- ConcernedReceived a call from this number at 3:00 AM!!! It really scared me because my mother is in a nursing home and thought they were calling me. They hung up before I could answer.
- CeCeSomeone called my grandmother from this number claiming to be me. Said I went to visit a friend in California at some point took a cab that apparently had cocaine hidden inside, was pulled over & now was I was in jail & I needed $2,500 to get out. My grandmother all but sent money. She called my mother to see what was going on whom called me & asked where I was. I'm home, all the way on the other side of the US with my kids. I don't know anyone in Cali, never been, don't do cocaine & never been in a taxi or jail. So whomever it was sure went into enough detail to get some money, that they new my name & that was my grandma & almost got away with some cash, if my grandma hadn't have been smart enough to look into facts. But scaring my grandma is a really low punk move & I don't find it funny at all!!!! Nor that the app is useful, when it's apparently used only for no good! I say delete it! & I hope whomever it was that called gets what's coming to them!

- Common Sense replies to AdamThis is the number and name that shows up when someone calls using Google's email. They need to change it so that the name connected to the email account being used to place the call is what shows up on caller ID. My student email account is run by Google. I use my student email account to place long distance calls for free. I am not scamming anyone. It is just a cheap way for me to make long distance calls. It is a shame people are using this as a way to scam people. It would help some if Google did make it so that the name connected to the email account is what shows up on caller ID. But since you don't have to use your real name to get a Google email account, it would not totally solve the problem.

- AnonymousThis number called my grandfather this morning and claimed to be me (using my first name) and said he was at a funeral in California. My grandfather knew it wasn't me (we live in pennsylvania) and told him so and then the caller hung up. There are many other posts online with a similar scenario so this is obviously a scam by someone who is getting access to phone numbers of the elderly and the names of their relatives. If anyone knows how to report this to the proper authorities, please do so.
