Called my job and threatned me...guys name was Robert Butler....but say that with a really thick accent.  Told me to call this magical Michael Carter person...talking about how I have this serious legal matter and some lawsuit against me!!!!!  Been down this road before with these people!  They use scare tactics that are TOTALLY AGAINST THE LAW!

I got this same call this morning. This kind of harassment needs to stop.

I got the same thing, they are a scam if they call again tell them you have reported them to the F.B.I. it's how you can get people like this to stop, or like this one I am mostly reporting them, the F.B.I. looks at this as a money laundering scam and will investigate, DO NOT GIVE THIS PEOPLE ANY INFO!!!!!

Oh and if you keep calling them from a blocked number, they get annoyed so you get a little revenge as well I LOVE AMERICA!!!

I am all in i want to get these scamers and make them pay they need to be prosecuted i am on board lets get these [***]

I received this call at my work today. Also had a voicemail. I get that they are doing this to others as well but what are they getting out of it? Money, identity, what?

same thing as ive been hereing... i did some further investigating and found they have there service through cox so i am calling them and asking them to investigate as well as submitting a tip to the fbi on their web site i hope this gets something done maybe if you do the same action will be takin

I got the same call this morning from a Robert butler 760-440-5421 telling me that I needed to call him asap or I will feel the wrath of the situation on fold on me really!! I am a mom of two going to school leave me alone already.

Got 2 missed calls from this number on ma job phone and 1 voicemail with no one talking....THIS IS A SCAM

Got the same kind of call from work.  Didn't give them information, but they had my name, work number and who I work for (all available on my voicemail message)...then a couple days later got a call from Ace Cash Express Loans about my approved loan application.  Be careful.

I think this number is connected with some payday loan scam company that steals your info when you apply for anything online. He says he is an attorney but it's all scam and they just try to scare you. They called me after capital advance llc company took $30 from my bank account claiming that I applied to them for payday loan! I didnt. Well, this dude with a heavy accent leaves me a voice message saying that he had court papers mailed to me.....will garnish my wages etc. I hope BBB can help. These people are shameless, thieves!

I got two calls this morning and i called them back and they said i had a law suit, i owed a payday company online and everytime i asked questions like what company  how much i owed they cut me off. They had India accents. I talked to a micheal and a christina, well if anyone knows better they dont have american names in india. SO i knew something was wrong. but they told me the cops will be at my job tomorrow morning, and if they win ill owe 7,000 dollars and if they find me guilty id spend up to 2 years in prison. Then i finaly told them to stop talking and listen and they hung up. but they kept asking for my lawyers number and was adament that i owed money to an online pay day loan. But i never took out any loans. They also said they would take it out of my pay. It freaked me out and i have high blood pressure and an anxiety disorder, this situation did not help. I a going to report it to the FBI and the police department, i also have the voicemail saved. This is bull and im so glad im not the only one who has experienced this. They told me they worked for an investigation company did they tell anyone else that.

OMG I had the same thing happen to me taking 30 dollars too,this is crazy stuff,and I never got a loan advance. I did get a call today about me and I need my lawyer to call them ASAP.

I received a call from a District attorney named Kristina. She stated i received a loan (which never happened) and i failed to pay it back. I asked her for her last name and a call back number for my attorney to call her back she said this is a serious matter and it would result in my arrest tomorrow morning at my job.

ive been getting these calls for a year now all started when i applied for a payday loan little do they no all my info isnt correct cause i wasnt sure and didnt go fully through with it but i knrw it was a scam im know criminal and dont have no criminal intent so i just keep hanging up they really need to do something about these scammers

had a voice mail on my phone threatening me with a very strong foreign accent. The msg said that I was goin to jail if I didnt call and give them my attorney info and take care of this matter today. Concerned I called back and a woman with the same accent answered stating that they are with a law firm for DHS. And that I was bein held accountable for 3 counts of fraud and will be arrested tomorrow at 11am at work since ive avoided all letters and sherrifs dept contacts. I explaind I have no.clue what she talkin about since ive never recieved any calls or letters of any kind. She then got very ugly and yelled at me telli. Me its about a payday loan I didnt pay back and that im to pay $496 today by phone or have to pay $7000 on courtday. She said id be extradited to california and serve 3 years in jail. Ive had problems with people like this before so I told her what I told the last ones that called"i know this is bull****  1st off DHS dont have anything to do with faulty payday loans and I recorded the conversation and turning you in for fraud" maybe they wont call back.

This person with an accent calls and tells me he's a paralegal and I have a legal issue going on.  He gives me my social security number and tells me I need to hang up an call back to speak to his supervisor.  I called back and imagine that..no answer...

Got the same phone call at work and on my cell. Saying I'm going to get arrested and all. The name he used was George Matthews. This is so not cool at all. He wouldn't let me ask questions and kept cutting me off then hung up on me. This is ridiciouls. Got the same call several months ago.
