this company calls old people and tries to find out their banking information stating that they are going to remove the money owed from their bank accounts.

You must work for them. I have never had a loan, and the ones I did are paid. No matter who or what I owe Im not faxing nothing to nobody who has wrong info on me, so they can do more damge to my credit? Heck NO. DONT FAX NOTHING TO ANYONE WHO IS HARRASSING YOU MORE THAN LIKELY ITS A SCAM

Since reading all this, I am surely reporting this company. A lady name Melissa called me twice and left a voice mail message that she is CPS from 760-423-11000 ext 199 with a case # saying that she urgently need to talk to me about a matter. Well, I am going to call her and tell her off.

They called my NEW cell phone number, asking for me by my maiden name (which was changed 6 years ago).  I simply told them they had the wrong number.  They tried to get more private information out of me, and I just repeated they had the wrong number.  They then said, "Well, we'll further investigate because we have a possible fraudulant case here".  Go right ahead and investigate!  I for sure have nothing outstanding from when I used my maiden name!  Nice try, idiots!

they are saying that I owe a pay day loan and I wrote a check that was a closed checking account that I would be prosecuted and that the girl I spoke with was hard and said well I have 2 jobs and raise a family and you cannot even pay this 309.00 you owe. I asked her to send proof she said she has no time that it will be going to investigations where they get a hold of the IRS and any money that comes in they will garnish my wages. but court procedures and on and on....  she said because I have not responded to their demands she will start procedures by tomorrow...

I had sophia contact me too and she was really mean. I am so glad I seen this online because I was getting ready to try to find a way to pay them something because they threatened to take me to civil court for 309.00 that they say I wrote a check to a closed account back in 2010. That they have proof and information proving this....

These people are frauds. The company goes by many names such as Marauder and Check Protection Systems. Sometimes they just use the initials, CPS so you will think it has to do with child support.

The owner is Ryon Gambill, who has been convicted of harassment and who has outstanding arrest warrants in several states. The director of "customer service" is Ray Wrightsman who has been convicted of domestic abuse.

If you get a woman on the phone, it may be Kim Edwards Gambill, Ryon's wife, who used to be a hairdresser or it could be one of a series of "managers" they hire from time to time.

The company gets your information from Experian, in violation of the law. Just sue Experian. They always pay, they settle out of court, it just goes to show you that this is a profitable racket. Experian just writes it off as the cost of doing business.

But if enough people see Gambill for the con man he is, they will stop paying.

He will make all kinds of threats, but unless you live on La Sierra Drive in Palm Desert, CA. don't worry (he runs it from his house). Given his background he stays out of court except when he gets sued. A few years ago he owed so much money he tried to declare bankruptcy and it got thrown out for fraud.

These people called my job and cell the go by many names launder cos couple of name called a Melissa, regeal white I asked them to tell me the bank supposedly send my money the bank they gave me was not in my area I couldn't identify what lender gave my money or give my there info. Told me I was going to be taking to court and sent to jail. I sent them several letter to not to contact me or my family or place employment certified mail they still cont. To do so. When I told him I was . Not going to pay he to me to shut my mouth and started to yell at me. I block there calls now they are leaving message under my new married name how they got my new info I have not got anything or changed my bank account yet only my social # they are pulling my. Credit to get all new info off of it the how they got my new phone number and name these people hell........ they will not stop I don't know what else to do

i too received a call from a Christina from CPS 1-760-423-1100 ext 104  on 4/12/2013 stating that i too owed a payday loan in the amount of $1,675 from CASH Advance USA from back in 2005 ( ummmmmmmmmmmmmm this has been 8 years) from the info she gave me it seemed accurate but in reality i had all three of my credit reports sent to me and it clearly states that i only owe $275 for this payday loan i took out back in 2005. i took it upon myself to contact this payday loan company and verified that i was in fact in debt of only $275. This company CPS is a SCAM to the fullest i have made many calls to CPS and get no answer nor is there anyone by the name of Christina that works there at that extension and to tell me to pay the amount she gave me $1675 immediately on a prepaid card was ridiculous  and that i had to pay it off right away that a warrant was out for my arrest and so forth . I still yet have to speak with her cause again everytime i call there seems to be no answer and no Christina

