Check Protection Services called my friend and called her a [***] when she said she didn't write bad checks. I don't care if you did borrow money from a predatory lender, and if you paid it back......check protection services has no business calling, harassing you...they need to be arrested. They have been calling a friend of mine and terrorizing her and she keeps trying to get them to give her their address so she can send them proof that she paid the measly 200 back that she borrowed from Solomon finance but they refuse to give her their address.  What company doesn't want you to know their address, they are liars and very up to no good.... I'm tired of them messing with my friend everyday. She is very upset and broke out in hives and can't deal with them so I began researching them and found out they are thieves and this is how they make money by running scams on innocent people....They are predators...I have recorded them screaming and bitching at my friend, calling her [***] etc. They can't do that....They are cowards. They don't want proof, they just want you to rush them money. Who the hell do they think they are terrorizing innocent people......

I got the same call from the same number but the guy used the name Dan Largo at ext. 111. He told me I needed to take care of a bad check I had written..I am waiting for him to call again, so I can record him and then take him to court for his threats. He assumed I was afraid of him because he was screaming at me and I said nothing....I am not afraid, I have all under control. Call me Dan

Marauder and owner Ryon Gambill are desperate to collect money. Gambill now owes more than a million dollars on defaulted judgments, lost his 'Debt Collector in a Box' program to those he owes money to and is in deep financial trouble. He recently became a father and may not stay out of jail long enough to see her grow up. The Recipe for Stopping Ryon Gambill and His Crooked Companies

Ryon Gambill has made his living as a shady debt collector. He operates under various company names: Marauder Corporation, Bill Collector in a Box, Nationwide Capital Recovery, National Capital Recovery, Collection Professional Services, Check Protection Systems and so on.

He invents debts based on information he obtains from Experian or he tries to collect debts he does not own.

Do NOT be intimidated by his threats! The only person he ever sued was consumer advocate Bud Hibbs and Gambill lost that case. He however gets sued all the time. He never wins, he either settles or just ignores the case and then a default gets entered against him.

DO NOT PAY HIM. MAKE HIM PROVE THAT YOU OWE THE MONEY. HE CANNOT DO THIS.

Here’s what you do to stop him.

First, if you think he has access to your Experian credit file, write to Experian and complain. send a certified letter to:

Experian loses a lot of money in lawsuits from Gambill. They are also under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission for why they continue to sell Gambill access to credit files.

Second, if he has demanded that you pay through Western Union, send a certified letter to Western Union complaining about it. You will need to give Western Union the “payment code” he wanted to use. He usually uses code “ENFORCE” but he may have others. As with Experian, you’ll need to send it as a certified letter:

Third, send Gambill two letters. The first is a CEASE AND DESIST letter, you can find samples on the Internet. The second is a DEBT VALIDATION letter, you can also find samples of that on the Internet.

Sixth and last, go to your local police and file a complaint against him. Gambill has a criminal record and there are outstanding warrants against him. Tell the police what he did to you. He does things like harassment, threatens to send people to jail, threatens to come and take property and so on.

But he WILL stop harassing you and eventually he will be shut down.

Check Protection Services, leaves messages calling themself CPS. They have a another name CHeck Collection Services in which they will send you an e-mail claiming you owe them money and they are collecting on a bad check............Now don't ask for any additional information or they get really angry. They cuss and threaten you if you ask for their address.  I was talking to a guy from CPS that called himself John Largo and I simply asked for his address and he became very cruel and hateful then threatened to garnish my wages---which is illegal and he cannot do......He told me I had written bad checks and I had not........Where he got his WRONG information is beyond me, but he was so hateful and screaming at me and never gave me any information as to whom and when I wrote bad checks......I knew I hadn't but after his irate phone call, I check my bank account and called my bank representative. I have never written a bad check, they said he was a scammer.

Taylor Hicks is just one of the famous names they used. They also use Julia Roberts, Bob Hope, etc. They are con artists. Tell them to send you verification that you owe them money, I know that cannot, also be aware of your rights.

CPS IS really a debt collection agency but they are as crooked as they come....Don't believe anything they say. If you owe a debt, don't pay them, pay the original creditor......now if you don't listen to me then after you pay CPS, they will call you again in a few months and start the harassment all over again......Best thing to do is pay your original creditor, get a statement of 0 balance from them and send it to CPS with a cease & desist letter.

have less than a thousand of debt,with no outstanding bills, so of course I know theyre scammin g.
Contact you atty generals office online and file a complaint with as much info that u can give them-names, phone # and what they want.  They contact these con artists by mail and u can also get
a copy of the letter they send them.  (in Ca.)  Hope this helps......

I recently got a call from them to. CPS- Check protection services. They may be an legit comapany, I am not sure?? They claimed that in 2004 I had gotten a payday advance that I still owe on, and that if I don't start making payments, their client will proceed... They gave me accurate information but i am still a lilttle suspicious...

My mother told me she got a voicemail message from Nick at CPS saying to call 760-423-1100 with some case number which I forgot. She has been using my phone and they were looking for myself. Knowing it was some debt collector, I tried telling them the number they called was no longer mine and was being used by someone else. His caller ID showed my name and number, he then said If I was smart I would pay but didn't mention any amount or to whom it was owed to  His demeanor was not that of any debt collector I've dealt with before, rude and hostile. I immediately hung up. When I called back a few days later, the woman I talked to said the number they called was removed and checked the number I was calling from on caller ID, she then wanted to know if it was my number and wouldn't tell her of course. She went as far as to ask for the name of my carrier so she could call and find out whos number it belonged to... Cell carriers can not give out info to a third party, she was lying to get me to say who I was. She even said I should "man up" and admit who I was. These ARE NOT normal debt collector, more like scammers. Their scare tactics are lame at best. DO NOT even talk to these people.

These people keep calling and when my attorney called them and told them who he was they hung up on him. Wen he tried calling back they answered the phone what do you want?

they called me 2 different times. They called the woman who babysits my son and told her that if she didn't give me the message and have me call them back by the end of the day she was going to jail. and they just called again yesterday. This time they called my mother's phone and left a voicemail saying that they were CPS (she assumed child protective services) and that it was a matter that needed immediate attention that I was in trouble and left her a case number. I'm filing charges.
