know interupting me.x9b8

- Princessarkywell if this is the federal government doing surveys I suggest they offer to pay me if they want to get my opinion after all they seem to be handing money out to everyone else all the time.

- Reply to Teresa replies to TeresaVery well phrased. What makes the survey people, telemarkers, politicians, and charities so special they have a "right" to disturb people and then get upset with us if we object to the call after call after call?
By the way, you are not required to tell the truth on these surveys! Try giving answers that are totally inconsistent. For example , on the subject of oil:
Q. Is the price of oil too high at $50.00 a barrel? A. Yes
Q. What price do you think it should be at? A. $175.00 a barrel
Q. Do oil companies make too much money? A. Yes
Q. Should oil companies income be restricted? A. No
Q. If gasoline were not available, how would you get around? A. Drive my diesel truck.
They don't want to talk to you if you mess up their survey and you will be put on their DNC list. It's kind of silly but it is fun and entertaining.
For all those callers who will be writing in about getting abused by us on the phone because it is just their job, then don't call and you won't get abused. - PHWaste their time! Waste as much of their time as possible.
When you think they are almost done with the survey tell them 'someone is at the door' and ask them to hold on. Lay the phone down and see how much patience they have.
If they call back, repeat as needed.- Caller: Marketing Strategies

- kathyI wouldn't mind so much if the call wasn't made so late! I decide when it's ok to call my home and when it's not and 8:58 pm is too late when I have children I'm trying to put to bed. I went to the site and requested to be removed. Thanks so much for the info. Sure these people need jobs but they should call people that want to do survery's or actually have time to do survery's on the phone. In the future, I just might let them chat with my 4 year old when they call. :)

- I called them back... replies to Brenda| 1 reply28 times.
They called me at 9:38 PM, my family was already in bed and their call was quite unsolicited and unwelcome.
Since I have extra airtime, I hit the call back button 28 times. It takes 26 seconds for the entire response to complete and for them to hang back up on me.
I don't like unsolicited calls. I don't appreciate being interrupted at bed time. And I don't like being manipulated to pointing my browser to their website and take a risk of having them drop a tracking cookie on my computer or something. - steve replies to Brendathanks for the info
