This number just called my husband and got him all upset and mad.  There was a guy that called (surprise surprise named Michael  Carter) then a woman that he had to talk to when he called back because ole Mikey was gone to lunch......the woman had a accent.....they told him that he was going to be arrested, that he had a outstanding loan that he didn't pay back.....they he needed to give them the name of his lawyer, get in contact with the sheriff's office, etc......... He asked them the name of the Company that he supposedly owed money and the name was called "Cash Advance,"  he told him that he had NOT taken a loan out with them, that he knew this FOR A FACT, they said "oh ok" and hung up!!!!  We proceeded to call our local sheriff's office and surprise, there is no warrant for his arrest.  This is the first time that they had called him......this is frustrating!!!!!!!  How do you get them to stop!!!!?????

I just got a call from this number telling me that I have a law suit against me and that I was in a lot of trouble at first it scared me  until I Google the number and seen that was a lot more people that is having the same problem  there a web site that people can go to it is do not call list.com it is free

My wife and my brother in law both received calls from this number stating they are looking for me for a warrant and that they are on the way to my work to arrest me. My wife gave me the number they called from- 1-760-440-5421. I called them and asked who they were and they hung up. I called back again and asked the same thing. They hung up on me again. I called back one more time and now they don't even answer. I typed just the phone number in a search engine and it came up with this page. I feel much better that it's not just me.

DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK! I had a $37 charge on my phone bill from this number. I found some info indicating a Jason Gambling(maybe gamble) is associated with the number and upon researching the name I fund a man who has previously been banned from owning premium phone lines for similiar scams.

receiving harassing calls about a payday loan.  I have have never had a payday loan.  These people are rude, barely speak english and need to be stopped.

I went to Cash Advance USA web site followed the link to report scam and filed a report with Attorney Generals Office Michael Dewine They said it was a scam Contacted my bank filed Idenity theft with credit bureas and will file a police report

Said I was gonna be arrested at my job new name of my job my social and email James slipped and said loan was from Cash Advance USA he became very angry when I asked about debt and who I owed I said it was my right to know. He said you can just go to jail when he slipped and gave me the name I asked for a phone # he became more angry. I looked Cash advance up on line followed their link for scam disclaimer filed a report with Attorney Generals office Michael Dewine called my bank reported a fraud alert on credit bureas and will file a police report the names are similar to other posts along with what they are saying too

I just received this call from 760.440.5421. Telling me he was from the Department of Justice saying I was being sued on charges of felony fraud and that there is a warrant for my arrest!! I simply told him that there are no warrants for my arrest as I had just completed a background check for possible employment.

He has a thick accent and claims to be "Don" or "John" "Stevens". He even tried calling back and left me a voicemail "wishing me luck when the law kicks down my door"!

I don't know about you, but somebody from the Justice Department needs to be informed.

I got a call from this number and I'm not afraid anymore. Got a call before from the same country (India) saying the same exact things. What really gets me though is that they called my work number this time --- NOT COOL.

They're a total scam and who would really believe that a guy with an accent as thick as that and clearly reading a script would be a paralegal or even carry on US legal procedures.

The last time, they were asking for $900 for a $250 payday loan I took out. I got so scared that I was going to borrow the money from a friend but when they heard the story, they told me to not take it seriously and ask for the Atty License # they were using, where they were located, etc.

Be Strong guys and let's not be intimidated by "legal" verbiage spoken from a guy who clearly is not living here and who has poor sales skills.

I received a call today from these idiots saying I need a atorney and I have a lawsuit pending.  Funny thing, I just got married and recently appied for a loan with my new married name and now I have debts with this name. Just for everyones information, if they want your attorneys information, look up the information for your states Attorney Generals office. Don't tell them who it is but give them the information like it is your personal attorney. After a few calls they will get the hint if they don't get busted first.

I just recived a call from this number as well only they called my work and told my boss they had a warrent for my arrest. Naturally she called me right away. I was freaken out because they would not tell anyone anything and would not anwer the phone at the number I gave them. I have never been in any kind of trouble so I was very confused. But the man who called said his name was John Stevens and that I had a warrent also he had a very thick heavy indian accent. Again I agree I dont think the name John Stevens fits that bill. So my fioances mom looked up the number and who would of guessed its a load of crap. Non the less it scraed the crap out of me but now I know. I really hope people dont really give these people information. This needs to stop!!!!!

I recieved a phone call this morning at my job from this number and they told me to contact Dan Wilson or Don Wilson. So i called them back and they said that there was a law suite against my name and SS#. Then i asked them what for and they told me it was because i didnt pay back a payday loan from Cash Advance.com and they needed my attorneys name and number. If i didnt have one they would provide me with one. i asked them when the funds were sent to my account and for how much as well. They told me they can disclose that information they just kept saying that it was from cash advance.com and that they were going to send an email to the sherriff office to issue a warrent. They then asked if i had recieved a phone call from the police and that they would send me an email of the law suite papers that i never recieved. I called the cashadvance.com place via the internet and they dont even have anything on file of my name or SS#. And now everytime i call 760-440-5421 number no answer.

Im seeing now this is all a joke! i am a single mom and work 24/7 to provide for my kids and this kind of "joke" is not funny at all!

I recieved a call from this number several times on my cell and then at work  stating attorney Michael Carter needs to speak with me and they threatened to have the police come to my job and arrest me.  They stated the police contacted me last week and I never responded to the police nor the emails sent. Ive never recieved a cash advance in my entire life! I left work to go talk to my attorney who assured me its a scam.  My attorney stated, 1st red flag is the police do not get involved in civil matters.  Im pursuing an harrassment charge as there are several threatening voicmails at my job and on my cell.

my husband also recieved a call from these people but he said his name was alan adams on the voicemail, my husband called back he read the affidavid after that my husband was trying to get information about who these people are and then they hung up and now they will not answer the phone, we have also contacted our county sheirffs office to see if my husband really does have a warrent out for his arrest!! I dont know what to think right now and highly freaking out!! We do have some loans but not through the companies that this indian middle eastern [***] sounding guy said they where through. I dont see how people can do this to other people and feel good about themselves and what they are putting others through!!!!  I hope these jack wagon of people get what they deserve!!!
