This is a fraudulent call where they are trying to obtain your personal information.  If you want this to stop, we all need to band together and call THEIR phone number back - continually - let their pre-recorded "out of service message" play completely until it hangs up on you - then call back several times.  This costs the company MONEY.  They have to pay for toll free calls made to THEM.  Eventually, they will be forced to stop harrassing people because it costs them too much money.

Call from a phone number that is NOT your cell phone.  I called from my office.

Received 1st phone call on 8/30/2011 at 8:52 AM to my personal cellphone, caller ID showed call as 8000000611 (no spaces), I didn't answer and no message was left on voice mail. 2nd call, same day at 9:29 AM to my work cellphone, caller ID showed 800-000-0611. I answered this one and voice stated, "...your Sprint account has been flagged for security purposes. Please enter your customer service PIN."

I don't even know the PIN for my company phone, so I hung up and figured it was a scam.

Interesting to read posts above. My number originated with Qwest, which was basically a flavor of Sprint, too.  And I'm on a different carrier now (AT&T) for about two years.  I didn't answer... who would, with an 800-000 in play?  Evil.

Just got a call saying it was from Sprint, my account was flagged for security purposes and to enter my account pin number & zip code. Note that i'm in TX & received this call @ 7am. I was still asleep & fell for it. But I thought about it after i hung up & called sprint right away. I changed my pin# & they noted my account. Sprint said what they will never call to just ask for your pin#. Sprint also said what these people are trying to do is order cell phones under your account & have it shipped to their address. Glad i realized what i did & changed my pin#.

Same thing here...Sprint customer in Kansas....same number also hit my son's phone......I quit answering ANY toll-free number or other funky exchange long ago.  The companies I do business with either have their name in the ID and/or I put them in my address book.  Scamming is a whole industry.  They'll get you in ways you can't imagine yet.  Unknown cell calls are always BAD!!!!

My Sprint number rang about 12:30 PM Mar 31 but hung up b4 I got it. Wife's phone rang a little later and she said the message was already going when she picked up but got the Pin# message. We are both retired Phone company techs and noticed the fake 000 code right away. I called it back and got exactly what I expected; a fast busy, or what is called an ATB signal. Obvious scam  with autodialer hitting different cell prefixes/area codes across the country.  Don't bother to answer.
