On March 13, 2014, 9:10 AM  EST, I received another voice call from them. I return called their 800# (800-882-0803) and after contacting, complaining and getting no satisfaction whatsoever from the Washington, DC offices of the FCC and FTC, I voice spoke with a lady who answered this Blue Valley Telemarketing phone line, and who identified herself as Jennifer Jones. I repeated for the 43rd (!) time: "Please turn your recorder on... [Response: We do not have a recorder (both FTC and FCC, knowing this firm, says they DO record incoming calls)"  I continued: "For the 43rd time, take the number xxx-xxx-xxxx (our home number) off your records, and do not call that number (OR) myself or my family again." Response: "Sir, I have no way of doing that (FCC and FTC say this is a false statement via wire, a federal offense possibly U.S. Justice Department investigable) I repeated the exact demand a second time, first again requesting that she turn her recorder on. Response: Click, phone conversation terminated.

It is far past time to sue these people, AND to sue the Federal Government for deliberate non-action, and get our $11,000 or more back from them, which of course is a laugh, as we will never see a penny of that or anything else.

Has everyone gone mad here? This company is making unsolicited calls to your residence or business. It doesn't matter that they're courteous if/when you talk to them, they're still wasting your time by having to take that 60+ seconds to tell them not to do what they shouldn't be doing in the first place! If you get 5 of these calls a day, as I do, that's an average of 10-15 minutes to deal with this crap. Who has that kind of time during a work day to deal with this kind of bulls**t!

Call came in as External party (did not show phone number). Female ID'd herself as Michelle, asking for one of our engineers. When I asked what company she was calling from, she replied: "Blue Valley". Googled the name and a telemarketing company in Kansas popped up. She went to a generic voice mailbox.

I have not had any print subscriptions since 1973, so I'm *sure* I'm not on any subscriber list. This is just another robocaller annoying those of us who have gone through proscribed channels to avoid these kinds of calls.  If they're legit they're not doing a very good job of screening the source of the questionable lists they've bought.

We have been getting calls from this number for about a month, sometimes up to 3 or 4 times a day.  We are fed up with calls from this number as we are on the "Do not call" list.  Please let them know we do NOT want any more calls.  Thank you!

Receptionist replies to Kosmos Hair Salon
Call came in, caller ID said BVTM, they've called from another number (785-799-3900) before so I knew they were a subscription magazine renewal company. With the other number I had asked off over 5 times to no avail but this was the first call I've received from this number. The woman/girl calling said she was Christy Maples with SC magazine for one of our sales guys, (remember I know why she's calling). I asked what magazine SC was and she was rude and was just like "it's S-C, it's for a magazine HE already has a subscription to, I need to talk to HIM." Then I asked what SC is abbreviated for since she wasn't exactly forth coming and she said it's an IT Security magazine. She was just very rude and snotty, I told her I'm the receptionist and it's my job to screen the calls. I put her on hold for 2 1/2 minutes while I ate some of my lunch and then let her know he was unavailable. She asked if anyone there could help with the renewal (well, I can but she was being such a brat.. lol) and I told her no and hung up. Maybe you shouldn't be so damn rude to the receptionists... we are the gate keepers after all! :P

Telemarketers are just trying to do their jobs. If you are rude to them right off the bat then why would you expect for someone to then be nice to you! Common courtesy goes a long way. Maybe this is a small community where there are not many job oppurtunites and are just trying to support their families like everyone else! They did not wake up one day and decide telemarketing is their life long dream ..like i'm sure lil miss receptionist being a secratary wasn't  your dream carreer! FYI the do not call list does not apply if you or the company has ever done business with the company or magazine that is calling you!! And another little tip saying take me off the list does not get added to the do not call list. You must say the magic words for that to happen, take me off your list are not the words.

Sporadic, sometimes twice a day, claiming to be "Redmond Media Group" wanting to confirm an email address for whatever.  The pattern also follows a bogus CID that's often shows 1234567890, often there's just silence or maybe some noise until their robodialer drops the call.

I got in a couple of polite requests that they stop calling, but was ready to snap by the time I'd had somewhere between 5-10 silent/hangup calls..   So I resorted to what I've recently used as a more effective tactic:  Foul, offensive language, with an extreme prejudice to cut loose with soul-ripping brutal abuse. Today I did my first, which got me a handoff to a supervisor who got a double-dose of abuse with extreme and foul swearing also.

So now I'll keep score to see how many of those it takes to make them stop.

Call it sad or unfortunate if you will, but my bad behavior has already been rewarded before:  Vicious abusive language is how I've already made at least two or three non-stop  --often daily--  nuisance callers (a survey maybe, can't even recall what/why by now) finally stop calling my home phone. If the psychotic tourette syndrome method works and polite requests don't, I'm starting to wonder why I should bother being nice to begin with....
