- weebie replies to PotterWe've recently been haranged and harrassed by telephone calls from this place. When I go to pick up the phone some one hangs up. No message is left. Thank you so very much for the info. I called the number to remove our name from their call list. Spoke w/Jennifer and am counting on our number being removed.

- Ron replies to Karen Bourassa| 1 replyBuy a phone that has caller block on it. I have a panasonic phone and I blocked them. It rings once in the house to let you let you get the # on caller ID and then it sends a call block signal to the blocked numbers list you have.
- robwe see this on our caller id EVERY DAY TWICE A DAY. no message, EVER. This is very frustrating.

- wsmI spoke with Jennifer at (785) 799-3500 (note it's 3500, not 3900) and she said she would have my number taken off the list. Hope it works because I get three to five calls a day from them.

- donnI received a call from 785-799-3900 and expected it to be bad news. I had googled the #, earlier, after finding a call on my incoming list but no message left. When they called back, it turned out to be someone wanting to know if I still wanted to receive my free subscription to World Oil, an industry magazine I receive. Simple, fast, polite, no hassles. The DNC list does not apply to companies you already have a relationship with, which is why they called me. The bottom line is, in my case, it was legit. I am marking the "call type" as unknown because I don't know what category it would fall under.
- Caller: cannot remember the name
- William H. Hsu replies to Annoyed1,151,003I received a call on my office phone. As has been everyone else's experience, they don't seem to have left any voicemail identifying themselves, and when I called them back, it rang and then I got the three "disconnected or is no longer in service" tones and the phone company's "We're sorry..." message.
I called +1 877 876 1228 and spoke to a woman named Nancy, who gave me the number of the subsidiary you mentioned, Blue Valley Telemarketing:
+1 785 799 3500
I phoned them a minute later and told her I had been cold-called asked to remove my office phone number from all of their calling lists permanently. She agreed to do so, but asserted that it was probably a magazine I subscribe to - in which case, she noted, it wouldn't be a cold call. I said I take calls from such organizations when I am available, but as a matter of personal policy, I have no wish to do business with any telemarketer that does not leave messages and can't be called back to find out who called.
For that matter, it is rather annoying for a publisher to employ such a telemarketer. Especially irritating is the fact that any or all of the free IT magazines I subscribe to are now suspect.
I can't imagine what would make them do this. I consider responding to the survey they read us a necessary cost of getting a free subscription, but even if I didn't, how would getting repeat auto-dialed calls from a mass marketer help them get me to do the survey? Are we such sheeple, to use an xkcd term, that we'll just relent and answer the survey because we think it will make them stop? I would sooner call and get off the call list even if it results in my subscription being dropped. This business practice is atrocious and if we customers act with even a modicum of solidarity, it will cease to be worth while for them. As Orson Scott Card often writes, in order to make someone stop doing something, you (typically) have to make them stop wanting to do it. - Frank HurtteI received a call from this number with no message. Call backs get a busy signal of a short message and a dead line.
- TonyClick through to their FAQ page (? icon in upper left). That will demonstrate their committment to customer service. I am not wasting my time or money on a phone call, they can just keep talking to my voice-mail announcement, I don't pick up the call.
