I use a digital telephone system named Ring Central . . . basically like Vonage, or your cable company like Comcast . . . or even Verizon Fios.  On mine, I can check the number that is making the unwanted calls . . . AND BLOCK THEM.

Now, when they dial my number they get a recorded message that says, "The number you are calling cannot be reached from your calling area, Goodbye!"  Even if it's just a computer dialing my number, after the message has played, my system hangs up.

Other than a few seconds of time for the computers to process everything, I never even know about it.

So, I know not everyone has digital phones, but one really good reason to get one, is this.

Yeah I called the 1-800-882-0803 @ 6:50pm Central Time, a lady answered and said that they have a 30 day grace period before your number is removed from their list, however "they are pretty good about removing it sooner".

Time for the Obama admin. to enforce the "do not call list" and plug the gaps along with political robo calls. The FCC messed this one up..

Thanks! I called the number and was told they would remove my number.  I also took the opportunity to tell them how annoying it is to have them call daily, up to 7 times one day, and then have no one on the other end. Some telemarketing company - sheesh!

Our corporate offices gets this call numerous times weekly but they are always rejected.  Caller ID shows 785-799-3900 - BVTM, so the button to REJECT is always hit.  We don't want to give this incoming call any satisfaction by answering or sending to a special extension we had to install for telemarketing callers.

This site is fabulous!    It truly helps to have reports to refer to before ever returning a call to a telemarketers phone.

Don't want calls from here --always trying to sell --I am on  fixed income and do not have any extra money.

Now they are calling the state of oregon, next time they call and you recognize the number, hit the pound key several time #######, this sends a signal to either to the human listening or their auto dialer and treats it like a fax machine, they give up, done this a few times on other calls, works great!

Oh please.  Businesses pay to be listed in the Better Business Bureau directory.  It is supposed to give status.  Since these companies, who pay, provide their salaries,well ......  They will write letters to companies and try to help you but that is all they do.  They also attempt to mediate but not very effectively from what I have seen.  And basically their response is, "well we tried".  I'm not sure why people bother.  They have no power.

Hi, I just called 785-799-3500 to have my number removed from the list, spoke to a Cyndy, who agreed to have it removed, but it may take up to 30 days ?!

Why so long to remove a name from a auto-call-list?

If they don't stop after 30, I'll post again.

I was able to contact them at  (785-799-)3500 and hopefully remove my number from the 3900 call list, but why do we need to pay a toll call to tell them to stop calling us? If someone does file suit, plz keep us informed.

Thank God for caller ID. These people call every day at least once if not more. We have yet to answer when we see their number come up. But it is annoying. we too are also on the national do not call list, maybe time to update.
