I received a call at work from this number. When I listened to the voicemail, it was in Chinese. Funny thing is I don't have a PNC account. Never have had one either.

Received this phone called twice from this number and ignored it and called the bank directly and it said nobody from Loss prevention department has contacted you today. Scammers are using this number to try to gather your information.  When receiving calls like this ignore them and call your bank directly if there are any questionable charges.

I also got a call from 1-800-225-5671, but suspecting a possible scam, called the number on the back of my debit card. They DID confirm that the 5671 number IS one from their fraud division, but handled the fraudulent charge while on the phone with them. So far, so good. The rep was very thorough.  K

Received a call that left a voicemail. Only received part of the message "activity on Visa debit card # ...." I was skeptical and thought it was a scam. I didn't call the number back. I called PNC customer service. There was a flagged and declined amount on my debit card that I didn't recognize. It is now taken care of.

This number has called 4 times today.  They left one message stating that they are with PCN bank and are investigating a VISA card. I do not have a PCN bank card so... blocked call.

    Not a Scam
Just received a call from this that I let go to voice mail.  Number did not match back of card and was not found on their website.  They had my full name and last 4 of one of my debit cards.  I did not see any abnormal activity on my account page, so I started an online chat with them.  They confirmed it was a legitimate call and there was a declined $1 charge that was likely fraud and wanted my confirmation.  They quickly shut off the card and issued a new one.  I would still never call the number back that was from the voice mail - always go direct.

Got 2 voicemails in a row. I know it's fake because the card # they gave me was an older card that I cancelled not my current card. Also I check my accounts no wierd charges. Finally, I have gotten this call recently in the past, what are the odds it would keep happening.

Had a 404 area code call andeave a voicemail says they are from PNC Loss prevention  and to call 18778419125, when I called lady asked for my debit card number then asked for the 3 digit security number on the back, at this time I was fully alarmed and asked why would you need my security code I've never had to give my security code! She says well if you want me to verify who you are I need it! I said no way! This is a scam do not fall for it! As soon as I told her I'll just call the number on the back of my debit card she was rude and said you do that! I did and talked to someone on the fraud department! They assured me they wouldnt ever call and ask for information like that! Be aware people it's aroundthe holidays and people are out to scam anyone they can!!! Do not even call them if theyeave a message saying the are PNC loss prevention! Only call the 888 number kn the back of your card!

I wasn’t sure if this is actually PNC. But when I checked my account there actually was a transaction I didn’t make! I verified this by calling  number PNC posted on their website so I think this is actually their number, it just isn’t posted for some reason.

Caller ID: PNCCarLostPrevn. Message asking to verify zip code. Checked with the 888 PNC number (on the back of card) as well as our local branch. This is NOT a PNC number. Suspect they need the zip code to use card # obtained by a skimmer or other device. DO NOT call this scammer number or provide information!

I got a VM from this number and was obviously wary. I called the real PNC number and gave her this number to see if it was real. She said it was not real, to block the number, and watch my account