I recieved a call from Emily Cash. She was not only smart and clevor, always being one step ahead ...but she let me see that this was a serious matter. I wrote a bad check and didnt pay it back. regardless that collectors can be mean,, i see why now. miss cash broke it down to me aas to why the tone of her voice was so well, stern. She deals w scum thefts all day. You go, Emily Cash! Made me see that next time i consider writing a bad check... I better think twice unless i want to be called by them!

People !! When belly-crawling dirt-bags from foreign call centers call you, it's simple. Tell them to put their claims in the mail. NOT e-mail or fax. Then pull up a chair, grab a beer and get ready to laugh like hell! Scumbags like this one here can be sources of endless entertainment. Threats of everything under the sun. Sreaming, yelling, profanity..they're F'in hilarious! Just remember, they're nothing but foul bags of hot air. They are completely powerless. They're just like listening to a toddler that's being raised in the projects. Lots of foul language coming from a runt that's in need of a diaper change. Ignore the little beastie or block his calls. He'll throw a tantrum, maybe tie up your phone line for a bit. Maybe call your boss, call your relatives. Just warn them and tell them to have a cold-one ready. Comedy like these insignificant pests can provide should be shared!

I just got a call as well from 760-423-1100 saying I needed to contact him right away and gave me a case number as well.  He said he as spoke to me before and that is a lie I have never returned any phone calls as they have called and left messages.  They need to be stopped!

the name s SHIRE in plain words.. but apparently your ignorant. wow what a surprise.haha.What you dont know is... after trying to hide from this company, they will only make it worse for you, pay it while its still a low balance, otherwise a payday advance you took out for 100 bux and forgot about WILL amount to over 1000 in interest if you dont take care of it. I assume your one of the ones who constantley ignored their calls and repeated attempts to "help" as you take for granted. Ichecked my credit score. i aint gonna f with them . i did do this i did default on it and i almost got screwed cuz of it. I hope they ever call me again

People !! If a scumbag, like this joker here, calls you with some ridiculous claim of debt, tell him he now has 5 business days to provide you with validation of his claim. By mail. Not e-mail or fax. If he refuses, he's a fraud! It's just that simple!
If, by some strange reason, he actually does send you something in the mail..verify all the information. If it's bogus, send him a letter stating you contest the debt, and demand a full, complete and legitimate letter of validation. As outlined and required by federal law.

This in fact a [***] scam, sorry for the curse words but this has been frustrating me for like two months now i keep getting calls from this number 760-423-1100 a christina claims that i owe CASH ADVANCE USA close to $300 and they are trying to recover the money back. since my first call on 4/12/13 i was away on vacation and received the first call. As the call proceeded i told them that i would have to call them back. So for the last three to four weeks twice per week i have been leaving messages and trying to reach this [***] called christina and no such person works there i keep getting a mans voice mail and leaving messages. this so called amount i owe in on my credit report and as far as im concerned the statute of limitation in NY and TX is 5 years this so called balance or debt i owe is from 2005 its been over 8 years now. and this debt in fact was paid in full. so WTF

Just got a call from these people today. I had the worst conversation ever and told them I was calling the FBI. I, in fact, did call the FBI and the Trade Commission. Why have they not caught these people?

Give them time.  It took them over a week to capture the Boston bombers and two presidential elections and a new President to capture Osama bin Laden.  Why do you expect them to find the people calling you in a single afternoon?

They called today and said they were from cps. So my husband called back and was so confused. They gaVe him the referance number and told him that I owed money. Money from 2004 and 2007. They said it was from and check cashing place. I called left message. Something was weird. They leave all there info on machine to were to send money. Something does not sound right. Plus why would a collection agaency take 9 yrs to find someone.
