We've received about a dozen recorded calls from this number. The latest was from "Emma Cheney" from the "National Legal Corporation" threatening us with a "judgement" against us that must be paid. I checked on the internet and it is a total scam. Since thousands of people have been called by these scam artists, why haven't the authorities done something about it?

I had gotten a call today from 774-221-8770, and the only thing from that whole recording that caught my attention was "restraining order." When I called the number back, I just got a voice mail recording from a guy name Brian. I did leave a message and no one has returned my call, so my worry is finally over since I now know that I'm not the only one who has gotten this ridiculous message and was not served with any form of papers.

I got this call and after holding for about 10-15 minutes, I was connected to a man that said I owed a bad debt from a credit card, HSBC or Household Bank, from 2001-2005.  He had the last 4 of my SSN, my address, and my full name, including my full middle name!  He said they would be issuing me a summons if I did not pay and I told him to bring it b/c I pay my bills.  He also said that they had mailed me a statement as recent as last month, which I did not get.  I'm going to report tomorrow during business hours.

I wanted to add that they called my cell, my son's cell (that's in my name), and my home phone.

They used my first and middle name in the call i received. Could never get through when calling back. Not sure the reason behind this scam but is pretty rediculous!

I just got this call. Told me I have a lawsuit. And I only have 24 to 48 hours with my lawyer. Damn, why this number keep alive for so long time?

Got the exact same message. Must be a scam. Where should I report it?

I got a similiar call and have no knowledge of what they are calling about, a restraining order on a bank account.

I am being harassed almost daily by these &%@#*&^, Today's call came at 4:50 a.m. This has been going on for a year and a half. Neither Consumer Affairs or the Attorney General of California will help unless I can find out if they are a legal corporation and where they are? They say the phone number is not enough for them to proceed? I only know that the 774 area code is Cape Cod. My phone number is (530) 629-4862. Please, HELP. I am not the subject they are looking for.

I stay in trouble with the law so I called 4 times and got a recording..but then I finally got through he said the Homeland Security intercepted an email I sent and unless I could clear it up with him I would be arrested in 24 hours ..and there was a restraining order in place with everyone I visit or talk to but contacting them on this matter would result in 5 years in Fed prison ...the kicker ..I asked how I could clear this up he said very easy but first he had to verify I was Phillip Bryant I said ok then he asked for birthday I gave ..then Social Security number I told him they should have that if they were who they said they were he said he did I said read it to me and I'd tell him if it was right ..he said it doesn't work that way and asked me again ..I refused ..so he said ok I would be arrested with in 12 hours and I better contact my attorney its been 3 days now and I'm still here...scam

i received several calls from this number askiing for my sister who lives in California saying she had a civil complaint including restraining order against her.  When i called the # back i get a mailbox full response.

Being late on morgage or in Pre- closure is public records .... Scammers look this up and then try and scam

Same message, as others have stated, same ID number as others have stated, no one answers, just that the mail boxes all all full and to leave a message, this has to be a hoax!!

Got a second call from this number. First one was last week. Call to my cell phone and home phone at the SAME TIME! Same message with a file number I have ignored. Get on them hard this is not a fun thing to go thru!
