Threatened w/court appearance, legal action, & restraing order. Researched previous scam & made complaint 2 attorney general & contacted State Bar Asc 4 attorney referral. Blind billing scams. Don't respond & research debt collector & your rights.

I have gotten this call myself and along with my ex-husband of 24 years and son who lives out of state and barely got his phone number eight months ago. it claimed i had a restraining order against me and law suit and my finances may be frozen and/or tapped. i was told to contact the number within 48 hours and like everyone else cannot get ahold of the person. i am going to contact the Better Business Bureau as soon as possible about this phone call. i would recommend everyone else doing this.

I too got a recorded message from this number saying there was a restraining order against me. Called the number and mailbox is full. It is a scam.

Just listened to a voicemail left on my cell phone stating that I was being named in a lawsuit and that a restraining order is involved. They also gave me a civil #. I knew this was BS right away. SCAM!

I got this call today from 774-221-8770. Recorded message saying I had a civil complaint and restraining order and to call this number. I called t thy said on recording that it was national legal corporation. I googled them and food out it's a scam.

An obvious scam in the form of an actual threat. I reported it both to the FBI and the tate Attorney General.

Recieved this call 2x,s. Same message each time. Except the person (me) name was different to who they wanted to contact. Left same message as others stated 24 - 48 hrs to respond. Contact your lawyer. Restraining order, civil suit, blah blah blah. No other information. Told to call 774-221-8770. My wife called the number after telling her not to because it was a toll call for us but she did. Now I hope not to get other calls like this because she returned the call and gave our number as a open line. They (who ever they are) do this to scam money from you and will get it anyway they can. Now have to pay the toll call fee for her trying to contact them. Also the people doing this scam are probly watching this site and laughing at us all for our comments. Just hope some day they will get theirs.

called w/message concerning my son and restraining order....

They contacted me about a restraining order.  Gave me the above # to call.  All mailboxes were full.  Said call back later.  It also left a claim Number.  I had a feeling it was a scam.  I don't want anymore calls from them!

Received phone call from National Legal Civil Investigation, phone #774-221-8770. Said there was a civil case against me,  left a case number and phone number to call, also said to give info to my lawyer. The name that showed up on my caller id is Emma Chaney.  I called that number but each time I called, the mail box was full.  They never left the name of the person they are trying to call, so how can we know who it was for.

They said that I was being sued by a credit card company for $1495.00 and for credit card fraud, I told them that I did not commit fraud.  The man said that my assets and bank acct. would be frozen and attached, I told him that I was sick and could not work and could only pay $25.00 per month, he refused and said I would have to pay $149.00 per month until paid in full. He then said that I would be served papers for fraud.

Received a call today from 17742218770 saying a civil action has been filed against me and that I must appear and that there is. Restraining order. I have called the number about 15 times and every mailbox is full. I pray this is a scam because if not I have no idea what this is and it's got me pretty stressed out!!

I received a phone call first on my cell phone.  When I answered my phone not recognizing the number...774-221-8770...it was a recording.  Letting me know that I had a restraining order against me and that I had 24-48 hours to respond with my lawyer to this complaint. SVV9-3286.  I pretty much figured it was a scam because I thought you had to have someone come to your house and deliver it personally and have you sign for it.  I wasnt sure if maybe it is done differently now...not knowing 100%....so I called my cousin's husband who is a lawyer and let him listen to it.  He is the one who advised me to google the phone number and that it is more than likely a scam.  Also said it would be wise to report it.  If they get enough complaints...they can be under investigation.  They also had my home phone number and left the same message.  BTW...when you do call...like the above posts read...you cannot get through.  Hit 1 or 2 and it says mailbox is full and hit 3 and it says invalid selection.

This is definitely a scam.  If you were being sued, a process server would show up at your house or workplace unannounced and serve you.  You cannot be served over the phone.  The restraining order threat is also empty for the same reason.  This sounds like a sleazy illegal debt collector.  If you really did owe debt, you certainly would not be served with a restraining order.  They are violating the FDCPA right and left.  I wouldn't talk to them if they call again, but if you do, try to get their mailing address so you can certified-mail them a debt validation letter, or if you do not owe any debt, you can certified-mail them a cease-communication letter.

Received a call from National Legal Corporation with a recording both on my cell phone and land-line phone.  Message states I have a class action suit against me and that I need to respond with my attorney within 24-48hrs.  The recording states that the avadavit number is SVV9-3286 and it response to a restraining order being brought against me.

Received message on phone and also phone for prior address'. Same as others, call and goes nowhere, as all boxes are full.
