These people have called repeatedly to the point of harassment, and are obviously scammers since they say "We're trying to reach John Doe. If you're not that person, press 2. Duh...if I'm not that person why do you want to communicate with me."

Reeived a call from this number on 01/09/2010 at 12:15 pm. I answered since I had not seen this number before on my Caller ID. A nice female asked for the person who had this number before me (my brother calls this a "recycled" phone number)... anyway, I explained to her that I have received numerous debt collection calls for these people ever since I got this number in March '09.. have no idea who they are, or where they are. She said that she'd remove my number from her database. It was a polite and professional conversation. So... I'll have to wait and see if they call again.

I have been receiving numerous calls from various bill collectors, and finally contacted one of the legal firms that advertise here on 800notes. I got a reply by phone very quickly; I put together a call log for them; now they are going after NCO and it looks like I'll be getting monetary damages! There are two others that they are working on as well.

So - contact one of these law firms that specialize in going after these debt collectors. Make a call log - date, number, time. It's worth your while and the debt collectors (defendants) have to pay the legal fees for their illegal practices.  Don't tolerate the calls - take action.

I have been receiving calls from this number constant and they hang up!  When I called back asked several times what company it was FMCB then they went through a list of names none that referenced anyone in our home.
I was happy to tell them they had many complaints here on line they should see we are not stupid.

I have no idea why they are calling.  I do not have the voicemail feature activated on this blackberry so I get no messages.  Since I dont use this device as a phone I neither place or answer calls to it.  And since it is registered in my business name I have never used that # as a point of contact.  I am going to express my concerns to Verizon as their # records are supposed to be protected.

This # 775-412-4499 keeps calling they will not leave a message on my ID -don't know WHAT, WHERE OR WHAT they wnat.  Plus I am on Do Not Call List but guess that doesn;'t help!

It would appear you are getting a call from a collection agency.  That number is listed to First National Collection Bureau.  Very much a legitimate business, I know I checked. Considering it is not very cost effective for them to call wrong numbers, you may want to communicate with them and tell them so. Unless of course you are the person they are seeking then my suggestion would be that you "PAY YOUR BILLS". I find it amazing that they had your maiden name and if you talked to them probably a whole lot more info about you.  Face it,your caught. You may have conveiniently forgotten about all those unpaid accounts you left behind,but apprently the people you owe haven't, which in my opinion is justifiable regardless of how old it is. Sure there are statutes that cover this but you owe it, so pay it! I'm sure that if some1 owed you enough money you would endlessly pursue its recovery as well. Once again - "PAY YOUR BILLS"

They keep asking for my sister who has not lived here for 15 years.. They say to hit 2 if you are not the person.. I hit 2 about 25 times.. that was a week ago... they have not called back.... You might want to try that.. Good Luck

calls asking for a mexican name, Albunyous, if you are him dail 2 if not dial a 1.

They call a few times everyday, phone number is listed, but party calling is "UNAVAILABLE." Ridiculous- I don't know anybody by that name. If they were a reputable firm, they wouldn't block their calls. And leave a message too- a hang-up is not a message! It's just harassment.

They keep calling, comes up unknown, will not leave a message on my machine, so Im not answering it!! Could very well be collections for 16 year old debt... Leave me alone already!!!

Phoned twice so far. Don't know the person they want - never heard of them. Pressed 2 as requested to inform them I was not that person. Made no difference. Phoned again. Next time they phone will pick up and put them on hold and play crappy music. You IDIOTS !!!

Say -- are you sure you aren't a shill for First National Collection?  There is absolutely NO reason to assume that simply because you receive a call from these clowns that you actually owe anybody anything.  These people are part of a string of folks who have been harassing my wife about someone who has the same first and last name, but not the same middle initial, and who lives at a different address.  I appreciate the people who have given the specific instructions about cease and desist, and more complete information about the company -- you can be assured I will pursue legal action against them for harassment if it doesn't stop once they are put on notice.

I've been getting calls from them lately for Eugene.  I am not Eugene.  I don't know Eugene.  I don't give a rat's [***] about you or Eugene.  If you want to talk, stop hiding behind a recorded message!  If you understand, press 1.  If you're confused, please stay on the line and no one will be with you shortly.  Your call is not important to us.

I've received calls from this number for at least a year. Usually several times a day. It's a recording that says "We need to speak to Amy XXXX. If you are not this person press 2. If you are this person press 1." If I don't press a number the call hangs up. When I press 2 it hangs up. One time a person actually came on the line and I asked them who they were and told them no Amy ever lived here. They wouldn't answer me back and after a person of silence they hung up on me. The person asked for had this number several years ago. It's very annoying as they call early and late. The caller is commiting a Criminal violation in my state known as "Telephone Harassment" but the authorities won't don't anything unless you present all the necessary evidence and numerous victims are involved. They won't investigate.
