These people phished me yesterday.They said my number was selected and won a 5,000 shopping spree...They suckered me by tricking me into giving them all my info by asking me to verify myself to make sure I was the right person....what should I do now?

Wastes my cell phone minutes with recorded telemarketer claiming to offer big money opportunities.

After that annoying call & conversation I get a call that identifies as 757-990-8981. They say clearly (because it's automated) that they are calling from GCI Savings Club. The voice says if you want speak with a representative (or something to that effect) press "1".  I did and it was silent for some time before the automated voice came on and said that (basically) what I was trying to do I wasn't able to at the time then auto hang up. If I get one more call I will find their information on bbb.

[5 minutes before this call:
I just got a call from a number that I could not identify from the screen on my phone at work.  I asked for the number and the guy said 888-350-3113. I don't know if this is the right number becuase the connection was not a good one.  It sounded like the dude (w/an east indian access) was under water.  I asked how he got my number and he kept acting like he couldn't hear me.  Not sure if the company name is what the man said since the entire conversation was hard to follow.  Also, supposively the location where he was calling from was Texas. I shouldn't have gotten a call like that at work.
After asking for the number of the company, I requested that they take my number off of their list.  The man asked why did you ask for the number and I told him I wanted it in case they chose to call me again. He said he would take my number off their list. Hopefully they will NOT call me at work or on my personal line.

Today about 3 pm I got a call from cardholder services and I pushed 1 and asked for a supervisor I got some guy who started complaining about his back and his wife and when I asked what the hell he was talking about he said that I had called "to LISTEN to complaints hadn't I???" When I said that I had wanted to talk to a supervisor so I could send them money he laughed and said "no one sends them money they have to steal it" His name was Joe and he then hung up on me laughing the whole time. Next time (since I get these calls at least 3-4 times a week) I am going to string them along as far as I can with fake credit card numbers and fake addresses and names. see how long it takes me to piss someone off. LOL

Called and didn't leave a message. Getting sick of these people having nothing better to do then harass others. Get a real job people, it can't be fun day after day getting one hang up after another. Or maybe it can?

If you call this number from a blocked number it tells you, your number anyway.  There are lots of complaints about this number if you do a google search. Call the federal trade comission at 1-800-582-0655 to file a complaint. They will only investigate if they get enough complaints.

ANswerd the phone and someone on the other end said my mistake and hung up this was at about 1030pm

I called the number back and it repeated my phone # back and said it was removed

not only are they a telemarketer, but if you are nice enough to answer to have them remove you from their call list, they hang up on you!

As you everyone knows we don't like these calls they are annoying. Answer the call and be silent let them waste their money on calling you or have a "bull horn or whistle" by your phone and blast them ..then they won't be calling you,they will being needing a doctor for their hearing loss lmao or say this is an emergency line why are you calling this number your holding up the line please hang up .. or when they call say oh please hold im the other line and leave them hanging lmao this whole operation of these solicitors is a joke and getting out of hand and no matter what we do register DNC list. well you have to update that constantly this really stinks ..do what I do I just laugh it off and its better to laugh then scream or get frustrated

Called with an 'urgent' message about my credit card account.

get called from this number almost daily at work - after a few minutes of crappy hold music, they hang up

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day.  It is an automated message saying "If you would like to make $500.00-$1,000.00 a day please press 1, we only call once so if you want to make $500.00 to $1,000.00 a day press 1."  It repeats and repeats they call my cell phone and it is listed on the National Do Not Call List.  How can they get away with this?

Automated message claiming that they were "Cardholder Services" trying to lower my interest rate on a credit card or something. I hit 1 to speak to a rep, as soon as he answered he asked how I was doing and I started to say "I'd like you to remove my number-" and then he hung the phone up immediately.

i got a call from this number and i pressed 1 to talk to a live operator. as soon as i started to talk a "person" named jim got very very rude when i told him to remove me from his call list. he said he doesn't have a call list and hung up on me.i wonder where they get these losers from.

They call often and don't say a thing...

We have received dozens of phone calls on our business 800 line from people who were called by 757-990-8981 and told to call our 800 # regarding overextended credit cards.  We have had to disconnect our 800 # in order to make it stop.

Rude woman called & spoke to wife. Women said last time we will call to lower your intrest rate on your credit card. Then a recording came on and my wife handed me the telephone and an Indian sounding man told me he was with "Credit Card Services" and wanted to lower my intrest rates. It is a huge scam as they rattled off all the big name card companies they could lower your intrest with. I told him I did not have a card with those companies and he hung up. Called the # back (using *67) and a garbled recording stated my telephone # and then I hung up. I did not want to get caught up in some overseas type telephone scam. The found this site quickly on the internet. Why can's people find "HONEST" work?
