While you are at it, can you explain Ryon Gambill's criminal record, outstanding arrest warrant and foreclosure? Did you tell the DWP about that?

In the state of CA, where they are, the statute of limitations on filing a suit against someone to collect a debt is 2 to 4 years.  These people are bottom feeders who are trying to scare people into paying them money.

Here's something you can do.

If they call you, first, just refuse to pay. Tell them the debt is not yours, that it is too old, whatever.

Then, start calling them, demanding to speak to Ryon Gambill, the owner, to complain about the harassment.

Eventually Gambill will do something stupid, like do improper credit bureau searches on you. When he does that, you complain to the credit bureau. They will probably remove it. But, tell them you want to be compensated. File a small claims suit and complain to the FCPB about them. You might get some money (I know people who have received between 5-8 thousand from Experian) but you will make Gambill's life sheer hell along the way.

You can also file a police report on them. In some states, this results in an arrest warrant for him. He has a couple.

Right now, Gambill is trying to raise money. He has a new company called Northern Credit and Collections. Note how he uses the same letters, NCR, all the time. He lost money in his divorce, he did not plan it well and his house was foreclosed and sold at auction. He lives with his new girlfriend, Christina Troll. If he has more lawsuits and warrants in his name, no one is going to invest in his company.

Also in California they have these new laws about debt collection, for a fact, he won't follow them.

But you are a fool to pay him. Fight him and you will win!

Unwanted call

I just received a voicemail telling me to call them back, after reading these posts I don't intend to call them back. No information was left for me like past debt collectors have done. I don't want them calling my place of employment. Please help.

Hey Gabby from CPS.....good luck with me returning your call.  Seriously this [***] left me a message saying she was calling about question on my 2013 tax refund.  Uhm, hello, I haven't even filed taxes yet #1 and #2, maybe you should read the IRS website indicating that they won't start processing tax returns until Jan. 31.  Maybe then you will think about calling with a different line.  I wouldn't share any kind of personal information with you now or ever for that matter.

I just received the SAME call. No information about why, just saying they had a few questions about  my tax return. Umm no thank you

They claimed I owed them $565 on a payday advance from 2007 and they only take credit cards??? Like really??? I didn't trust them thank God

Ryon Gambill is the man behind these calls. He operates Marauder Corporation, Northern Collection and Recovery, Check Protection Systems and Bill Collector in a Box.

He works on debts that are beyond the statues of limitations. There's very little he can do to you. He will harass you and he will abuse access to credit reporting. Complain to the credit bureaus, threaten to sue them. Complain to the CFPB about Gambill.

When they call, make fun of them. Remind them of the law, remind them that Ryon's house got foreclosed on, remind them that Ryon is a recovering addict, remind them that Ryon has a criminal record. Remind them that they are LOSERS for working for Ryon and that YOU WILL NEVER PAY.

And, for a final insult, tell them you think Christina Troll, Ryon's current girlfriend, is ugly and a high school dropout.

These people called and said he was from CPS and it is very urgent I call him back regarding my file.  Sounds like a scam.  Not going to call him back.  Why aren't they being investigated?

This company will not stop calling. I have spoken to them  more than once asking to stop the calls. Not only do they call my phone from different area codes sometimes up to 6 calls per day, they are now calling my son and daughter. They have used their name as CPS and have gone as far as leaving a message that it was regarding my school age children. My children are grown. They have also left messages saying they were coming to my home and I better be there. The next day they called saying they were confirming that someone would be at my home at a certain time as promised the day before. Of course no one came.

This is Marauder Corporation, CPS, NCR, all names used by Ryon Alan Gambill. The debts are fake, made up, or too old to collect.

Yes he will make all kinds of threats. He never follows through. If he puts an entry on your credit report, protest it. Experian is getting tired of being sued because of him.

When they call you can have fun by asking them if they knew the boss, Gambill, has a criminal record and if they knew that he lost his house when it got foreclosed on.

But NEVER pay him. He is a scammer.

On "insidearm.com" Ryon Gambill has posted suggesting he's closed down his agency. And, the phone number, (760) 423-1100 is now out of service. It would be GOOD NEWS if Ryon Gambill, Marauder, Northern, and U Can Run are all out of business. The man is a disgrace to the debt collection industry and society as a whole.

The credit agencies took the debt off. Experian was a little difficult but when I pressed for the contact details of the person doing the so-called "approval" of the debt they backed down.

It seems Ryon Gambill has fallen on hard times. He lost his house to foreclosure. He's in the middle of a child custody dispute. He's had to move into a smaller apartment. He still has lawsuits against him and one judge allowed him to be served at Marauder's mail drop. All this, on top of a criminal record (convicted of harassment) and a Virginia arrest warrant (for harassment) it is going to be a miracle of Gambill could even get a job at McDonald's.
